  1. OK I will post a pic of a dog that fits the description!
  2. Does Lucy have tan on her legs and a fairly fluffy tail? Also a mauve or pink collar?
  3. Thankyou Ahh no, Astro was at dog club in the morning but not at the lure coursing (does he ever go lure coursing?) I think Eric was dreaming he would like to try Oscar out but they were too tired (always are after dog club LOL) and they are going away soon too, lucky buggers. Would love to see a Chi run! There were some cresteds there though.
  4. Yes, we could all watch/participate in the lure coursing and then go back to Hedds for a BBQ
  5. And here is another of the handsome grey ghost, Beck
  6. sorry DD! Still sorting images and Weimy = W. Will post one soon I promise OK, here is a handsome grey ghost
  7. Was that dog a screamer or what??? I have never ever heard a dog make so much noise. :D
  8. Yes I was in the middle Dodging dogs and trying to catch some of the wanderers LOL as well. So which doggy was Chester? OK what other DOLers were there now that a few have piped up? Edited to add: just saw photo post, Chester is a Dali. Was Chester the one that kind of "bucked" when he got startled?
  9. Hi Sam See there were some DOLers there and I didnt even know it. Which dog did you have? Did you get any shots of Rosie? Despite me being close to the action the ones I have of her mostly have her looking like a kangaroo (which she does well) LOL. Hedds was there with Banjo (he looks like a Smooth Collie cross) and dogdayz was there with her Weimaraner, Beck. Be great if a few more DOL people could get there, its entertaining and I said Id give it a plug
  10. Obedience on Sat and Agility on Sunday by the look of it (just reading my Vicdog)
  11. Can anyone tell me how far apart weave poles are placed? I am thinking about putting some in my backyard. Beginner dog here. Is it true that the weave poles are placed in a zig zag type formation when starting out?
  12. Nat, the manuals are like thick novels these days - who would be bothered? :D Does Reilly like little dogs? Maybe one of the terriers could run with him next time? I wont offer Rosie because I think it would be a case of the lure-challenged leading the lure-challenged?? :D
  13. Those Borders Ts are so cute and mischievious :D There was a baby there, either a daughter or sister to Fergal (Caber's dad) and she had a little go at the lure coursing too and was barking at the lure Such a little mite too.
  14. dogdayz, where are you? I will upload a pic of Beck if you are ok with it, let me know
  15. Rosie stepped on the line at one point and think got a fright so not sure how she would go next time....but she enjoyed having a run around anyway. Her lure buddy was a little Border Terrier (Caber's daddy actually). I just like trying her with different things, doesnt necessarily mean we will do it regularly though There would be other dogs I am sure who would run around with the novices, just a matter of asking...
  16. Scroll up Jeff to see pic I have added of Max
  17. OK, here is one of my little girl (as if I havent got enough action shots of her!!) Was lovely of you to turn up for "moral support", Hedds. Kiss for Banjo for his sore paw. We will have to catch up for sure. I will be at KCC again on the 20th Aug (dog show and Rosie is entered) and hopefully back to enjoy the lure coursing end of Aug
  18. I saw ya there Hedds, sorry I didnt come out to say hi. You would have seen me bailed up!! Did Banjo have a run? There are some awesome fast dogs there, some of the more speccy ones include Max, and a Kelpie. The little terriers were fun to watch! Crazzzzy! Edited to add: pic of Max
  19. Yep, Rosie had a run and I am glad she did run because she has had ants in her pants the last few days. Not sure she "gets" the idea of the lure (and she actually thinks plastic bags are boogie men!) but I am sure having a little "pro" dog in with her helped! I have about 1.5 gig of photos to sort through ;) Got some great action piccies of all kinds of doggies. Will try to atleast post a couple of the DOL dogs Rhi, had a chat with Wendy and Astro this morning. We were yacking on about AJ (Elvis!). Rosie was fascinated by Astro and I think Astro liked the fact she was a real girl hehe.
  20. Hi people It was nice to see and catch up with some DOL-ers today at the lure coursing. Didnt realize Id get roped into a job but anyway had great fun with the camera and being close to the action. Was an entertaining afternoon! I will try to post a couple pics but I havent even had lunch or tea yet let alone sort through images. Bare with me
  21. Sunday Mainly fine, with a shower or two clearing during the afternoon. Min: 9CMax: 16C But who knows!! We have a couple things as well as dog club in the morning, still hope to be there though. Rosie has had ants in pants today and destroyed the door mat ;)
  22. Well if the weather is good I might make the effort (good to me doesnt mean sunny, good means non slippery/soggy ground). I was really hoping Bodie or Clover might be there to show Rosie the ropes! Does anyone know if its a straight course with starting boxes (???) or if its a zig zag course??? Ive not seen one at KCC, only demos at pet expos etc.
  23. I am at a loss what dry food to get next. Rosie at Supercoat (Adult) for a few days (off and on) but now wont touch it. I have no idea why??? At first she wouldnt touch the meatybites (gift) but now has them off and on. I think she used to eat Bonnie but Id have to find a stockist. What size packs does Bonnie come in? I am really hesitant to buy big packs of anything in case she goes off them. Is there anywhere I can get samples of a range of dry? When I was living in SA some of the large supermarkets had a great bulk section where it was self serve for lollies, nibblies and even dry dog food (various kinds). Not sure if they do that anywhere in Victoria.......
