  1. Stan style :) This is our usual Friday night, anyone else party as hard as us? :D
  2. Leela and PJ I hope you are ok up there today. It's 36 degrees here at the moment and the wind has been howling all day, for people in the Minmi, Gateshead and Redhead areas of Newcastle I hope everyone is safe.
  3. Light misty rain here on the Central Coast. Stay safe tomorrow everyone, I pray it isn't as bad as they are expecting.
  4. That greyhounds are not just a race dog, they are beautiful, loving and gentle souls
  5. Hope everyone is safe today some areas being evacuated in the Lithgow area.
  6. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovWqEtVVUFs
  7. Zuess! That is an amazing cake :) Hope you had a greyt day handsome man
  8. You are all in our thoughts through this horrendous time, stay safe
  9. So glad they are safe Leela and PJ. What fire area are you in?
  10. First fatality here on the Central Coast. A 63 year old man died after suffering a heart attack while trying to protect his home at Lake Munmorah
  11. Thanks bertie we'll be ok we're too close to the ocean to really affect us it's the Northern end of the Coast that's bad. The smoke is unbelievably thick here, the roads are closed all over the place. Thankfully the wind has dropped now it was 70k's an hour earlier.
  12. I have family that live near Doyalson I didn't realise it was affecting that area.... Can I please have the link to the FB page? Brisbane Water Local Area Command. People in the area are posting what is actually happening there, hope your family are safe. https://www.facebook.com/BrisbaneWaterLAC
  13. Here in Terrigal on the Central Coast of NSW the smoke is thick and although the fires are a good 40 mins from me, I just found ash on my lounge! That is scary that the embers are flying around this far down. I'm following our local police page on Facebook and an out of control fire was dangerously close to a service station at Doyalson, it has now hit it
  14. You don't have to delete it, very thoughtful of you to show your concern. Doesn't matter if there are 50 bushfire threads, most people appreciate the support.
  15. Oh Diva I'm sorry for your loss Yes a friend lost her greyhound earlier this year although it wasn't the cancer that got him in the end it was complications after the amputation, he wasn't an old dog either. Bloat worries me too, I just do everything I can to try and prevent it.
  16. Osteosarcoma (bone cancer)is common in Greyhounds, I know a few amputees
  17. Wow!! How would you stop ordering? I'm thinking of getting Greyhounds just to buy the collars   Beleive me DD it was hard to pick just two :) I've had these for a few years now and they are still in perfect condition, excellent quality.
  18. Yes to all of the above, my Maddie is definately a challenge. Stan loves a good fart but they're not smelly, in fact his morning ritual is stretch, loud fart, smile. If he still had his balls I'm sure he'd give them a big scratch, he's such a bloke.
  19. Yes just shook my head at that quote.
  20. I watched it, nothing I haven't seen before in fact I've seen a lot worse growing up in the racing industry. Firstly they need to stop the over breeding of Greyhounds. All these groups jumping up and down on their soapbox and chaining themselves to the boxes at Dapto are just p**sing into the wind. All they are doing is pushing trainers further away where they would rather euth their greys than work with some of these nutjobs. They honestly think that they can stop the racing industry well that aint gunna happen, it's a billion dollar industry. GAP cops a lot of flack from the industry hating groups because they are not save at all costs like some of the ones popping up all over the place, some of them are downright dangerous and doing Greyhound rescue or the dogs themselves no favours at all IMO. Yes there are drugs in the racing industry and it has a long way to go but my God it's come a long way since the 60's. There are decent trainers, I have worked with them in rescue and to lump them all in the same basket as Azzopardi and Bate is a bit rich. Stop the over breeding of Greyhounds, too many are just born to die, I know I have two of them.
  21. Mine are also from O/S. My two have these and so do quite a few hound owners I know, love them. Although not just a collar so maybe not what you're looking for. http://www.jansmartingales.com/greyhoundsize.htm
  22. My two greyhounds have been on the VIP for over 12 months now and are doing very well on it. My local Woolies has stopped selling the 7kg bags though
