  2. I hate the way at kcc park when people with dog trailers park long ways taking 3 to 4 car parks along the exercise yards, god gave you legs bloody use them & park 100mtrs further away where you are supposed too.
  3. does anyone know if each group has its own ring or are we sharing as per last year???
  4. I know this wont happen but here goes, before the gates open on the morning of a show the person responsible for that job goes around & dismantles the gazebos which are illegaly erected & places them in a storage area, when you turn up & your gazebo is missing you go & pay your heafty fine & you get your gazebo back & with a very red face & empty wallet you go & set up like every one else does . END OF STORY but of course the toothless tigers wont do this, but please prove me wrong p.s the unclaimed items could be auctioned off to raise fund for very needy clubs???
  5. hi there the only advice i can give you is get in it & go for a ride around the block, you may be supprised, be aware of exhaust fumes being sucked into it as most people dont take this into consideration & you wont know unless you get in it. i had experience with a horse float & i got gassed on a short trip up the road. best of luck
  6. does anyone know if we are inside or outside tonight??? thank you
  7. i work in electrical wholesale & can confirm the flood lights would cost at the absolute maximum $1200.00 each & the poles $800.00 plus the wiring costs so who is doing the $130.000 costings??? seems very excessive!!! may be it should be put out for tender to get a gauge on the actual cost & not just pluck one.
  8. hi there one of the prisons does them too & are very reasonable, the horse world use them!!!
  9. Does anyone know if the show is still on, as its very damp here & i would imagine kcc park would be a lake by now.
  10. & I REPEAT ANY PRODUCT THAT CHANGES THE COLOUR OF THE COAT IS A DYE. MAJIC SILVER WHITE IS A DYE, IF IT TURNS WHITE HAIR BLUE ITS A DYE. DONT FOOL YOURSELF. Some of them do contain dyes, some of them don't, when I come out of my 'dilusional' fantasies I read the bottles and make sure I buy a color enahncer, not a dye. It's like purple shampoos, they do not contain dyes, they merely trick your eye in to thinking the hair is whiter by the way the light reflects. Are you going to tell me products like Cowboy Magic contain dyes? That changes my boys feet from gold to white and his crest from dark grey to black with one wash, it just reflects the light better and your eye sees a more pleasing color.
  11. any of the livamol or seawead meals are a natural way of coloring a coat, also beetroot, carrot & pumpkin can also colour a coat. any one who thinks the horse colour enhancers are not a dye is severly delusional, i showed horses at the top level for many years & if a product can change an animals colour in an hour its a dye. WAKE UP
  12. thanks for that, do you know who the rubig toy was???
  13. does anyone have hobart royal results please, esp group 7
  14. big 7 saturday was frenchie rubig schip. hope this helps
  15. once again people need to wake up to themselves, a few knock backs & they will get their entries in on time im sure.and for your information i have taken entries for shows & never had a problem as people knew the rules & knew i wouldnt bend the rules for any one, which is how it should be.
  16. one simple solution : dont accept any entrys after the closing date & there wont be any arguments. the slack people who cant get their act together will soon learn & change their bad habits. its about time people woke up to themselves. Then one ought propose a change to the VCA Regs? The big picture is that All Breeds clubs get between a third and a half of their entries after the advertised closing date, and that they tend to have a show secretary collate the forms and money then a cataloguer organise the catalogue and arrange its printing and delivery. With that sort of process there's a lot of chance of hold ups so they organise things earlier to mitigate their risk. Because NSDCV is organising everything in house and had an advertised deadline of only 23 days we are still getting entries daily but shall be able to make it work.
  17. i would like it known i have never mentioned the word solicitor or court but i did mention that there should be some recorse through the vca or the club holding the show to hold who ever the owner of the offending missile accountable. you have a dog that bites at a show & causes damage the vca has a corse of action in place. well the same should be for an exhibitor who doesnt adequatly secure a potential missile, something should be done before someone or someones dog is damaged as what nearly happened recently. finaly if my gazebo took off & went through your gazebo & got your prize winning dog would your critisims be the same, i think not.
  18. i saw this happen recently. the offending owner couldnt care less & refused to offer to pay for any damage, there should be some sort of rules in place in the case of this happening, im sure i wouldnt be as understanding as the the people who had their expensive gazebo VERY damaged.
  19. hypotheticaly im wondering the correct protocol when there are inclement weather conditions & a stray gazebo is blown across the grounds & flattens my gazebo, who is obligated to pay for what & if they are obligated to pay & refuse to what recorse do we have as an inocent party????
  20. hi there you can buy all the leather & associated items from leffler in kensington. they dont have all the bling stuff but have thonging, clips, full hides. they cater mainly for saddlery, upholsterers & leather clothes. hope that helps
  21. old habits die hard, give it a real go for at least 12 months & watch all the critics get on board, before long it will be the prefered method for show entries. [quote name='brentland' date='3rd Mar 2011 - 07:31 PM' post='5181760' Some Victorian clubs have already used it - as I already said - with limited success. Melbourne Dog Club used it last year - only had about 40 dogs entered that way - to the best of my recollection... Might have been the year before... they all run together nowdays! LOL I think some of the Gippsland shows have used it too..
  22. why doesnt someone get off their bum & give victorians the option to use ozentries & then gauge the result instead of all this idol chit chat of the hows whys & maybes. i for one will definitly use this great service, im not afraid of the 21st century.
  23. ACCEPTED. Want to re-consider your choice of user name????  The thing is that blues are virtually never seen in the show ring - and I can't recall seeing more than a handful at specialist shows where they might actually get the opinion of someone with real knowledge of the breed, the the huge majority of breeders of blues have no idea what they're aiming for in terms of correct conformation - let alone actually try to prove they can breed it! i couldnt agree with you more but at the end of the day you are going to have breeders with different agendas & ideas to yours or mine for that matter & we are never going to agree entirely on them. just remember that if it werent for the badly conformed animals out there ours wouldnt do so well in the show ring. why would i like to reconcider my choice of user name?????????
  24. if the blue dogs are pure & occur naturaly they should be excepted & no the breeder isnt unethical, but if the quality is poor then the true breeder will sort the rubbish out & so will the show ring. at the end of the day if breeders are so concerned breed a decent blue & show people what good conformation is. people should be more concerned with conformation rather than the colour, colour should be the last thing on peoples mind.
