Thanks for tips, I have finally found something he really wants to eat before I had tried liver treats, chicken, cheese and although he ate it he wasnt overly enthusiastic about it, anyway the thing that seems to get him excited is smackos!!! ;) He went for a playdate with friends boxer today at their house this time and again when he first saw her he whined and hid under their table within 5 minutes he was fine and out running about, she was being so rough with him today kept bowling him over. By the time we left he was covered in lots of boxer slobber and drool . Taking him to meet my other friends dog on thurs who is older and calmer and a similar size hopefully they'll have fun

Where's the best place to get a cooling mat?
-
Will look into a cooling mat thanks again for the good advice. Cornell - His crate is in our room not the ensuite when we put him in the ensuite we used part of a playpen to stop him getting out. Last night we just left him to wander our room or the ensuite or his crate as he pleased I was worried he'd have an accident but he was fine . Your dog look gorgeous too I just wanted to add that I'm surprised that some of you actually took me seriously about the shaving!!! I was joking guys there's no way I would do that to him I thought I'd made it obvious I was joking with the little oh well just to confirm I was JOKING!!!!!!

We have a long coat GSD pup and he is not good in this heat, last night (he sleeps in a crate in our room) he was panting so hard we put him in the en-suite so he could lie on the tiles which really helped. Today he is just moving from spot to spot around the house and flopping down panting away, he has a shell pool outside is there anything else I can do to help him cool down? Other than giving him a No1 with the clippers

Bjelkier - he is absolutely gorgeous :p

Wow what a day you've had with a very scary ending your dog sounds amazing hope you've given him a big reward tonight Fynesse - great story its funny how they just seem to know.

I think this is a great point to make and I'm so glad I have started to read about over vaccinating as I would have just done what the vet said and vaccinated yearly but there is no way I will do that now, it really doesnt matter how much the titre test costs I would rather pay for that than have my dog ill cause of something I'd allowed to be put in his body. Erny - Great information

Everyones puppies are gorgeous I love seeing all the pics of them so keep them coming , I'll get more up of rebus once we get our computer back from being fixed. He had his 2nd vac yesterday so 10 days and we can get out and about can't wait. Hows everyone getting on with their puppies on the lead? Rebus is ok as long as I have a treat in front of him!!
