If I was offered something illegal, yes I would report it. If BYB was illegal, as it should be, yes I would report it. As it stands I'd just ignore it.

Wow, you're all way more ready to complain than I am. While I think what she did was stupid there's no way I'd have reported it. Not looking to argue, I guess I'm just different. :)

I laughed and nodded through the whole thing. Then at the end I had a tear in my eye.

Because when I pay for my groceries, I don't want a free serve of bullshit. Nor do I. It was really stupid of her, I agree. But when did it become ok to possibly ruin someone's employment just because you have a better understanding of how and why dogs should be bred? I'm not denying she should have kept her mouth shut. She is totally in the wrong. I think BYB should be illegal. But is that a reason to report her? This forum is a great source of information with many very knowledgeable people. But sometimes the bubble in which it exists makes for some scary attitudes.

Yes, BYB are stupid and irresponsible. Yes she needs education. Yes it was stupid of her to offer the pups to a customer. But Jesus Christ some of you people are out of control. Report her? Seriously? So you want to put her employment in jeopardy just because you know better and feel superior?

The reports states it was a seizure, not overdose. The opinion on the behaviour of this breed is given by a bystander, not a breed expert. The police are obviously and understandably untrained for these events. Police can't even deal with mentally ill humans. I don't understand where these silly new era ideas that a dog should never bite come from. For a long time the ability of a dog to defend it's owner was a sort after characteristic. They are dogs, not people. Every normal thinking person wants a well socialised and well behaved dog. When the owner is in a similar situation to the event that took place can you really expect every dog to just play nice?

On my news they were reported to be bullmastiffs. Not that the breed matters but the media likes to guess the breed anyway. Sad situation.

I've gotta mention the breeder I got my boy through. Amseraphs Amstaffs. Kelly is excellent to deal with and has fantastic dogs. I had Bender flown up from Sydney to the Gold Coast. Most handsome and well bred dog I've ever owned. I spent 12 months looking for a pup and waited for the breeding to take place. I have purchased two crates. A large soft crate nearly a year ago. It was delivered to the Gold Coast in less than 48 hours. Then last week I bought a large wire crate. Took a little longer this time but I can see why. Excellent products, price and service! Couldn't be happier. OK, maybe if I knew about a DOL discount. ;)

My boy gets hot in summer in his soft crate. I've already ordered a wire crate to keep him cooler. I have the fan on at night but he still gets too warm sometimes. If he wakes too early he just wants to go outside and lay on the concrete. Every time we have a disrupted night in the crate, it's because he's too hot.

It hardly promoted street dogs. I agree on the emotive themes being a bit much but i loved watching it. I'm not a PETA fan either but raving on about them seems just as mental.

Every day at the dog park my 12 month old Amstaff plays with a 10 year old boxer until the boxer is exhausted. This can take a while as the boxer gives as good as he gets in their quite rough play. The owner of the boxer has said he doesn't get along with every dog but he certainly puts up with the full on antics of my young Amstaff. Great playmates.
