I feed the big dog barf patties to all my dogs my chihuahua 1 pattie last him for 4 days what I do is take a pattie out of the freezer let it parlty defrost then cut it into 4 pieces,keep 2 feeds in the fridge and put the other 2 back in the freezer. My other 3 dogs get 1 full pattie each at night.

Like someone on this thread mentioned cause its a little fluffy dog is alright for it to act this way, But if it was say a rottweiler.pitbull etc people wouldn't allow that type of behaviour. I don't care if it didn't leave the yard, my dogs will not leave the yard either but we don't leave our gates open to give them the option. Even when I take my guys to the oval And I see anoher dog or human 30 meters away I still put my guys back onlead its called respect. NO dog can be 100% reliable,they all have the triggers. All I am saying if it's not allowed by a powerful breed why should the little fluffy dogs get away with it.

I agree the law is that people should have acccess to your front door at all times, Also I thought the law is that dogs must be contained in a fence yard, If outside that fenced yard they must be leashed. What would of that owner of that offleash dog in its yard have done if it ran up to her dogs and it get badly injured, I bet that owner would blame the owner that had her dogs on lead. Fuzzy did the right thing she had her dogs under controll the other owner did not have any controll at all.

I agree with you there sheridan, Missy was on raw for 2 and half weeks before putting her on earthborn holistic grain free, When she was feed raw she seemed happier,her scratching basicly stop, her horrible farts where no longer there,her poos were smaller and they didn't smell. SO i believe Missy my whippet will do better on raw then on kibble.With Rascal my white/brown chihuahua his coat colour seems brighter,his poos are smaller and not smelly altho he still eats his poos. Shelley my golden retriever seems better on kibble even if feed 1.5% of raw to what she should weigh she still managed to gain weight, Where with kibble she seems to maintain her weight better.

have a look at big dog barf or country barf patties they should have everything in there for your dog its a complete natural raw food. I'm starting my whippet and my chihuahua on the big dog barf patties, Yes thats right people the horrible gas returned after a week being feed earthborn holistic grain free kibble. So I just bit the bullet and said nope raw diet it is for Missy and said hell I put Rascal on raw too. It will cost to much to have the 2 goldens on raw so they will get raw minced meat in the morning,kibble at night.

If you want to save some time at feeding you can always stuff a chicken frame with selected meats/organs or homemade barf - mine love it. The stuffed chicken frames sound like a great idea for Missy and my goldens probably one would be plenty for the whole day. What supplements do you use if any? What omega 3 and 5 oils would you use? for my chihuahua i would have to give a chicken neck or half a chicken wing or turkey wing plus some minced meat and offal on the side. I put them back on kibble for now tillI learn more on raw feeding.

I was looking into big dog barf to feed Missy and Rascal cost to much to feed all 4 dogs. But here I can only get 12x250 gram patties for $24, The roo is $27. If I worked it out right 24x250gram patties would last Missy 3 weeks 3 days,12x250gram would last Rascal 3 months.Now if I wanted to feed all 4 dogs I would need to buy 5 boxes which would cost $120.

Have the same problem with my 11 month old whippet Missy one day she comes runing wanting pats and cuddles the next day she won't come near you runs the other way. We don't know why she is doing this either nothing has changed altho my girl is fairly sensitive, If I catch her in the act doing something she isn't meant to be doing She runs before we even say No. Missy sleeps on my bed in her own bed, but during the night she keeps getting up which annoys my boyfriend and I and we have to keep telling her to get into her bed. Sometimes we have to put her back on her bed and tell her stay, I keep saying why can' see be more like Rascal he stays on his bed all night only gets up if he needs toilet. Missy on the other hand can't keep still.

get it all the time here walking a golden retriever a whippet and a chihuahua. Specially are n't you worried the golden would hurt the chihuahua, or doesn't the whippet consider the chihuahua prey. I always get what a range of dogs you have large,medium and small. What really gets me is theoh theres a greyhound lol, Missy has also been called a tentifield terrier. I also get the that dog is too skinny comment with Missy.

I asked earthborn holistic if they used ethoxyquin I think its also in one of there videos on you tube too. They don't use ethoxyquin in there products,

Well Missy is getting feed raw mince meat in the norning like she use to have. So far Missy seems to be loving the earthborn primitive. NO horrible gas has started yet. So I think I may have found a kibble MIssy likes but time will tell if she gets bored and sick of it. Even our cats are trying hard to eat missys earthborn primitive lol.

why is it people think black hawk is the best dog food out there. Then they judge people if there pets don't do well on it. # of my dogs do alright on black hawk eg they scratch throughout the day. Shelley my golden retriever smells more when feed black hawk. Yes I still feed black hawk to 2 of my goldens and my chihuahua, Missy my whippet has horrible gas on black hawk since feeding her earthborn holistic grain free primitive she hasn't had such horrible gas. So black hawk doesn't suit every dog out. If English.ivy wants to try another kibble to see if that would help then why not. To say cause the dog is outside in the cold is why it won't gain weight is bull, can someone please tell my golden retriever Shelley she should be lossing weight and be really thin,She and my other golden are both outdoor dogs altho there in a varander with a wood heater to lay in front of. Still outside in the cold yet Shelley doesn't find it hard to maintain her weight and she is only getting feed 1 cup a day.

At 6.39pm you said you were giving her earthborn Holistic & sticking to it , now you are saying if she doesn't keep liking it you will give her royal canine. Just out of interest, how many different brands of kibble do you now have at your place that poor little dogs stomach must be very confused. Black hawk and earthborn holistic thats all, god you say try find a kibble she likes and stick to it, Missy has only been on earthborn holistic for 2 days so its to early to say if it agrees with her yet or not.You all also say it can take up to 6 weeks to see if a food agrees with a dog. Which is why I'm sticking to earthborn holistic for now, If it doesn't agree with her then I'll try another kibble.

I listen to what he said but I don't believe him. She ate kibble before just wasn't to keen on black hawk plus had horrible gas on that food. I know Missy will eat when she is hungry if she doesn't eat what I give her I let her go hungry. I got the Prime meat roll just to mix up there food a bit, I don't think I'll get it anymore just thought I would try it with them. been told earthborn holistic is very close to TOTW. Missy didn't really like the coastal catch but seems to be eatting the primitive natural alright.

I have taken the advice given and have choosen a kibble and am sticking with it, Missy seems to be eating it. I got earthborn holistic grain free primitive natural which somepeople believe isn't a good kibble. Petstock said to get her to eat kibble again to stop all raw food even in the morning, they said in the morning instand of raw food give a cooked meat roll. So I'm giving Missy prime meat roll in the morning and earthborn at night. The person at petstock said if I let the dog choose what it wants to eat,the dog would maccas everytime over quality kibble. He also said I may never be able to feed raw meat to her as she will stop eatting kibble and want raw.

I was thinking of doing this one day chicken mince in the morning then at night chicken mince,chicken giblets,little bit of chicken heart, Then the next day chciken and roo mince in the morning at night chicken and roo mince with roo chunks. Now could I still add some flaxseed oil and the vets all natural health booster to there night meals? the next day they will get a bone in the morning at night some mince with chunky meat. Is this still to complicated?

I was thinking of it a 5kg bag wouldn't last 2 golden retrievers,a whippet and a chihuahua long. plus 1 cup of the vets all natural mixed to a cup of raw meat seemed like alot of vets all natural mix to me, eg feeding more of the mix then meat.

I thought it looked good too, but some people don't think its balanced all my guys are doing good on raw there poos are smaller they no longer smell,they actually look forward to there meal. By the next day there poos are white. They do get vets all natural health booster supplement with each meal. I just had 2 problems cutting the cost and feeding to much. My problem is putting 2 0r 3 different proteins in the one meal. Also someone said I am giving to much yoghurt and cottage cheese I only add 2 tablespoons of each in my batch. Oh someone also said to much flaxseed oil is bad for them and I should be switching between that and another oil, what other omega 3 and 6 oil can I use? I can get emu oil from the health food store. I also know they don't really need veggies but I add them just to keep the dogs feeling full.

How can I tell if she is allergic to grains? She can eat cooked brown rice without problems and oats she is fine with. From what I've read maize is the same as corn and corn is something I don't really want in dog food. From what I've read and seen online it said potatoes are better cause there a whole food and there cooked, Don't know if its true or not its just what I have seen online. They say the first 6 ingredients is what is most in the food. They also said by products are no good. The kibbles I can get locally are pro plan,eukanuba,Iams,holistic select,eagle pack,science diet,royal canin,advance,earthborn holistic. Out of all them which brands do you reckon I should try?

sorry I didn't know chicken meal etc was bad. If meal is so bad then why is black hawk considered a premium food its first ingredient is lamb meal then ground brown rice. People say grains are bad for pets yet why do we still feed kibble that has grains? from what I read earthborn holistic is very close to taste of the wild grain free formulas. Sorry for trying to find a kibble that is low in grains, I haven't ruled out royal canin I just want to know what benfits would this food do with Missy compared to other brands, Right now I'll prefer to buy local till I find a kibble Missy will eat.
