  1. The second shots are more blue. Note the sky and also colour of grass, its slight but there.
  2. I don't know what it is about bird poop, I can be out bird watching then we can be eating at a picnic table covered in bird poop and I will start dry reaching Anyway yes good macro poop shot.
  3. I just can't enjoy this thread after that bird poo shot
  4. Smaller thinner ones are easier to stick on a fridge LOL
  5. OK well my thoughts are if it is material that ever needs to be mailed its better/more economical/easier to fold if on the thinner paper. It of course depends who the audience/market is etc and how the material will be distributed.
  6. If it will make your job easier, one of the photographers at my bro's wedding yesterday was using a 5d indoors and he didn't seem to be using flash. We swapped contact details so we can check out each other's work :D 5d is no good to me as I do too much telephoto stuff
  7. Poocow, I really like your first (Water) one, certainly says Sydney without being the typical opera house or bridge shot
  8. "key" and "collections" When I came across this at someone's house I was like
  9. It can be done with the right lens, or using a flash, but it can be trickier if you want to do gaiting shots. Also there is the issue of mixed lighting, yucky doorway glare and other things.
  10. EF what sort of lens do you currently use for most of your shots?
  11. Hangar can be bad news The wisest/easiest/cheapest option is do the shots outdoors. Ive even had people willing to stack dogs out in the rain because the lighting is better outdoors than in
  12. Don't ask me, I run my equipment into the ground and then buy something when I NEED it. None of my equipment gathers dust, or if it is I sell it  Is there any way you could rent the body and just see how you feel about it?
  13. Kirislin doesn't have internet (or didn't when I spoke to her on the phone earlier). She was still ok at home but was going to a town meeting at 10am this morning. She had managed to move her horse to a Pony Club grounds in the early hours.
  14. I am enjoying trying new things for this thread. I was going to do a pink cupcake but ate it instead
  15. B-Boo: it was a challenge LOL. Camera in one hand and trying to do the bubble thing with the other
  16. I think the "patterns" on the wings of the eagle give it away Points for good effort though, I love the idea eta: that iron eagle must have 'holes' or something in its wings to create that effect
  17. Clever, Montall. That's the thing with some of these photos, they could cover 2 or 3 subjects if you wanted to As much as I enjoyed browsing the Jan thread, I think this one is alot of fun. Seeing what people come up with for the set subjects.
  18. Clicking Mad, I thought that was an oversized signature image
