  1. Hahaha! I can see Stan opening an eye from his bed and then going back to sleep from all the energy expended... T. No no, Stan would welcome them, but only after making them open the fridge for him first! :D  Yes he would...Excuse me mate but before you pick up that flatscreen could you unlock this bloody fridge.
  2. It's gorgeous isn't it I saw it on OH!happygrey's page. Her name is Jazz and she recently had an amputation, she's become a greyhound pin up girl :)
  3. My two greyhounds would welcome an axe murderer into the house
  4. Sorry Prada they are done on a greyhound pattern so only fit the pointy heads. Have PMed you *kirty*.
  5. I know this is a crappy photo but I just looked over at my Maddie and she was having one hell of a roach and the cushion really said it all :)
  6. I'm guessing the chain is a check chain - a chain with a larger ring on either end? If so, consider yourself VERY lucky the chain came off your dog. These collars are only supposed to be used when training your dog and you'll find many DOLers won't even use them for training (as they can be considered harsh). Please reconsider the leather collar and if you feel you need to (with the help of an experienced trainer) only use the chain when training. They should only be used for training, never left on a dog when unsupervised. My Kenny's mother died from hanging herself on a fence, trying to escape. I told my ex so many times not to leave the collar on her when he wasn't home, but he didn't listen & the poor dog died in agony & alone, I will never forgive him for that. Edited to add, if your dog is microchipped, then there is no reason for it to wear a collar, except when training or taken for a walk. Yeah have to disagree on that one Mantis. Last time Stan was scanned his microchip had travelled down to his hip. I had a very experienced vet nurse trying her hardest to find it but it was just the last sweep that found it. That was two years ago, no idea where it is now. ETA my two never have collars on unsupervised but just saying you can not rely on microchips alone.
  7. I have to agree and I own large dogs.

  9. No a friend is knitting them, I struggle to sew a button on She was going to try and make ears for them but she's now thinking of buying old soft toys from the op-shop and cutting the ears off and sewing them on the hats  That actually sounds so awesome- You know, Stan's mum, they'll be a DOL-style riot if we don't see pictures of the above (started by me) :D I know isn't it a hilarious idea! When she said it to me I thought...eeeewww poor teddies...and then I thought of all those stuffed animals that have been beheaded and disembowled by the dogs and it didn't seem too bad

  18. Wow thanks all for the interest in Pam's homemade snoodies :) They are gorgeous and we are hoping to make other hound sizes as in whippets and maybe even Iggies :) Hopefully I am not breaking any forum rules but if I am please remove.
  19. Yellowgirl might have something for you and she lives in Adelaide, maybe send her a PM. I have a bandana you could've had but besides being probably too big it wouldn't make it in time.

  22. Sadly there are oldies listed all the time all around Australia. I couldn't count how many I have seen just in the last few years since I've been in rescue. As Powerlegs said some are genuine and sad, some not so.
