On Christmas day I went to visit my parents. My Grandfather was there also. He's in his late 80's. I took my dog with me as he's always with me and welcome to be there. It was the first time my grandfather had met my dog (Bender, 11 month old Amstaff). His first question was 'Do you keep him on a chain at home?'. I was reminded instantly of how some old people view dogs. Things have changed. Some people haven't.

I see Rottweiler too. Yes, very cute puppy!

I'm with you Wuffles. I think they look awesome! My partner is Hungarian and owned a Puli until she died a few years back. She was a lovely dog. On the Gold Coast here she spent much time clipped kinda short. I'd never met a Puli til I met my girlfriend's family. I still haven't met a Komondor in real life. Serious dogs though from what I read.

I always think Seals are the Dogs of the ocean!

Hey Guys, We have a 7 month old Amstaff. He's a great guy in a million ways and we're just loving him to bits. I've owned Rotties for 25 years and always had the good fortune to have found them easy to train and I understood them. I am however having great difficulty training my Amstaff, 'Bender'. After trying many things suggested on the internet we are looking for personal attention with a one on one trainer. I would love a recommendation for a trainer that will visit us at home on the Gold Coast. Bit embarrassed to be stuck in this situation but really need the help with our boy. Thanks for any advice.

That feeding a dog raw meat or bones will give it a taste for blood and it will attack children. I heard this only weeks ago from an adult. Scary what goes on in some peoples heads.

I found dog tainers considerably cheaper than jet pets for a flight from sydney to gold coast. 10 kilo puppy just over a month ago, Jet pets were $190+ and dog tainers were $134. This included crate hire and the flight.

It's just about a year since I lost my last boy, Sabbath a Rottie. I still think of him every day. We wish we could hug him too. Still get tears when i think too much. My heart still hurts. Tomorrow we get a new boy, an Amstaff. Not going to compare them as that's not fair. And in years to come my heart will break again. In the time before that happens I'm going to enjoy every minute with him! I feel for you. It doesn't get too much easier in only a year does it?

Hey Guys! I'll be getting my little Amstaff on the 27th! First time owning this breed after many years of Rotties. Such a cute little guy from Kelly and Tim at Amseraphs Amstaffs. After weeks of organisation these last few days are just going to take forever!
