Warning ! Melb Folks ( Banyulecity Council Area)
HazyWal replied to persephone's topic in General Dog Discussion
Yes I saw this on the news and my first thought was thank dog my two wear muzzles. Stan would not eat anything unauthorised! You blasphemer! He seems like he has the same goal as Gus, leaving the house means sniffing and potential treats. I know he would eat whatever he found and at great speed before I could take it off him... Oh for sure he would hoover anything in in a second. Maddie will drop something if I tell her to "drop it" like the chocolate biscuits the kids over the back threw over the fence *sigh* but not piggy boy! -

Hi Debbie, You might want to ask your question in the Health section of the forum, as you can see this doesn't get a lot of traffic as the last post before yours was 5 years ago.

A friend posted this ad for organ donation on my FB last night, it's very moving https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mz2kDH0MCn4

Yes that's a good point it could've been imported. The breeder said it wasn't an OD and she gave them a huge spray for saying it was and told them to not advertise it as such, I don't blame her really. They deleted her comments instead.
-
Yeah agree dogmad I thought it was odd to pick a rare breed and then advertise it as pure :/ Someone is a champion googler by the looks  Anyhoo it's interesting to see them as I said I'd never heard of them in my life! Not that I'm any kind of expert on dog breeds I'm hopeless, I can't even pick crosses.
-
Depend what site you look at, this one looks totally different to that one to me :/ http://www.dogbreedi...rchidphotos.htm The ones on Animal planet video look like your link Hazy.. Yeah if you just google images for them there are quite a few variations by the looks. There is a breeder in South Australia. Sheridan I don't know I just saw this on DRN's page this arvo.

Hmmmm apparently there is one breeder in Australia that has had one litter with all pups accounted for, her comments have been removed I've been told O.o

I have just come across a rescue in Newcastle NSW advertising a rare Peruvian Inca Orchid dog for adoption. I have never heard of this breed so no idea if they have it right or not :/ has anyone ever seen one IRL? https://www.facebook.com/DogRescueNewcastle/photos/a.172433719452710.42240.172426779453404/1077581135604626/?type=1&theater

Why is she trying to find the dog that killed Wags? It could've been any dog there or even a couple of them. Sorry but she has to take some responsibility herself IMO and finding the dog or dogs that killed Wags achieves what exactly? There is not a hope in hell I'd leave my two at this place but if I did and Maddie was running with Wags that day I could guarantee it would be Maddie that killed him. So who would be to blame? Not Maddie that blame would fall squarely on mine and dickhead Dave's shoulders I'm afraid.

Yep. This is what the GBGW is all about, a fun day promoting our beautiful greys as pets. This is one of the many walks yesterday in the UK... -

It was great :D Freeeeeezing cold start but we had more than 30 dogs there and I got to catch up with several of my old foster dogs for cuddles. Idiot Dog, all dressed up and ready to be slowly dragged along behind everyone else. Bless the Goob, all Britted up. Well done Maddy for putting Greyhound Haven Tasmania on the worldwide map taking part in the GBGW ETA no wonder he falls over a lot look at his feet! -

What a shame that the anti's hijacked the Great British Greyhound Walk that took place today around the world, a global event to promote greys as pets, to push their own political agenda -
I don't have any advice as I don't have a clue what to do but hang in there Kirty, you'll work it out

The Adventures Of Ronin And Tigger - Update 29/05/17
HazyWal replied to Yonjuro's topic in General Dog Discussion
Aaaaaww loved the vids! When Maddie shakes her legs fly out at right angles, she's tripped me over a few times lol Love Ronin watching the footy with dad, sucking on his toy  -
Oopsie is listed as a Mini Foxie X and is 13 years old. There is no info on her profile yet but she is available from the Save A Dog Scheme in Melbourne. http://saveadog.org.au/animals-adoptions/601/small-dogs/874/ Look at that face

You know what happens when one assumes? It's a bit rich to say those of us involved in greyhounds don't care and as far as saying put your money where your mouth is, well that's just insulting. You know a lot about the industry do you corvus or just what you read on social media and watch on 4Corners? As others have said this will just be another platform for the wackos and the nutjobs to spew their uninformed opinions, they will be told how to answer the questions. Just reading through it for example the question that asks if greyhounds should be socialised with other breeds while racing. Now that will be an overwhelming yes by the people who have NFI, the people that think a trainer should have an elite athlete romping around a dog park making friends. Do you have any idea what damage can be done? Maybe WreckitWhippet can post a photo of the damage done to her greyhound that ended it's racing career. I have given blood, sweat and tears to greyhound rescue so don't dare tell me that because I can't be bothered filling out a pointless survey that I don't care. You have no idea...it really is just as simple as that.

Oh this'll be good O.o

BrandiandWe's greyhound Benny has problems with corns, hopefully she'll see this or maybe PM her.

Suggestions For A Dog Breed For New Dog Owners.

Please tell them to keep them contained and not them roam. -
And plenty of people don't do it. It's not 'suddenly' bad for some of us it's something we wouldn't do. Even when I worked two jobs I was always home to sleep, I personally wouldn't leave my dogs for a week (visiting for feeding) knowing they're sitting there in the dark wondering where the hell I am. Once again, it's my personal choice.
