Well I compared two makers of baths when I placed my order for my new hydrobath I compared the manufacturers of the one you are looking at and a new one from Perfect Paws. I am getting the perfect paws one & cant wait for it to arrive next week .. I looked at it at the Expo in Melbourne a few weeks ago & I love it plus the service from the guys I was talking to at the stand was fantastic! And teh follow up service from Perfect paws has been fantastic as well. I am getting it in a beautiful finish it is maroon with gold flecks, the finish is aesthetically pleasing which I like. and the fittings are actually metal, I actually found a few things that were optional on the HA baths came as standard on the perfect paws ones, so there was not a big add on of extras to the cost... PLUS the dryers on the perfect paws baths are now built in under the bath so they are not just whacked on the side sticking out there in the road. I will see if I can find a picture of it if you like

would go for cleansing teh system from the inside out holistic vet - must try also coconut oil & low carbs to starve any foreign organisms in the gut that may be adding to the issue.

I use aqua ear from the chemist, its what my vet recommended..

steroids are NOT allowed to be used in chickens in Australia Last I looked Lymphona was not related to chicken... has your friend got scientific reports to back it up?? Would be interested to see it.

If $$ are tight look into the possibility of a raw diet as well. In all honesty though you should feed what YOUR DOG does BEST on. I get the same results from a mix of OPTIMUM & RAW as what I do on the premium brands. Just do a bit of trial & error to see what works. Some websites will also offer trial bags.

Hi & welcome we normally shave the face whiskers trim the hair along the loin area trim under the tail area shave the underbelly to tidy up lose areas you can still chalk, just make sure you crush all lose/excess chalk out before going in the ring a quick buff over before going in the ring helps as well otehr things you should know - to show you will need to be a member of your state CC the puppy will need to be on Main Register You need to make sure you buy from a good reputable breeder who would be able to help you along the way & guide you as well in chosing the best puppy to suit you & what you want to do. If you have never owned a Boxer before also get your breeder to help you out with training, diet etc Have fun.

Do you go & poke & prod your sleeping kids? Or pull their limbs when fast asleep? Of course you wouldnt... dont do it to baby puppies or dogs of any age for that matter. Puppies & children ca be managed to live together wonderfully, use forethought. Playpen for child, puppy pen for puppy, fully supervised play time utilising the word gentle for both with soft but authorative undertones. Nipping can be stopped before it is started if you do not put your dog in a position where it will have to self defend. Its not rocket science & its not hard, its just practical common sense.

Kirbydog, I am a mum of 3 under 7 & a breeder of dogs, the inside dogs have specific crates for night sleeping, but two of our guys sleep on our beds. So they have no crates for sleep time, but our kids were taught NO very early.. No dont go there the dogs are eating, no dont touch he is resting.... no dont pull ears stc etc. Little kids learn early what No means and if told it ofte eoug & the rewarded with lovingly beig able to pat the dog when it is awake & not eatig & being reassured whilst doing this activity they do learn fast. Its hard & it can be stressful BUT consistency works well. (with both skin & fur kids) Good luck Jacqui

Checking a heart beat will only ever pick up a defined murmur, the only true way to test for CM is to holter / doppler the dog. This site: http://americanboxerclub.org/boxer_cardiomyopathy.html discusses the issues of CM in boxers It also discusses the fact that other illnesses can also give off false readings of CM. Such as infections, cancer etc. Have a read & speak to your vet about it as well.

Daniella from Apex Boxers (NZ) is moving to NSW this year she has just bought at great expense to herself a holter monitor & has been shown how to use it, she then forwards the tests to the CM specialists for results (probably a bit late for you now, but if you want to keep monitoring her levels it is handy to know) I would email her if you are interested, also if you know the breeder of your girl you should also contact them & let them know that she has been diagnosed . Chief was a grade 1 or 2 with CM & we treated it with meds & regulated his diet & exercise & he lived until 9 & died of unrelated issues, yet others I know have had their Boxers die unexpectedly from it (ie by not knowing they had it & go for a large walk & the animal has died after the exercise). At least by knowing she has it you can plan her quality of life around it, may you have many happy months ahead with her. Edited: wrong emoticon

Thanks Miranda, I was thinking there was another brand again..... I am soooo over trying different dog kibbles! Think I will stick with what I have now, though I ran into a guy the other day who was walking his Boxer around the lagoons at lunchtime... This dog looked fantastic, he was well toned, nice & solid, beautiful coat I asked teh guy what he feeds... His reply, Just pal tins & dry food from the supermarket & a few eggs & sardines ... I think i said your joking... and he assured me no that was it.... Man I wish it did that for my guys!!!!!
-
Belgavin, I wont feed it because they support the RSPCA. Miranda, I wouldnt say advance is one of the cheaper brands... it is the same price as Eukanuba at $96.00 for a 15kg bag online.... or is there another brand of Advance that you are talking about? Jacqui

"best" Brand Of Dog Food For Your Pet?
bommy replied to happystarz's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
each dog we have has different results on the different brands though I have found that all seem to do well on Advance & Eukanuba... I refuse to feed science diet (but thats for political reasons ...) and I havent tried Innova so I cant comment on that brand... -
Warls, Xcel & Little Luci :D Honey as I said before you two were meant to find each other, may she look over you always.
