  1. Here are my Whippets @ 6 weeks learning how to be "real whippets" haha! All the litter photos in this thread look great I reckon!!
  2. There are so many different answers to this question online... Can I get a general consensus as to if your vaccinated or unvaccinated dog came into contact with parvo virus how long until you would see signs of the virus if your dog was going to get it?
  3. Wow cuteeeeeeeeee puppies all! We just did 5 weeks yesterday. All going well
  4. One of my favourite treats is the Inghams chicken roll you buy at the supermarket. Cut it up into little cubes and you are good to go. I usually buy devon rolls at the same time and cube them too. Quick and easy! I also plan to make my own liver bread which is the recipe above though instead of using sardines you use blended liver I think. Ill experiment anyway
  5. My adult dogs LOVE the crate and will seek it out however I consider any dog that will go in a crate when asked and will then settle quickly and quietly to be crate trained.
  6. Here is another couple of previous ones when my GD was knee high to a whippet haha.
  7. Here is one or two I prepared earlier, frozen and a minimum pan... Ill do some recent dog ones next week! Interesting the quality between the 2 photos, the bird is my new camera and lens, the horse is my first dslr basic kit.
  8. Pacing is a 2 beat gait where the legs on the same side of the body move together rather than he diagonal legs moving together in a trot. I presume mouth your dog means show the judge your dogs teeth.
  9. Glad everyone is going well! Re Vacs: Im probably going to use the Protec Duramune (excuse spelling) as it is an early finish vac that cuts through maternal antibodies or Ill use the Nobivac program that is the same idea. They are both a first vac at 6 -8 weeks and then a final one at 10-12 weeks then they just need a booster 12 months later. I think I will do the 6/10 week or 7/11 as Id love to know my pups are covered at 12 weeks when they come out for their first shows. I took a fecal sample to the vet today and no worm eggs and no coccidia so hopefully the pups pooh will firm up by themselves shortly.
  10. I have not read the entire thread though I will say that I have no problem with vet students operating on dogs that are going to be PTS before they are PTS as long as they are treated with respect and in a humane manner the entire time.
  11. In NSW we can place a puppy on main register and also "tick" not for breeding &/or not for export when we fill out the transfer on the back of the certificate. ETA can you do this in VIC?
  12. Perhaps the Mastive stands for.... Maremma American Staffordshire Shepard Tibetan Mastiff Irish Wolfhound Visla English Bulldog Seriously though not good at all
  13. There are some darn cute puppy photos here. ADJ they are so similar! Very nice looking Aussies!! I will have some new pics soon. Still have runny pooh and one yellow/clear mucous pooh so just waiting for the next one to go and Ill get a fecal sample to the vet. (Ive been waiting since 9 am & I've tried intermittently today to get them to go but no way apparently) They are all bright and happy and starting to walk, starting to mouth and play and feeding like troupers. Lots of nice light wee too so drinking enough. Hopefully it is something simple.
  14. I was worried about the same thing... I went for the Nobivac 10 week final vac (pup had already had a 6 week) so I could get my pup out by 12 weeks and know she was covered. Like how do you know that the owners of the other puppies in the class are careful about where they take their pups and they inadvertently bring a contaminated pup to class? Freaks me out lol.
  15. Have you tried tinned cat food or sardines? You could maybe use Nutrigel while your working out her food issues? Im sure someone with more experience will have better ideas. Good luck! Mine went off her food for about 10 days at 3 weeks gestation. She would only eat chicken necks as they are easy and Id make sure no-one would disturb our feeding routine which was me hand feeding her chicken necks one after the other until she stopped, wait 5 minutes and then offer more.
