  1. That would be great SM in case he doesnt suit WP's home. Done, both of them
  2. Oh SL I'm sorry to hear this. Lots of positive vibes from me and the hounds, stay strong Zig
  3. I dont have much info atm on his background, but he should be too rickety to cause much trouble. His listing says ok with cats and dogs This is his adoptapet write up: http://adoptapet.com.au/animal/animalDetails.asp?animalType=3,16&statusid=3&regionID=7&task=search&tpage=1&animalid=295631 OK with cats? Is that the green lisiting and how is that tested? He could possibly live out his days here. No heater, we have a wood fire Els has always wanted a greyhound and we have soft spot for the oldies Oh WP that would be wonderful!!!
  4. Oh Gilly I would love to bring him home and well done to the work experience guy, Lokie is gorgeous!!! Can I list them on the Egrey facebook website?
  5. Aaaaaw iggy mum that is a beautiful photo What a lovely offer Corie, feel free to have a go at my Stanley :)
  6. Can't wait to see the old man, with a very unusual name! Yay for Nana Pom
  7. Sorry I find it a bit odd that a recue group would adopt out a dog that hasn't been heartworm tested.
  8. I don't foster anymore as I have two greyhounds of my own now but I am still very much involved in greyhound rescue by doing transports, spotting on Gumtree and pounds and passing them on to an Australia wide greyhound facebook site. I collect blankets and towels from op-shops and am sending this lot out to country pounds 700km away from me through generous people that are travelling that way. I buy small dog coats from op-shops and garage sales and post them down to small dog rescues in Sydney. I fundraise for Greyhound Haven Tasmania with the help of a friend who handknits snoods for greys, whippets and Iggies and we sell them online. I held a barefoot bowls day at my local bowling club last month which was a fun day out and raised much needed funds for greyhound rescue. None of these things cost me anything really, a bit of postage or petrol for transports but I love doing it and keeps me involved in rescue which I am passionate about. There are many ways to help and every little bit counts :)
  9. Oh that last photo is just priceless, the happiness on his little face is just heartwarming Hugs to you Anna, running free with Herb.
  10. I can sympathise Rosetta, Stan would start off fine with all of the kibbles I tried and then a month maybe two...squirts it's so frustrating. Touch wood we are up to about 8 months now and he is still powering on the VIP, if it would've been the Eukanuba, Pro Plan Salmon,Iams and whatever else I tried I would've stuck to that too it's just trial and error unfortunately.
  11. Havn't tried that particular one but Stan got the runs on Eukanuba
  12. What a lovely tribute to your boy Shaun. Hope you're getting lots of tucker and playing with your mates up there Fraser, happy birthday gorgeous boy.
  13. Just because you sacrifice something doesn't mean you feel negatively about it or are not receiving appropriate benefits/pleasures from having your pets. Completely agree with above. We all make sacrifices for many different reasons and having pets and being responsible means that sometimes you can't do everything you'd like to do. The love and enjoyment I get from my dogs makes up for those things though. Couldn't have said it better myself
  14. I agree with others call her whatever you like, Stan was named Flash when I got him and Maddie was Skye. As they are rescue greyhounds they were just names given to them by the rescue group so their current names are probably their third. Stan's not the brightest star in the sky so if he can learn a new name any dog can
  15. As you have just followed my post, I'm guessing that you are misinterpreting what I have said. I am surrounded by bull breed owners who let their dogs roam or can't contain them behind 2 feet fences - 2 pitbulls, 1 amstaff and 2 staffies who are known to be DA. I think they are a lot worse than idiots, I just can't say that on a forum. Just saw another terrible story on the news about attacking dogs - wounds so bad that the paramedics were shocked - all I saw was the dogs being poled, can't find it on news.com. Looked like bull breeds I'm sorry to say. Yes I just saw that on the news too The injuries were so bad the mans heart was almost peirced WTF!!
  16. I'm so sorry for your loss GG Run free gorgeous girl, you were loved.
  17. I'm sorry this has happened to you and Toby and I'm glad she is ok, I shudder to think what would have happened if it was Jolie. It is frightening and I take a stick when I walk mine too as being muzzled they are at risk from offlead dogs and I will do what I have to to protect them.
  18. Great photo whichever you choose. It looks like someone opened a "fun size" packet of whippets and tipped them out
  19. Irish Setter and English Setter FTGH in VIC. Both 8 years old, must stay together, PM me for link.
  20. Sonny & Stella are the same. OMG!!! Is that cheese mum's got?? Then they both start going through the tricks & obedience moves they know to see what they have to do to get it LOL This is Stan's cheese face. When I want him to look at me when I'm taking a photo...just say cheese :)
  21. Cheese, Stan would do a cartwheel for cheese :D
