Gorgeous and adorable hehe. Is Cadbury a fairly common name for a chocolate lab? My OH said if i got one he thinks i should name him coco . I really want one now its gonna be hard choosing my puppy when i eventually get one it will either be a GSD or Choc lab haha Yes! A lot of choc labs have very stereotypical names. The 5 week old pup above is Coco! I have also come across Lindt, Hershey, Milo etc. My choc baby (the one in the first pic) is Lyla But, if you like the name, why not? Haha i dont think coco is the name i want but i like cadbury and milo

See thats what im worried about if i get a pup i want people to make sure he sits before they pat him but there are some people i know in my family who think its "cute" when they are little but then get annoyed when he is grown thats what it was like with my cattle dog so it would be tough for me to break that haha but i will just get angry if people dont listen to me i'll be like hey! its my puppy and i dont want him to do that!!!!. If its your puppy, it should listen to you and look to you for direction, so you should be ok. btw, I never let my puppy jump on me when she was a baby, I only started letting her in the last month or so when she was no longer required to be training. I quite a dog that will get excited when it sees you. It was pretty hard for me and her to always make her sit and then ignore her for 20 mins when i got home. Now i get crazy kisses and cuddles lol Good point thanks the last time i had a puppy i was seven(she ran away when we left her at a ex friends house when we went on holidays and she never went looking for her and only told us when we got back hence why she is an ex friend ) and i rescued the dog i have now and he wasnt jumpy so i just thought hmmmm if i did get a puppy how would i stop it. I noticed none of my dog books have that information in it. Just interesting different theories but i might try the sit one haha if i ever need it.

Choice Of Breed For A Six Year Old

i'm 18 and my mum still wont let me get a dog. That is far to much dog for a six year old i would say return it if they dont god knows what will happen when he gets bigger. -
he commented on my friends status (who she was having an arguement with) anyway he said come on bring you and your friends i got friends and a rottweiler. I snapped and said how much of a man he was arguing with a women and bringing a dog into it and how people like him give certain breeds a bad name and shouldnt own them. Did i go over the top? i hate when people write stuff like that i had to say something.

ive met nice goldens at the dog park but there is an insane one near my house that barks at the fence and does circles at the same time when people walk past but it never gets out for exercise, Kinda feel bad for him.

I agree my nans JRT x is all that lol just barks as well but he is friendly to everyone, including dogs and cats he often kisses my cat

They must think they are "rare" like blue staffords

i dont see the point in walking with your dog off leash if it walks perfectly anyway? why not just have the leash on its not like they weigh heaps we have a massive dog park near our house like an acre of land fenced off so thats where my friend goes with her dog to do off lead training etc so i dnt see the point. Put the lead of for the safety of your dog and others but its good to know you are doing it from now on.

7 dogs thats a lot of mouths to feed, I wouldnt mind any colour if i got a lab and i have noticed byb sell chocolate ones for a lot more even the black ones which is just pointless i think like its just a colour.... but meh cant change some peoples minds can you. I like to stockier labs haha but thats just me maybe thats why i like the choccy ones :D and i want to name him cadbury i have noticed some of the black ones tend to be stocky as well, there is one down the road from me he looks kinda evil when he stares at me haha but im sure he is just protecting his home.

i know this is pretty random and pointless but who has one? I like labs but i think it might be my favourite colour out of the three well mainly i met one at the dog park named diesel and i wanted to steal him he was so sweet but i assume thats with all labs haha not diesel but just a cute photo ^.^ of if you have any photos please share

my old cattle dog loved to jump up on people dad was like stick ur knee out and ignore her lol bit hard for me when i was little haha good ideas from all though
-
i dont have a puppy but curious to see what people do to stop a puppy from jumping up on people. My dads theory is stick your knee out and they cant jump up properly so they give up. So how do you stop it?
