  1. Bellyfish Cafe in Terrigal NSW. Not only is the food and service outstanding we have had a LOT of greyhounds laying around the tables and they have been wonderful, bringing out extra umbrellas for shade and making sure the dogs are comfortable. I give them 5 stars.
  2. I don't have much Ungvita Solugel Apex Antibiotic Lotion Betadine Ointment Gauze pads Elastoplast Non stick bandage(don't know what it's called)
  3. Oh Kirislin that's so sad I have no experience or advice but just wanted you to know I'm sending all the positive vibes I can for dear Tag. Hopefully when they find out what is triggering them they can be controlled somehow. Hugs from me and the hounds
  4. Thanks for the update DR. You and Bison are in my thoughts.
  5. They look like slipping tracks to me :)
  6. You win tomas...200kgs  LOL. Probably more like 220kgs. Only for a few hours,at night they have their own room with air con  O.K I added it up,it's 212kgs and at night they have their own room with air con and the oldest stays in bed with me. I love it, that's wonderful :) I will think twice about whinging about my two greyhounds hogging the bed.

  10. Dunno minimiss if Poms are hogs of the largest variety...wanna borrow the greyhounds for a couple of nights :D
  11. Two greyhounds...60 kilos of bed hoggers in a Queen bed. No use getting up in the middle of the night and going to sleep in the spare bed, they'll only follow me and it's only a double
  12. So do most caring, responsible dog owners, regardless of where they live. Most of us contain our dogs. All we are now talking about is the size of the containment. Have you seen the U-tube clip of the greyhound on the couch. It doesn't move.. all day!! And as for what makes a dog "happy"?? I certainly don't agree with the complete social isolation that many urban dogs are subjected to (kept in backyard, not allowed inside, not walked). Frankly I'm surprised more of such dogs aren't stark raving mad. I am sure they do. Would the greyhound still be on the lounge if he had something to stimulate him? Just playing devils advocate here as I know many a greyhound n yep most r lounge lizards given the chance to be, lol. My two greyhounds rarely leave the lounge. Opening the fridge door is about the only thing that stimulates them so seeing no one is home to do that they just stay on the lounge :)
  13. It is dog friendly. I have lots of friends who stay there when the Canberra Royal is on. They've even had the hotel owner kick the people out of the pool so that the dogs can have a swim! that's great! Thank you for the replies and Kiwigirl thanks for the link, lot's of nice places :)
  14. So so sorry for your loss RIP little man, you were loved.
  15. Thanks for the reply Gemelo but it says nothing about being dog friendly.
  16. Friends of mine are looking for a dog friendly place to stay around Canberra for a few nights. They have their beloved Molly ( chiX ) travelling with them so it is essential to stay somewhere where Molly is allowed inside. Can anyone recommend somewhere? TIA :)
  17. Yep and I agree. I don't think I've ever seen Kirislin or BC Crazy make a nasty comment so I don't think they are cracking the Moet to celebrate a business failing.
  18. Stan's race name was Winsome Wal. Obviously he was Win-None Wal and that's how he ended up on my lounge
  19. My two make me smile everyday :) I just went downstairs to get some dog meat out of the freezer in the laundry and I have about half a dozen stuffed toys sitting on a chair next to the washing machine to wash. Stan's face appeared around the corner and he carefully grabbed a large stuffed kangaroo and tiptoed up the stairs looking at me through the window. When I called out OI what have you got he took off like a rat up a drainpipe
  20. The last pic looks like he's saying....oh THERE you are!! Great photos as always Kirislin. He looks like he's following the lure until he spots Mum.
  21. I've never seen Umina busy, for the size of the beach, I'll come across maybe 4-5 dogs the entire 2+ hour I am there, and thats on a busy day. Half of them are generally on leash too. Before I was working full time I would go in the afternoon on a weekday, so 3pm till sunset. And on the weekend, I'll go 2pm onwards. Same thing. Maybe i've just been lucky? There was a dog attacked just last week at Umina Yes Umina beach is huge but so is Nth Av, Copa, Macs and Forries...you can see all the way to Spoon Bay. I have lived here for a long time and was just suggesting beaches I feel the OP may like to visit where there is not a lot of dogs around.
