  1. Tears here how beautiful, thank you.
  2. Go to the Delta website: http://www.deltasocietyaustralia.com.au/Volunteers/Become and read up on it there.....it looks like there's a branch which deals with the central coast of NSW which would be your go. Thank you for the info.
  3. Love the pic of Emmy gorgeous girl. @ Skybee she's really into it isn't she. LOVE all the photos everyone.
  4. Fantastic photos tlc.How do you get into these programmes? I am on the Central Coast NSW one hour north of Sydney. My rescue greyhounds would be perfect for this.
  5. So I can confidently tell everyone(thanks to my friend Skyseblue vet nurse)who took her 3year old child's sunscreen to work and all vets said that Banana Boat Kid's Very High protect sunscreen in the ultra mist is very safe for dogs.
  6. Tears here what a wonderful tribute and thoughtful hubby.
  7. Not my dog at the time but my ex's.We were on his boat and the MSB pulled up along side of us doing random checks on safety equipment as they do and this time it was lifejackets. As my ex busy grabbing them Tiger was standing right up on the side of the boat madly wagging his tail. The lady officer leaned over and said what a lovely dog when all of a sudden he did the loudest fart I've ever heard a dog do!My ex stood up with the lifejackets and said looking at me "sorry about that he gets that from his mother".The MSB took off and they were both laughing so hard.I don't know it it was the fart or me smacking my ex over the head with a lifejacket.
  8. Sorry have nothing to offer RL1 as I am in NSW but can sympathise with you.My old boy was HA and DA and I could count on one hand the times I went away in 16 years.Luckily I had a friend who house sat for me who he loved.I hope you can find somewhere for your boy so you can take that break your due for.
  9. How wonderful.A friend of mine's greyhound has PRA and they are getting another grey to hopefully be his eyes for him when he loses his sight altogether.I must show him these beautiful photos.
  10. I have two large dogs and a huge backyard.I walk them most days so that cuts down a bit on the poo but I still do it every few days.
  11. This year is one of the worst tick seasons I've known for the Central Coast.Nu-Nu sounds like a tough little bugger hope she is home soon.
  12. Prada I got the Vetbasics from my local Petbarn. For me it was way too thick and she cried every time I put it on.Being a greyhound with thin skin and a big amount to cover it didn't suit us.May suit you.
  13. I started a thread about this a while ago.My white greyhound girl is a chronic sunbaker.Vetbasics is a really thick sunscreen that does not come off.You can't even get it off when you bath them it's like glue.As Teebs said Filterbac is good plus it's an antibacterial cream.
  14. Yes they are faytiges. I really stumbed into grey rescue and now I have two of the most divine dogs I have ever owned.kelscats Lulu is gorgeous.
  15. Aidan leave them overnight if you can I've done the three hours and they don't dry as well.
  16. Large Easy going Low shedding Low exersise requirements No odour Affectionate Gets on well with other dogs Oops sorry that's too many got carried away.I love my greyhounds.
  17. How long are they baked for and at what temperature? I'm guessing they are fully dehydrated to be able to last without preservatives? They bake for 30 to 35 mins at 170 deg then you turn off the oven and let them dry in the oven for 3 hours or overnight. It says will keep for 3 months but mine are usually eaten before that. They are fully dehydrated hard as rocks actually.
  18. Ok great my two love their sardines or tuna once a week so will add the mackeral.Cheers thanks.
  19. I was given a great book as a gift called "The Good Food Cookbook for Dogs" by Donna Twichell Roberts.I have cooked heaps of stuff for the dogs out of this book. The biscuits are really easy and store for 3 months in an airtight container.
  20. I've said it before but Zeke is one of the funniest dogs.He always makes me smile.
  21. A queen size sleepmaker.Paid a fortune for it ,glad the greyhounds approve.
