  1. Caillie is such a pretty girl! P has your fridge shrunk??
  2. Looks good, P. But will you let him use it?
  3. No worries, you can compare SLRs, point and shoots etc etc and if you select 'show all cameras' it will include discontinued models also http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sidebyside.asp
  4. Comparing 350d and 30d here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_po...0d&show=all
  5. I have a lovely little lens cloth, not sure what it is made from and now I think about it I think I have lost it. I normally just washed it in the washing machine but making sure it was a light load, or not including it with anything fluffy such as towels. Hope I can find another one just like it
  6. I have not gone the "classy" route with the photo books yet but got a bunch of smaller ones made as Christmas gifts. Soft covered, 8x8 inches. As there was a glitch with the text printing on a couple pages I got them for free. Still were well received gifts. I would like to get some larger hard cover ones done at some stage. Was it Momento that had the samples at that photography trade show, PC?
  7. Me - I stick to A4 display books at the moment. Much easier to transport, slip inside a laptop bag, suitcase, weekender etc. I get prints done periodically and just slip them into those if need be. Also I don't do any of my own colour printing, Id rather pay a bit extra and have a lab do them.
  8. Oh yes, its a good read. There is also a good 'summary' sheet somewhere that you can print off and carry in your bag - for if you ever get 'questioned'. Don't know what I have done with that and whether its connected to 4020
  9. Nat, that 4020 link talks about it, I think you have to scroll right down though here it is: http://www.4020.net/words/photorights.php#commuse
  10. Ripley, well you could be a terrorist And at a dog show I could be someone 'employed' to take a horrible shot of someone's dog and send it to all their enemies in the dog world. Maybe I deliberately seek out bad toplines or dodgy gaits, even injuries!!! Not to mention making obscene amounts of money out of the images. I think the world has gone mad - some of us just want to enjoy our photography without all the additional drama.
  11. Maybe need to trade our big guns in for a credit card sized camera? Look more like tourists than criminals/photographers then
  12. I have been bailed up at dog shows - and escorted out of places. Criminal that I am. I now simply avoid places where I will run into drama/paranoia.
  13. Ruth, does this help? http://www.artslaw.com.au/LegalInformation...ntroduction.asp
  14. I think in one of those links I saw a mention of contracts or something?
  15. And some really interesting reading on Photographer's rights: http://www.4020.net/words/photorights.php
  16. More useful information is available from Arts Law: http://www.artslaw.com.au/LegalInformation/
  17. copyright basics: http://www.copyright.org.au/information/in...tion/basics.htm via that link you can also get various information sheets
  18. There is the Copyright council, arts law and another good link I have got somewhere. Will find them....
  19. Gee, don't wait around for answers So how did the butterfly shots go?
  20. Would agree with Nat's lens suggestion, although I haven't been for awhile. Butterfly house was lovely but very humid. Not sure what it is like these days but can fog a lens/camera up. Well it did mine, temporarily.
  21. bugger those buyers If it sells (say via dol) and the eBay listing has no bids you can end the listing. Trickier for you if there are bids though It would be a no-no to use ebay to SAY that you are selling it elsewhere ie mentioning that in your listing description. Listing rules here: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/listing-ov.html
  22. Has it actually got bidders at the moment? I have been browsing some items because I am looking for a body to replace a 20d so considering both 20d and 30d models.
  23. D5? I would first be checking the user guide/instruction manual that came with the camera. It should show you what dials to turn or what buttons to press for these things for a start.
