  1. I was going to suggest Robyn at Doubleview!!! :D That's two votes for Doubleview.Katrina is my dear friend who had the biggest clientele over here before she sold up and moved to Perth. She talks about Robyn all the time and what a great place it is to work.
  2. Don't know if this is too far but Doubleview Vet Centre at Scarborough.Ask for Katrina.
  3. Never give up hope mantis...Kenny will wait
  4. You have done an amazing job Ella with these boys...just warms my heart.Dogmad,Indigirl and yourself are wonderful caring people that have nursed these boys back from the brink. What a wonderful outcome once again from the rescue community.Never ceases to amaze me and makes me proud to be a part of.
  5. I have no words.....just utter disbelief Thank God your mum found her and she could pass in your arms knowing love, warmth and comfort.I'm so sorry K9a RIP Cookie brave little one,you will not be forgotten.Big hugs to you and the boys.
  6. I have the same.Stan is 4 and Maddie is 3.5 both rescues.I didn't plan on keeping Maddie(she was foster number 7)but Stan and I fell in love with her :)
  7. That's actually Feathers mum Kibah, she's the same one eating the banana. And thanks for the comments on her collar, I made it. :D Ooops sorry Mum and daughter are beautiful.
  8. I love Feather hoeing into the watermelon :) OT but where did you get Feather's collar? It's gorgeous.
  9. I have just paid another $260 to have Maddies teeth cleaned again...second time in 9 months.Maddie only eats on one side(nothing wrong with the other side)that's just how she eats.So I too have to pay over $500 a year for a full dental under anesthetic and she is only 3 years old.I have chicken flavoured toothpaste and clean her teeth once a week, she has bones, chicken wings, chews you name it but her teeth are just crap My other greyhound has no teeth issues and has never had to have a dental.
  10. For food bowls Stan has a plastic "scoff stopper" and Maddie has metal.Water bowl is the ceramic bowl from a crockpot.Get them at the op-shop for a couple of bucks and they are the best water bowl I've had.Too heavy to knock over, easy to clean and keeps water cool in summer.
  11. RIP Stripe.I am so sorry for your loss
  12. Beautiful videos and yes the paw on the hand pic made me cry.You truly are a wonderful person and I'm sending lots of positive vibes Cookie's way.
  13. If he had to wear the collar, I'd have recommended he be crated in it. No walking into things then. You can also get bitter tasting sprays that can be used to deter licking. I have a bitter taste liquid that I buy from the vet. Both of my greyhounds are chronic lickers and a little bit of this around the wound.....will not touch it.They look like they have just sucked on a lemon if they try :)
  14. Mumof4girls I did get what you were saying beleive me as a kid I knew what" if I do this then this will happen" it meant I'd have mum weilding the wooden spoon and I wouldn't sit down for a while.Of course I don't think you would let your children torment an animal I was just saying for ME as a child I wouldn't find this a fun thing to do.Erinonthefarm I am in no way an expert on children as I have none.My only experience is that I was one.
  15. Parents should be slapped if they've never taught their kids not to torment animals, yes! I don't see how tormenting animals is "normal child behaviour".It certainly wasn't on my list of fun things to do as a kid.
  16. apparently they were best friends and both surrounded to a pound due to a marriage breakup. The iggy is 11 and the grey is 6. Another great save iggy rescue :) Hope they can stay together if they are besties.
  17. They look like greyhound legs in that pic :) He is a gorgeous boy.
  18. Rest easy beautiful boy. So sorry for your loss
