  1. As Haredown has said: highly dangerous and possibly lethal to leave these sorts of collars on. I don't like leaving collars of any sort on my dogs, but I bought those breakaway ones with their name and my phone number embroidered on them. I went through Personalised Pet. The collars were very reasonable with a huge range of colours. I have the Personalised Pet embroidered ones too DD. My two wear them in front of their martingales when we walk in case they somehow did the bolt they have a number on them. I prefer them to tags as I've had tags come off before.
  2. I am a member of two Central Coast Lost & Found facebook pages. Would you like me to post this info on them WIW? Also can you give any surrounding streets to see which side of the Pacific Hwy and railway line.
  3. same here but it's only me...hanging on to edge for grim death with a token square of doona.
  4. This !!!! I too have heard of a very similar thing happening re check chains & 2 dogs getting tangled up, panicking & both died. One dog got his teeth somehow caught in the others dogs check chain, pulling it tighter & tighter, a fight erupted between the 2 dogs in total stress of the situation & within minutes, both dogs were pronounced dead as the owner of the dogs couldn't get them apart in time No collars on my dogs at home EVER. Not worth the risk IMHO. When we are out, naturally they are both collared & leaded. I know someone who left a check chain on their dog and the ring had slipped through the crack between the boards on their deck and swivelled sideways and the dog must have panicked and pulled, he was found dead on the deck when they got home No collars on my two unsupervised ever.
  5. No one asks for Maddie either She is very shy especially in crowds and she always puts her head under Stan ostrich style so they only really see her butt. She has the prettiest little face but she rarely shows it to strangers.
  6. Omg FM Luka is stunning!!! and Harper is soooooo pretty T
  7. Never been asked to swap anything but people always want to take Stan home. When people stop to pat him he turns into the "love sponge" leaning on them or putting his head in their lap if they are sitting at cafes although whilst they are gushing over him he is actually eyeing off their lunch. OT but I saw a bulldog down at the beach this morning, I've never seen one around here before but I think he is a mascot for the Central Coast Mariners soccer team who were training down there this morning...he was gorgeous!
  8. http://www.justlikehomepetresort.com.au/index.html Not in Newcastle but not far down here on the Central Coast is Just Like Home pet resort. I have not used them as I have large dogs and they only board small dogs but friends of mine board their three special needs littlies here and highly recommend it. Deb is wonderful and I have heard nothing but glowing reports about her facility and level of care.
  9. He sure did SG :) Maddie wouldn't move over on the lounge so he had to squish on the end and use her bum as a pillow
  10. Well done Jules and Miah Sounds like a fun day out :)
  11. Yes they are I continually comb Scumtree for greyhounds in need and if I find breed specific dogs I pass them on to the appropiate people. Dogmad is one of the wonderful people that either tries to track down a breeder or tries her hardest to find a rescue to take them. You are pretty amazing dogmad.
  12. The other dog listed has apparantly been given to a friend, owner is going overseas 2 weeks from the listed date
  13. Fantastic photos, I love chooks :) I was a friends place for a bbq recently and the girls(chooks) were happily wandering around us pecking at anyones toes that had painted nails. I went to pick up my handbag that was next to my chair and there was a chook sitting in it nodding off
