  1. Tempeh! You certainly landed on all four paws the day you arrived at Casa LG :D Hope you had a fabulous day.
  2. Council CAN but Gosford council WON'T, they are beyond pathetic The GM of GCC didn't even have the decency to reply to my email personally.
  3. Oh believe me Steph an assault charge was not going to help my cause so I turned and walked. Anyone hurts my dogs and then has the gall to laugh in my face will result in a whole level of crazy I doubt these idiots have ever seen.
  4. Yes she does T but I'm pretty anal on my home nursing :) No they have replaced the piece of string with a piece of wire, no padlock, people still have access to the front yard and the dogs are still out there. The fence is white picket style and is only about 3 foot high :/ I could lean on the gate comfortably with my arms rigid downwards and I'm only 5 foot 2. They have a couple of rocks under the gate where there are gaps. No use telling council about it as when I complained last time they said council can only advise...they can't make them secure the gate.
  5. We are going ok thanks for asking Kirislin. Maddie's physical wounds have almost healed, still quite red and welted and the fur doesn't seem to be growing back at all :/ I went and saw the woman and told her all monies owing must be paid into my account by this Friday or I will take civil action. She said "you have no idea how much this has cost me in fines and having to get the ACD desexed, if you didn't dob me into the ranger you might've got your money" *sigh* As of today no money in my account so I guess it's off to court we go, she owes me $260.60 so it's not just a piddly amount. Her charming son (maybe 16/17) said "we got no money so you get nuffin" and the daughter who was the one that witnessed the attack stood there laughing. I had to walk away as I have a filthy temper and if I snapped all hell would've broken loose. It will be a month this weekend, so I have no idea what the hold up with council is but they said in their last email that I will be advised of the outcome...won't hold my breath.
  6. Me three! Although two greyhounds in a Getz would be a bit of a punish  Your photos are brilliant Canetoad, love the ones of Perlubie Landing it looks amazing Look forward to the next leg, how far are you from Kalgoorlie now? I've never been to WA so have no idea.
  7. Where are you guys at tonight Canetoad? Hope all's well :)
  8. My dogs feet don't smell like anything, they have no smell
  9. Sorry to hear this Sasha Sad to see such a reputable rescue close but thanks for all the hard work you guys have put in for the gentle giants.
  10. I never knew that, I thought Stan was just mighty proud of his effort
  11. I think he had no where to leave it in Brisbane and it'd be a bloody long way to go back and get it if he ended up living on the coast over there lol
  12. Photos are fantastic! Love the old Holden and caravans, the long roads between towns would be pretty tiring I would imagine. Looks like you got a bit of rain in the pic with the on coming truck. Did you stop and have a beer at the Halfway Hotel? I would've :p I worked with a girl in a pub in Tweed Heads that had run a pub in Kalgoorlie, one of the 30 pubs in Kal if I remember rightly (sounds like my kinda town ;) ) and she loved the place, couldn't wait to get back there. Drive safe and keep the photos coming
  13. That's ok Shadrack. How disgusting and from what I've been told is a great dog friendly suburb. Sad and worrying for the residents and visitors to the park
  14. That's great news Taliecat good luck :)
  15. Painted the oven some people are all kinds of "speshal" aren't they? I took my previous landlord/real eastate to the tribunal recently for serious breaches and I was gobsmacked at the amount of people in there thousands of dollars behind in rent. Taliecat if you want to grin and bear it and try to make the best of a crap situation then do it that way and get out when you can. I personally wouldn't have signed that lease even if my furniture was in there under those conditions that I still say were sprung on you. Nor would I have handed over the bond money and would've told the owner I will be leaving asap. Private rentals have their advantages but at least with a real estate everything is on the table BEFORE you move in. Good luck and I'm sorry you are going through this.
  16. Yep agree with everything here. I think his woollen cap and gotten wet too many times and it's strangling his brain
  17. Nice boat! Are you going on a holiday or moving over there permanently? Have a safe trip Canetoad and look forward to lots of photos.
  18. So, when you previously rented from these landlords - were there any problems ? Did you pay a bond to them and did you get the bond back when you moved out ? If you have signed a lease and there was a bond involved - has this been registered with your state Tenancy Tribunal ? I agree with others - speak to the Tenancy Tribunal as soon as you can. There couldn't have been any problems otherwise the landlord wouldn't have rented them a second property. There IS a way out Taliecat, you've been dudded IMO and tomorrow I would be straight on the phone to the tribunal before the landlord has a chance to lodge the bond.
  19. Agree and dodgy is the word. I'd be contacting the Tenancy Tribunal, something's not right here.
  20. So this is a private rental then? I've never signed a lease 'after' I've moved in Sorry but I'd be moving out, no way would I have my dogs outside permanently.
  21. Did they say why? Is the new house newly carpeted or something?
  22. 17/52 More shops close in the main street of Gosford.
  23. My greyhound Maddie did the same when I moved 7 months ago. She only knew my old place ever since I had her and she was quite stressed when we moved here, weeing at the back door even if I went out for 10 minutes. I have floorboards and there had not been dogs living here previously. It took about 4 months for her to settle and now she's fine.
