  1. Yay! First box arrived! And I've even managed to put some away for Christmas :D I ordered one of the Kong 'Safe Stix' - which they love - not sure if it's just me but does anyone else think they look a bit like an adult toy? My housemate was in stiches when the dogs were playing with it. ETA - a 'rude' adult toy
  2. My dogs are only in the front yard if I am with them - generally throwing the ball as its the best spot for it - it is fenced at the front but I put up side fences when I first moved in so they are always in the backyard when no-one is home. Mainly as I don't want it to be as obvious that I have dogs incase someone steals them or if someone comes in and then leaves a gate open. I have a regular route that I go when walking them and I know where all the crazy barkers are - some of them I just know to walk on the other side of the road but others I have amended my route as I don't feel 100% safe walking past. Generally though I walk on quiet streets (car wise) so I often walk right in the middle of the road so I'm not too close to either front yards.
  3. Ahh!!! My housemate just texted that I have a big parcel at home waiting for me!!
  4. Thats gorgeous!! I would like a cat but think it would be pushing it with my two....
  5. Still haven't received either of my two orders!! One says it's in Australia though so hopefully soon but the other one is still in the states.... I doubt I will be able to make them wait til christmas!
  6. Happy Birthday Lola Today you would have been 2! I think of you every day and I miss you so much xoxoxoxoxo
  7. Oh no that's awful I stayed there the first time I went to Fiji back in 2006... The Fijians were so lovely.. Hopefully it doesn't mean they are out of a job....
  8. Yay - got 2 emails saying my orders have been shipped!
  9. I keep doing that, too Ordering separate times somehow makes me feel like I'm not spending as much money Thats what I did - 2 different orders I don't feel as guilty! It is nearly christmas after all and Eva will be 4 on the 1st December, I will need plenty of presents!
  10. Ok thank you - I had read that you needed to when going from PC to Mac. That makes things easy then :)
  11. I'm finally upgrading my home computer from an old Dell to a new 21.5inch iMac! I'm pretty excited! What are your recommendations for photo editing software? I have a Canon 600D that I am slowly learning to use :) and had been doing some basic editing with Lightroom on my PC. But as i'm changing to a Mac I will need to purchase new software. Am I best to stick with LR or is there another software out there that is easy enough for a beginner but also has more advanced features once I get around to learning how to use them? Thanks in advance.
  12. Just saw this on Facebook... Am soooo happy for them that they have her back and it seems she is healthy!!! Has made my night.
  13. I share with 2 x staffords (one is still a puppy though and he has a lot of growing left!). I generally have one on each side and I get pinned and can't move  When my partner is home (he works interstate currently) it is very crowded! I've told him we need to upgrade to a King size!
  14. Lola - my little darling who passed away in May at only 18 months old - with her favorite toy, I don't know how many of these we went through :) Not a day goes by when I don't think of you xoxo

  16. There seems to have been a lot of them lately. I don't look as it just makes me sad most of the time as I know there is nothing I can do...
  17. Well done!! I'm working on leave it with my girl.
  18. After reading this thread i'm going to have trouble sleeping tonight!!
  19. Thank you. I'm about to go overseas for 3 weeks & have left instructions for my mum (who is looking after Eva) to go straight to the vet if it changes. I'll assess it when I get home to see if it looks any different. Forgot to mention that Eva doesn't seem to notice its there and it's not giving her pain, etc. The vet also gave her a check all over & said she was in great shape (apart from growth).
  20. Hi, Hoping someone might be able to share their experience with me - a few weeks ago I noticed a small coral-like shaped growth on Eva's mouth. I watched it for a bit but nothing changed. I have taken her to the vet and they have given me 2 options. I can just wait and see if it changes/goes away. Or they can cut it off and send it away for testing..... She will need a general anathestic if it gets cut off. She is not quite 4 years old so I'm assuming she should bounce back quickly. What would you do? I've attached a couple of photos - it's not easy to get a clear photo of it.....
  21. I'm an O negative as well. I believe that ours can go to anyone but we can only receive O negative.... ETA- I will donate on Wednesday when they are near my work :)
