  1. Fantastic photos I just looked at all the Facebook pics..just stunning.I wish I lived closer I would LOVE to come and watch the whippet races.
  2. Yes Mita that reminds me of a friends dog here that used to wait out the front of the pub between 3 and 3.30pm every day no fail for his owner.Everyone knew Storm he was an icon in this town.He would use all of the pedestrian crossings, always waited for the traffic to stop before he crossed. There were certain restaurants that he would hang at the back door of,he loved the pie shop :) He is no longer with us but his ledgend lives on :)
  3. Great news thanks Trish :)
  4. No would never give my dogs ham bones.
  5. Also a whippet in Mildura Pound.I know you've seen that one dogmad.
  6. too funny. Stan does that manic jumping up and down when I get home Strange name for a greyhound...rockmelon
  7. I'd be interested in hearing a little more about pugs! First you need to decide on colour I have a black one. He's mad as a cut snake and as frustrating as anything but also an awesome little dog. Keeps up with my Stafford, keeps the Maremmas in the line and is absolutely reliable with my daughter. He is a really tough little guy but also at the end of the day (when he's exhausted) so snuggly and sweet. I won't lie, we had a year of HELL but I feel we are coming out the other end in one piece. I love that he is happy to occupy himself outside and is not whiney or needy. They do also need to be loved a lot and spend time with their people. Food is Alvin's life! House training was reaaaally hard but eventually he got the hang of it - he's only slipped up twice with wees since easter. He's a touchy feely dog and has to be on my lap at night or lying on top of Esme the SBT. Thick skinned and quite able to keep up with the rough and tumble of a child playing with him. That photo is priceless LOVE the names Alvin and Esme :)
  8. Fantastic photos.I was laughing at the kangaroo one before I read it was Rolf
  9. Fantastic shots as always Kirislin Is the last dog wearing the red "socks" for a reason?
  10. My two don't bark. They do thunder up the hallway when the key goes in the door, bouncing off each other and the walls then when the door opens a crack the heads poke through and then they launch at me.Two leaping greyhounds all the way up the hallway while I just have my head down clutching the shopping bags doing my best to ignore them...but as I said they don't bark
  11. :) I love it. That's not crazy chatting, I talk to Maddie like that all the time  They look fantastic Ella and so happy
  12. Wonderful to see those zoomies :) Love the commentry " lunaticis"
  13. Poo.Stan doesn't like poo.He will go out of his way to avoid a poo if he sees one on our walk.I picked up Maddie from the vet recently and took Stan along for the drive.Maddie did a poo in the car(she has never done this before) and Stan was trying to climb over the seat and out the window. As the electric window was going up he hooked his teeth over the the window in a last desperate attempt to escape the poo.
  14. Yes a friend sent an email on Saturday for Bulldog puppies in the Newcastle area. There is now a warning up that it is a scam.
  15. Gorgeous photo Brindle I'll go out on a limb and say Elsa is the drama and slobber and Daisy comes up with the grace and dignity Don't care if I am wrong they are both beautiful.
  16. Wonderful news Ella the boys will soon start a wonderful new chapter of their lives. I know between you, dogmad and indigirl only the best will do for the boys. Thank you for sharing their story with us all. I for one will never forget Dusty and Phoenix.
  17. Whenever visitors come & ask 'Where's Annie?', we always have to say, 'Up the back, talking to the greyhounds!' So she's picked up something 'different' about their bark. I think you might need to get Annie her own greyhound friend ;) :)
  18. I watched Betty's story too Mita. It is funny that Annie knew a greyhounds bark.My two do a roo roo noise, maybe that was it.
  19. My back door is ajar 24/7. I couldn't lock them outside in winter they would freeze to death...just ask them *rolly eye man*.They are not guard dogs by any means but I would pay money to see a robber trying to outrun two greyhounds whilst carrying a 42inch flatscreen :)
  20. Yes my flatmate lost my ridgyx many years ago while I was at work.He was frantically running around calling his name,up and down the street, down to the beach all the time thinking to himself...she's going to kill me.After giving up on searching on foot he decided to jump in the car and go for a drive and guess who was perched up in the front seat  The funniest bit was when my flatmate was telling me what happened he said "He was sitting in the car the whole time watching me, why didn't he answer me?"
  21. Good on you Panto and all involved Hope you enjoy your country retirement Bless :)
