Hi, Now that a lot of us have just brought home our pups I thought we should have a thread where we can post our pics and let each other know how our pups are getting on as the 'Waiting for a Puppy' thread isn't really relevant anymore. I'll go first We brought Rebus home 20th March at 8 wks old he whinned A LOT the first couple of days but has settled in well now. He follows me everywhere if I move he moves and is always at my feet. He is very calm and placid unlike any dog I've had before I actually sometimes wondered if theres something wrong with him he's so laid back . Toilet training was sorted within 2 days!! He sleeps in his crate in my room at night at first we were up once or twice a night taking him out but he now sleeps through . I have taught him a few commands - sit, drop, paw and leave it he's picked them all up really quickly. We will hopefully be starting puppy classes next weekend and after that will be going to a training club mainly for fun and socialisation nothing too serious. So come on Naomi, Huga, Jakemon (cant' think of anyone else of the top of my head sorry!) and everyone else with new bubbas tell us all about them hear . I've just put pics of Rebus on the other thread but here's a couple to get things started. 5 weeks old 91/2 weeks

I agree very cute will now add to my list

I feel like a bit of a traitor as I have a GSD pup but I actually prefer the look of them as Adults so my cutest pup list is - Frenchies, staffy's, boxers and now after seeing this thread GSP's in fact I think all the shorter coated pups are cuter, but in all honesty all puppies are adorable

Pic of Rebus today took lots of action shots too but they all turned out blurred I really need to figure out how to use my camera!

Thats what I thought thats why I was ignoring it and only giving cuddles when he was quiet

Hi Pockets, I know its early days and must be very strange for him and yeah he does seem a right sook already :D . He's only ever in the crate at night or when I go out which isn't often and he's never in it when we're in, will leave our door open next time though and won't bang on door :D hadn't thought about it scaring him. God I think I should maybe just chill out and enjoy him rather than overthinking everything and trying to analyse everything he does. You'll see we picked Rebus in the end so your more than welcome to use Jura if you get anymore :D . Thanks Bundy's Mum and Fuzzy82 good advice and I will take it all on board :D

Hi, we brought our pup home on Sunday so I know its still early days and I expect some whining when we leave him and at night but he even whines when we're there he is literally glued to my ankle all the time if I move he moves and he whines all the time. Is this normal and will he settle down in time or should I be correcting him? At the moment I ignore him and stop any attention if he starts whining. I've never had a puppy that whines so much before so not sure what to do? Also on the few occassions I've had to leave him alone I've put him in his crate which is in our bedroom, when I came back he was whining and crying I stood outside the door hoping he would stop then I'd go in and let him out when he was quiet but he didn't stop so I banged hard on the door which made him stop I gave it a few seconds then went in and let him out I didn't give him any attention then when he settled I called him to me and gave him a pat. Should I have just gone in and let him out straight away even though he was crying? I'm so worried about doing anything wrong with this pup even though I've never had any problems with my previous dogs .

We picked up our beautiful boy today. Up until we went we still weren't sure which one we would be getting as another lady was supposed to have first pick but she hasn't been in touch with the breeder so when we arrived we were told that we could have pick :D I had my definate favourite and as soon as she brought the two boys out he came running straight up to give lots of kisses, he chased after the kids and hung about the whole time we were there whereas the other boy just wanted to get away to lie under a bush and when picked up he winned and wanted away I'm so glad I got to get my boy . We are still not certain of a name but it looks like its now between Angus or my OH fav Rebus I think he suits both so its quite difficult what do you guys think?? He's had a good sniff about and is now out for the count on the floor spend all this money on a lovely comfy bed for him and he chooses the floor!!!! Here's some pics of our fluff ball
