New drawing of today and my friends on facebook think its so much better then my labrador which i love but i will see what you guys think first So tell me is the lab better or the shar pei? what do i need to fix or ad? P.s sorry for the poor quality stupid camera...

Bravo Cesar, I am sooo over the trouble makers like the people who put all the footage together. He is a wonderful trainer and has a wonderful pack leader mentality which most people lack hence their dogs fight, bite people, are out of control etc etc etc x2

His techniques work and save a lot of dogs so i dont see the issue? and i dont see why people find it so *offensive* would you rather see these dogs get euthanised? Those are hardly the only choices- tap or die! This technique has also seem owners being violently attacked the dog often dies as a result. There are plenty of safe alternatives available. Do you know about "look at that"? Why do you think this technique is better to teach people (and remember that is what a behaviorist is- a teacher). I like a lot of his stuff- but in this case he has missed the mark But i dont think it would work in 30mins or an hour? He said if you have other techniques he says you can use them, he just shows you his way because thats what he knows, if you watch his newer episodes he does use more positive reinforcement. The reason i said would you rather see them be euthanised is because most of the time these are the dogs last chances especially with the more aggressive dogs. So yeah basically its his methods or they put the dog down. Wouldnt it be fairer to blame the owners, if they claimed to use everything you shouldnt blame cesar.

I think people and dogs rough play a lot worse with each other then this little tap.

I kinda got annoyed at dogs 101 when they had just an episode of *designer breeds* but i watch that, Dog whisperer and animal cops. There is going to be a wolf documentary on nat geo wild on the 19th april im excited to see it Its called *The rise of the Black wolf*

Ive seen these episodes and a lot of them are very hyper dogs and he is just tapping them and its just to snap the dog out of it. Pretty sure there is another thread like this one.

Yeah i still have a lot to ad including the wooden stump he is laying on haha but i always do little bits at a time and is still practicing with my new pencils that my OH got me Going to do a graphic design course next year so i need to do so many drawings for my folio. One including a human which is my weak point Any suggestions on breeds or animals? Im also getting a Graphics drawing tablet and good colour pencils. Im always looking for advice and its good to get some, my friends just say its great with no advice on where to improve ;)

If she had NOT adopted that puppy, she probably would have adopted a different dog, as that was her intention. Maybe that puppy isn't dead but maybe another ones is. Maybe she needs to buy the type of dog she was originally going to buy, and keep this one as well, before we know for sure that one more puppy won't be dead. This puppy needed a home just as much as any puppy whether a rescue or a purebred. She did the right thing, she is giving her a good home and good health care.

Thanks for the tip i just worry i might make it to dark and it wont look to much like a lab I dont mean to just colour it all dark though, you need to make the shadows dark and the light areas and highlights light. I will have a go at that later ;) thanks

for some reason i find it very difficult to draw GSD ;) i try and to me they just dont look right. Its from a photograph and he has a dew claw haha and yeah i had trouble with the back leg and its the only thing about the drawing that bugs me but i cant make it perfect more practice i guess haha.

I would have taken the pup also good on you for saving her id like to see photos my first dog was a kelpie x cattle dog x rottweiler x doberman haha

Yeah i agree also i remember my aunties ones were so cuddly. They didn't have any attitude but good socialisation would stop that anyway.

Mum never let me pat other dogs that weren't mine. She always used to say it wasn't safe, although i never liked it lol but she never gave in and i guess i really respect other people when i ask to pat there dogs if they say no i reply saying thats okay and i walk away haha i dont take it to heart so i think parents have to teach there kids to ask before demanding to pat someones dog.

i know of a blue and white but im not sure if thats the same i googled it as well and it came up with silver ornaments haha
