Rascal sleeps in the bed with us, Shelley sleeps on the floor on her bed.

I'm looking around for a place of my own, I know my auntie won't change. Like I said if I go to train Lady my auntie kicks up a fuss. She already thinks I hit Shelley and thats the reason why she listens to me, Which is Not true I have not laid a hand on Shelley well expect to pat and cuddle her. When it comes to feeding the dogs I always feed the dog who was here first so I feed Buddy first, then Shelley,then Rascal and Then Lady. My auntie also fusses about that and said lady should be feed first. Lady has major domminance isscues, due to my auntie. Right now my auntie is out of town and has taken Lady with her. Rascal has been sleeping in my room. Rascal is inside right now in front of the heater. Also our chooks can now have free range of the whole yard again, They couldn't before cause Lady would kill them. I feel sorry for Lady, She could be a great dog if she had the right owner. I have enough on my plate and do not need another animal on my head.

Like I said why is it up to me to look after someone elses dog?

you are correct there. I would bath it but this dog doesn't like to be bathed and she will snap at you if you do something she doesn't like. This is the main reason why my auntie won't tell the dog no etc, Cause if she does the dog turns growls and snaps at her. I do pick up after my dogs each and everyday. Can't be with them 24/7 following them with the pooper scooper. I can't Train this dog myself as she won't listen to me. I know the dog could be real great with the right owner, My auntie isn't the right owner for this dog. Actually she shouldn't own a dog. You should see what Lady does to my auntie when she wants to be feed and my auntie doesn't feed her right then and there, She grabs my auntie by the arm gently,paws at her leaving scratch marks on her skin,growls and then jumps on her. I know this isn't the dogs fault its my aunties. I do have a question tho why is it up to me to take on this dog eg train it,bath it etc? specially since its not my dog and non of us wanted it here. Yes I love dogs and do not like seeing them treated this way, But the way I see it if I take the responabilty for it it will just teach my auntie to pam it off to someone else.The way I see it if you want the animal you take responabilty for it, If you can't do that then you shouldn't own one.

My auntie will not get behaviourist to come see her dog. Why would she she won't even train it or walk it. She won't even take it to obedience class at all.

Well if you knew my auntie if you enter her room when she is sleeping and wake her up she cracks it then starts slamming doors. She has already started a fight with my mum over this. She says the dog can't come inside dog can't stay outside, Then says you have cats inside, My mum then says yeah but the cats don't stink,meow at everything they see. This dog always goes to the front window to see if there is anything to bark at. When my auntie takes it outside to go to the toilet it barks, The dog is good when my auntie isn't around, doesn't bark,whinge. When she wasn't living with us the dog was a nightmare, If we stayed at her house we got woken up every 30 minutes to the dog runing outside barking. She wasn't even meant to have the dog where she lived. The landlord lived next door and absolutely hated the dog, cause it would wake him up early morning with its barking. Theres no training my auntie or telling her what to do,as she thinks she is a know it all. She believes dogs don't need training. There allowed to bark and do what they want when they want to do it. This isn't her first jack russell this is her second one, The first one was the same as this one. The first jack russell ended up runing away. If I did wake up my auntie she would have started a full on fight with the whole family. Since she has moved here she has been nothing but trouble, Shelley and Buddy can no longer have toys as lady my aunties dog destroys them. Shelley can't even walk past Lady without her snapping at her. Lady barks in Shelleys and Buddys ears and taught Rascal to do the same, He doesn't do it when my auntie or lady are around. Rascal also barked alot with her around, doesn't bark much when she isn't here. People accross the road couldn't even work in there front garden without lady barking at them. My auntie wasn't even meant to bring her dog here when she moved in, We already have 3 dogs. Cause of Lady the jack russell cross fox terrier, Shelley now hates both those breeds and shows her bristles and gets defensive.

Well this dog does need a bath weekly as it rolls in poo,chook poo,dirt,mudand even pee. This dog stinks, But in saying that I know its not the dogs fault its my aunties fault. When my auntie does bath it she doesn't do a good job within a minute she has finished bathing her dog. It takes me about 15 minutes to bath Rascal as I make sure I do a good job, Then a further 5 minutes brushing him. I might have been wrong in throwing water at her, but she has been whinging and scratching at my bedroom window for 12 days. I think I am entitled to a good nights sleep, My auntie don't care,she doesn't go out there and tell her to go to bed or stop her from whinging and scratching at my window. We have had visters here and they said all they can smell when they come inside is dog, This is after my mum has cleaned the whole house all day. This dog rubs herself all over the carpet, Even drags her vagina over the carpet. Barks at everything that moves, She even barks at the tv. This jack russell cross fox terrier even snaps and kunges at Shelley my female golden retriever, She won't stop humping Buddy my mums male golden retriever.

Hi everyone well here is an update about my auntie and her untrained jack russell cross fox terrier. My parents ended up getting angry with my auntie cause she wouldn't keep her dog clean eg bath it once a week and throughly brush her. So my parents said enough is enough since you won't keep your dog clean the dog has to sleep outside. Since the dog has been outside it has been scratching and whinging at my bedroom window. My stupid auntie wouldn't do a thing about it. Last night I had enough so I went out threw water at it, as it won't listen when told to get to bed. Then my auntie comes out complaining god I made Lady her dog pee everywhere, My mum then said no she threw water at it cause it wouldn't stop whinging. My auntie cracked it left the house took Lady her dog with her. She has gone out of town for a week and has taken her dog with her. My parents are hoping that she moves back there. I do have some questions Rascal is now searching and looking for my auntie and her dog lady, How long will it take for him to get use to them not being here?

My chihuahua Rascal had problems with his anal glands no matter what I feed him His anal glands needed expressing. Then he had a abscess in his right anal gland which they fixed. But Rascal still kept scooting his bottom on the ground. When he went back in for a check up both his anal glands where a mess and no longer working. So Rascal got his anal glands removed and now he is no longer scooting and seems comfortable.

I too don't see how this is going to work. I see problems already. It may stop the barking but in a way a dog is smart and will find way eg it will stop barking to get the treats then once all the treats are gone it will go back to barking. So in a way the collar will always have to have food in it to work. Like some dogs will not do a command unless there is food involved. I do not train using food at all, I would if i had a strong headed dog that needed encourgement. I also see this collar reforcing bad behaviours, Like the dog is quiet but is digging a hole then a treat comes out bam its just been rewarded for digging, same goes with clothes pulled of the line,chewing up stuff.

you mean to say I'm using a product that doesn't work. I've been using heartgard plus. Look like I will have to search for a new heartworm product, Anyone have some good surguestions?

The nuisance is my auntie. Everything was good till my auntie moved in. My boyfriend and I pay $200 fortnight to my parents for board. My auntie is meant to pay the same but doesn't she owes my parents 9 weeks rent. Also my parents are feed up with her as she wants her dog inside but will not keep the dog clean. Her dog Lady the jack russell cross fox terrier absolutely stinks and rolls in everything smelly it can find. My auntie won't bath it,doesn't exercise it. Cause of that my parents are struggling to pay the bills,food eyc.

Yes I love my dogs very much and I do try and do whats best for them. Before I pay for anything when I get paid I make sure my dogs have what they need first. My parents know I'm not going to listen to them but it doesn't stop them from complaining. My dogs are getting plenty of exercise ,They get walked everyday for at least 40 minutes of offlead runing,chasing birds and jumping. On nice weather which could be twice a week sometimes 3 times a week they go for a 2 hour walk down by the river/bush. Shelley gets 1 1/4 cup a day and is lossing about 1kg every 2 weeks. Rascal gets a small handfull which is about 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup a day and seems to go from say 4.6 to 4.5kgs in 2 weeks, So I think its a gram I'm hopeless when it comes to maths. Buddy the male golden gets 1 1/2 cups of food a day but doesn't get much exercise as his body won't allow much but he weighs 38kgs.

My parents keep on eye on what I buy they know how much I get paid fortnightly. I would move out but my boyfriend doesn't want too. We did move out once before and I enjoyed it but my boyfriend did not and wanted to move back in with my parents. I've just told my mum out right what would rather Shelley,rascal and buddy act hungry and be healthy and happy or do you want me to keep them fat and spend a fortune on vet bills? She said she would rather see them hungry then me spend alot on vet bills. The way my mum thinks is if I didn't own these animals I could go on holidays,spend more money on myself. I just turn and say yeah but that doesn't give you compainionship like a dog does. I admit I could probably feed cheaper dog food as my guys do well on Bonnie adult too, But I have noticed a change feeding black hawk. My dogs have alot more energy,there coats feel softer and look better. There not pooing as much as they use too. I've told them plenty of times that no matter how much you feed my dogs they will always act like there straving.

Hi everyone I'm getting feed up with my family. There complaining about how much I spend on dog food,complain about how much I spend of them medicaly. As you all know Shelley and Rascal are on a diet, There now complaining I'm straving them. Shelley,Rascal and Buddy are acting like there straving serching and wanting more food. If we go out with food for the chooks Shelley trys to snatch it out of our hands or what ever we have the food in. I'm getting peed off with them there my dogs and there trying to tell me what to do with them. I'm about ready to give up on geting them to lose weight and over feed them again and let them get that fat that they will cost me a fortune in vet bills. The way my parents think is a fat dog is a healthy content and happy dog.

Thanks Sherel, I'm not used to buying products that are delievered by couriers. I hopefully have enough till tuesday or wednesday, if not I'm sure the doggies won't mind eatting bonnie adult.

How long does it normally take for a bag to get delievered? I ordered a bag a week ago and paid for it on friday morning. I'm slowly runing out of black hawk for my dogs I'm feeding 2 golden retrievers and a chihuahua. When I run out I'll have to go back to using bonnie adult till the new bag comes.

Shelley does enjoy her baths,Often or not she keeps begging for another one. Shelley has lost another kg so she is 34kgs now but she does look thinner then that. Rascal the chihuahua on the other end has gained a bit of weight he was 4.5 now 4.6kgs so someone must be sneaking him food. I have my suspect my auntie she reckons I'm straving my dogs. Her way of thinking is the more exercise they do the more food they need to eat. I asked how much should they be feed then she said Shelley and Buddy should be getting 5 cups of food a day and Rascal should get just over a cup of food a day.

Yoda was ugly but all the others were alright. I don't get why people would want to do that with there pet. They now need the cutest pet comp Lol.

My chihuahua Rascal can and does walk for 2 hours and he is on the chubby side which I am working on. Rascal loves to go on walks actually his a chihuahua that hates to be picked up, he loves to lay on your lap but thats all. He hates to be carried around. Rascal chases Shelley around when we are on our walks.

All I can say is don burke is a moron, He should stick with gardening. Saying lab cross poodles and all the other cross breeds are better then purebreds.

I just ordered my second bag tonight. We have plenty of pumpkin here does it matter what kind of pumpkin? We have been growing butternut and butternut crosses so we have alot of them. I plan on cooking up some pumpkin tommorrow for the dogs.
