  1. I'm with Allie,I like my peanut butter crunchy as well :)
  2. I can't beleive this thread is still going.Lot's of good points in the for and against. The bottom line is for me I don't really like kids call me shallow(oh that's right I am)but I am just not a kid person, never have been never will be.Just because I am female does not mean I have to breed.Thankfully my mum thought differently.
  3. Really,so because I'm not a big fan of kids,I actually don't like humans is that what you are saying?
  4. There is a male chocolate lab in Gosford Pound at the moment.
  5. I know why babies scream on aeroplanes. Doesn't mean I want to sit next to them. Pretty sure no one here's said that babies don't have a right to travel in a plane. Yes and pretty sure there is no first class on Jetstar from Sydney to Coolangatta.
  6. I was going to tell my story but I won't Enjoy your time with BJ :)
  7. I don't have kids never had a maternal bone in my body and as far as the biological clock goes mines got more klm's on it than an EH holden.I don't hate kids but I do have a low tolerance to screaming tantrum chucking ones.At my age most of my friends have adult children but I do have one close friend with a 4 year old and she is a pleasure to be around. She is a great little kid.I think being a parent is the hardest job in the world, mum doesn't get to bundy off at the end of the day.I was 41 when my mum passed away and I was still her baby.I do call my dogs my kids and all my friends(even the ones with children)will ask me how the kids are.My dogs are not a substitute for children because I never wanted kids. One of my neighbours is 7 months pregnant and she knows I won't be rushing to the hospital to goo goo and she knows I won't be picking him up until he's about 2.She's fine with that :)
  8. RIP Valentino you sweet man He looks so much like my friends boy Doug who has also crossed the bridge.Hugs to you KKDD
  9. This. This is the most important for me as well. I would only want my own dogs exercised together, no strange dogs. And as one can be a resource guarder with food, would need them to be in separate runs so they could be fed separately. Important for me also.Stan scoffs his food and Maddie is so slow.If not watched Stan will push Mads away and eat hers and she lets him.I would not want my two exercised with other dogs because of their thin skin.It wouldn't worry me if they where in the same run or seperate as long as they were side by side.Maddie frets terribly if she is away from Stan. Shame you are too far away Oso my two would definately be there :) *pictures Oso breathing a sigh of relief we are on the East Coast*
  10. I agree.I found it a bit disturbing really.
  11. Oh if I had a dollar for every dog & pup that's pooped in my van or car I'd be a very rich man... Pity I'm broke But you are rich of heart :) I know doesn't pay the bills though
  12. Are you kidding? It started with a kiss is one of my favourite threads :)
  13. Yes I remember Houdini and he was not the only one My father was a bookmaker.I grew up at the racetrack. When I fostered my first greyhound an old school bookie from my fathers era told me some horrendous stories of cutting their ears off.Chipping makes no difference I'm afraid.Just for me personally I won't waste my energy on trying to stop racing in Australia whether it be horses or dogs because it's not going to happen.I would rather put my energies into doing what I can to save the ones I can.
  14. Thanks for the congrats. I may do the photos & transport, but there's a whole lot of carers out there who have really made the difference IMHO. Yes DMA there are a whole lot of carers out there who make a massive difference but your photos and transport are part of the whole picture.Your dedication is inspiring.Do you remember the staffy I picked up from you at Freo that had pooed in your car and you were desperately trying to clean him up with tissues when I arrived. You were looking a little green around the gills ;) We had a full load that day heading to the Central Coast.A greyhound, staffy, whippet puppy and a cattle pup.You are a huge part of rescue. :)
  15. Sending lots of positive vibes for Nova and for you Allerzeit.
