  1. WAR for all the animals you saved and all the hard work you have all put in. Best wishes Emma it was a pleasure to meet you :)
  2. $260 for scale and clean for my 25kg greyhound.
  3. Simple is as simple does. I have followed this thread thinking you were doing the right thing BUT you have just sunk your rescue group before it even started Good luck Greylvr I would NEVER recommend a rescue group that has anything to do with PR. No problem its not like you would have given us a chance anyway. The whole PR thing is understandable and I will be off to read the whole thread. Ah yes I would...read post #4
  4. My two have the annual heartworm injection and I worm every three months.

  6. Friends Of The Hound are based in Northern NSW and SE QLD. I would definately tell the lady to have a look at their website www.friendsofthehound.org. I have worked with Katrina and found her extremely helpful.
  7. there's always strings attatched with PR. You need to read the whole thread...every page.

    So sorry for your loss
  9. If Stan even trod in a poo he'd have a heart attack....he has a poo phobia.
  10. I am using the Wild Game one as well as the Chicken and Duck is tiny little biscuits for some reason.
  11. Now that's got class Stan's Mum  I know It was a promo we came up with for the original Greyhound rescue group I was with (which no longer exists) and the heading was...You can't buy years of unconditional love at the Boxing Day Sales...put a Greyhound in your trolley this Xmas lol.
  12. Not a noobish question at all Andrew, just the carcass with the meat stripped off. You can get them for a couple of bucks a kilo :) Just the frames.
  13. But debating means chatting about the facts and not making it personal. How is it that someone who doesn't know me or my dog or my circumstances can determine better than me with my vet what is best for my dog. Any idea how many Maremma end up in pounds because they are bred to work by barking? of course that's that how it goes, we just chat about facts and it never turns personal. Zeebie if you started another thread someone would've pulled up the old one with a link and pointed out it's been done before or you could comment on an old thread and bump it...either way you can't win.
  14. My two greyhounds have been on it for a couple of months now and they love it. I have tried a few of the premium foods and Stan always got the runs. The only dry he could eat was Supercoat but still not great poos. Since being on the VIP he is doing perfect poos for the first time in the two years I've had him so I'm sticking with it for now. Kibble is only a small part of their diet though.
  15. Kirislin love the Stones pics and the story :)
  16. Oh Kirty I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how much you loved Stevie, thank you for sharing her journey and take care RIP Stevie...you were loved
  17. My greyhounds get VIP Grain Free kibble, Stan gets roo mince and Maddie gets chicken mince with spinach, preservative free from a local supplier. They also get chicken wings, lamp flaps, sardines, tuna, cottage cheese and scrambled egg.
  18. Hope she is better this morning. I live in a very high tick area here on the Central Coast, one street from the beach in the middle of suburbia but my vet cannot beleive the amount of tick cases he has had this year
  19. No doubt about you, Persephone. You sure know how to party Now I feel hungry Don't forget the peanut butter sandwich. LOL. I've never been one for getting presents for the dogs - they don't play with toys and despite my trying so often over the years to get them to play with toys and balls, the toy box stays unloved on the deck. However, I have just put in an order for new collars for them all: break-away collars with their names and phone number embroidered. I don't like leaving collars on them because of the possibility of getting them caught on something and I have found over the years that with very little dogs, they can get their claws caught in the rings. However, it has concerned me that they are unidentified if they get out, because even when you have what you think is Fort Knox in terms of dog security, accidents do happen. They are microchipped of course, but a collar with identification is often the quickest way home. A PB sanwich as well!!! No way...tough love in this house ;)
  20. Hopefully doing this years pics next week but in the mean time I found Stan's Chrissy pic from 2010 :)
