  1. ANother solo here... but we do have 3 cats!
  2. When our Cav was a pup and was going through his humping stage, he had his favourite toy that he liked to do it with, but before he could he had to take it for a walk round outside then come in and do his business... We called it taking his toy on a date before taking her home :D Now when we let him out of the laundry... if we don't bring all his toys out he'll go to the gate and wait for us, pick up one bring it out and play for 30 seconds rinse and repeat until all of them are out.
  3. Thinking we will go see Rowan next week hopefully! In the meantime he's at the vet today getting x-rays and such.
  4. Hey Peoples, Can someone reccomend a good Dog Chiro in brisbane, our Cav is having problems with one of his hind legs, our breeder reccommended going to see a dog Chiro, but her one is too far away for us to get to as they are only open mon-thurs 9-5 hours towards ipswich, So can any brisbanites recc a Chiro prefereably southside! Thanks!
  5. +1 The Rosella's have moved into our Macadamia tree in the backyard.. Chilli goes mental when they are around in the morning and afternoon..
  6. The pecking order which obviously means the cat's the boss and so forth :D That's encouraging to hear about all your happy pets. When we adopted our cat (who is wonderful!!) we hadn't met her in person, we just talked and talked with her breeder about her personality and all that, she was an ex-bredder and show cat. Do you think we'd be able to do that with a dog breeder too, not have to first meet the dog? It would be preferable ofcourse, but there don't seem to be any adults around us needing a home. We have a fairly unique situation as well, in that we have three cats and a Cav, 2 older cats and one the same age as the Cav, they are great friends the young one and the Cav, chasing each other round, fighting, sleeping and eating together, One of the older cats tells him who's boss and the other is a skittish cat so she run's from him, so of course he has to chase. They all get along in there own way.
  7. bugger i just brought one of them hopefully it lasts a bit longer than that!
  8. In regards to the 2nd question, When puppies are sold by breeders they are generally way too young to be desexed, when they are sold as Pets (Limit Register) you are signing an agreement to have them desexed yourself.. Others may be able to provide more info
  9. +1 on the Cav, so great with our nieces and nephews tugging on ears etc.. just loves to be around kids. Yep he's an attention whore :D
  10. There seems to be a lot of Terriers and Staffy's that go missing round our area.
  11. Have you tried running the program in XP mode in windows 7?
  12. Oranges in your bed that's just soo fnny.
  13. Just to reply to this, I don't think it is only yobbos that are the problem. The dog that is in its yard all day isn't going to attack my dogs. I am far more nervous of well meaning owners who think all dogs are the same and that their dog will automatically want to play with other dogs. The staffy-types at my local park that get into trouble are these ones. The ones that have cluey owners that actually interact with their dog away from the packs seem to stay out of trouble. At my local park.. there have been issues with Staffy's, standard poodles, mini poodles, shepherds, pointers, other small dogs, border collies, cross bred mutts.. just about every breed you can imagine down there.. The dog that stays in the yard all day.. may not attack your dog while it stays IN its yard.... It's when it gets out whether by design of the owner or itself.. A poorly socialised dog in the hands of a poor uneducated owner is the problem no matter the breed. There are some very rough staffy owners around my area....Some of the dogs themselves are nice depsite having crappy owners..It is a credit to whoever bred a few of these dogs for breeding decent temperaments... As an AMO.. I have seen in some areas.. certain breeds attract certain "stereotypes" and people... Do you happen to live in the Slacks Creek\Woodridge area... there are a few like that round here.
