I am so far behind! Here are Ziva's shots from the last few weeks On the Newcastle harbour rock wall 08/52 52WFD Ziva by ChiisaiHakurou, on Flickr At Peats Bite restaurant - dog friendly! 09/52 52WFD Ziva by ChiisaiHakurou, on Flickr Enjoying the mud after Sydney's rainy weather 10/52 52WFD Ziva by ChiisaiHakurou, on Flickr And to try and get ahead - Happy St Patrick's Day! 11/52 52WFD Ziva by ChiisaiHakurou, on Flickr

I parked on the street. It was not too bad where gazebos are set up - it's worst in the walkways.
-
Grounds are very muddy but not underwater. I normally have no troubles pushing my trolley with a small dog, grooming box, walls and gazebo on top. The mud made it very difficult to push trolleys - the Club's president was very nice to help push me to an empty spot :) Make sure your shoes have straps - I saw a lady get her shoe suctioned into the mud as she was running along

Newcastle + Blacktown This Weeked
stonecutter replied to Elise+Hudson's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sorry I didn't see this yesterday - but Blacktown is apparently VERY wet underfoot and they have warned that cars are likely to get bogged. We might park on the street and tailgate if that's possible -
Congrats - they are gorgeous - I've never seen bi-blacks in person (hopefully one day you'll come to a show in Sydney and I can come down for a look!)
-
FYI - Tom Couchman just posted this on FB re Wollongong shows

The judges we've shown under in torrential weather have always been very understanding with us - Ziva has looked a little like a drowned rat, in one show we were all carrying out dogs while waiting rather than standing as the water was shin-deep (her movement wasn't that great in water that came up to her belly  ) Have lots of fun! Do you have walls for your gazebo?
-
As far as I know it's still on - we only started showing 7 months ago and I've discovered it goes on rain, hail, ankle deep water or shine! Bring a good waterproof jacket with a hood, pants and sturdy shoes or gumboots (non-slip hopefully) We're entered - but I think we'll stay home with the amount of water predicted to fall
-
What's the rain forecast for the week and weekend - I've heard the grounds can turn into a shin-deep mud pit

We have just come back from an amazing weekend away for our 10 yr anniversary - Tantarra B&B at Warners Bay http://www.tantarra.com.au/ They are dog friendly and Ziva was allowed to roam around the backyard off lead when she was the only dog in the backyard, on lead when other dogs were around (she was off lead most of the time except breakfast). The breakfasts were amazing and the hosts have 2 dallys, though they're off in their own yard. Lots of good eating spots nearby and close to some of Newcastle's dog beaches. We also did a day trip into the Hunter Valley with Z. I'm sure I'll make it harder for myself to book in the future - but I couldn't resist sharing :) This is Ziva just exploring the yard

To revive this topic - I'm having trouble interpreting the Act - dogs are not prohibited but can the owner of the establishment still refuse us acces under this part? (3) This section does not confer any entitlement on a person accompanied by a dog to use any table and chairs or other apparatus provided in an outdoor dining area by a food business (within the meaning of the Food Act 2003 ) without the permission of the operator of the food business.

DSO - thanks for the shutter speed - I'll hopefully get to give it a go this weekend :) Here is Ziva's shot for Week 7 - I brought home some McDonalds for lunch during the week and she got to play with the bag 07/52 WFD Ziva by ChiisaiHakurou, on Flickr

I had a bad dream last night - got to the show and opened my gazebo bag and it fell apart into a thousand pieces and everything I pulled out of my grooming box was wrong  I think I was nervous before today as I was hoping we'd get our last points for our Ch title!

My 5.5kg JS eats about 1/4 C kibble and a few chicken necks a day - we do a walk and playtime - she does spend a lot of time sleeping!

Half way up your thigh is not slightly shorter then knee length. If a skirt is half way up your thigh no way can you bend over and not see anything. I thnk people who wear skirts need to bend over in front if a mirror at home, every weekend you see far more on show then just dogs !! Knee length I feel is the right length. I've never had to bend over in this particular skirt - but I'm off to try it on right now and check in the mirror!
-
What is an appropriate skirt length then? Knee length? 2 inches above? I wear knee-length skirts, though I have one that is slightly shorter - maybe halfway up my thigh - but I think I have reasonable legs and I'm not flashing anything if I ever bend over.
