  3. My old ridgieX was on Metacam (meloxicam) from the age of 13.It was a wonderdrug for my boy and gave him back quality of life.We tried the cartrophen or carprofen(sp) injections but did not work for him.He was given his wings at age 16 with cancer but Metacam gave him arthritis releif for those three years.
  4. So I take it you're not a big fan of grooming then SM   correct Weas.
  5. TOY: Prague Ratter SMALL: Pug MED: Whippet LARGE: Greyhound GIANT: Great Dane
  6. Maddie had a dental scale under full anesthetic and five months later they are back to what they were BUT only on one side.Maddie only chews on one side. When my vet did the procedure he said there was no reason for her to eat on one side but she does.Has anyone else experienced this?
  7. So what if the trainer tells you to crate train Lucy? You've already made it clear in previous posts that you will not put your dog in a crate so what happens then?
  8. I have a canvas pouch with a clip that attatches to the lead handle. It's about the size of a mobile phone and I stuff the bags in that.I think I got it at the Reject Shop but it was years ago.
  9. Hope you have a great day and can I request some front on full flight shots...please? I love your photos :)
  10. Get mine from the Reject Shop $2 for 75 bags.
  11. Did it start out between the shoulder blades? Yes it did.Stan was my first foster and when I was filling out the paper work they kept running the scanner over him to no avail. She accidently found it when in her frustration(knowing he was chipped)ran the scanner down his back and beep there it was.Yes it worries me that if he ever got lost they would not find his chip.I don't leave collars on my dogs which I know now is against the law but I had a very bad experience from leaving a collar on when I'm not home. Rebanne I did not know you could have them removed.
  12. I have only skimmed through a few pages in this thread but it is wonderful to see all these gorgeous puppies I got my greyhounds as rescues when they were two years old and I've never seen a baby grey IRL but that baby iggy squeeee :) Unuscornu I love your baby bully and your hair
  13. No I can't feel my two but I know Stan's is down near his tail somewhere. That's where they found it last time he was scanned.
  14. Don't know TW,I see your lounging whippet and raise you a.....greyhound :)
  15. Funny you say that Kadbury. The lady that lives across the road from me has had two cats that both lived to 21...that's 2 cats in 42 years. She's in her 70's now and isn't game to get another cat in case she as you said "falls off her perch" before she gets to her 90's.Her family are not cat people. SM maybe she could adopt a golden oldie from a shelter? There would be plenty of older cats out there looking for homes I'm sure :) My oldest dog was a lab x border who we PTS at 20 years and 11 months. I was so annoyed-really wanted to throw her a big 21st birthday party!!! Good point PD you are right,I should mention that to her.
  16. Chuck RidgebackX Three weeks after his 16th birthday he was given his wings. He was my best friend through thick and thin. He had some serious medical problems from about the age of 13 but we soldiered on.I had(and still have)an amazing supportive vet and a vet nurse that is now one of my closest friends. The day I took the Chuckster into the vet I knew he would not be coming home with me.I looped his collar over my rear vision mirror when I walked out and it is still there today. He travelled many highways with me and still does.He passed away on the 29th of November 2009 and I will miss him forever.
