She's a very fine girl and little in height too, hence why i worry about her getting hurt.

Thankyou for all if your comments. The answer to the Dobies, is they're still a little to big for my daughter, otherwise yep she'd be stuck with them. Not necessarily looking just yet, my Daughter's been told she could be waiting for up to a year before it happens, just wanted to get some ideas and Thankyou getting some great ones.

This is me and this is my daughters dog, we have all put time and effort into this little girl and she is a fantastic dog because of it. But when I see the poor little girl tumbling because my Dobies are to rough because they're running around with each other, it's not fair on Cinder. My daughter has had a lot if fun with Cinder and wants to continue on with the dogs. I worry about Cinder being hurt.

She's was a rescue originally, the owners I bought her off, bought her out of a pet shop window, cause she was cute and then put her (as a baby puppy) with a dog that was going to kill her. Cinder has been our dog for two years and came with problems (like toilet ing) that we have gradually fixed most of the time. We were told she was a Mini Foxie and she looks pretty pure. I am looking for a new home for her as my Dobies are playing to rough with each other and are starting to accidentally hurt her. I know it's an accident cause I see them curl up together later. I'm keeping them separated other than supervised play at the moment, but that's not fair on Cinder, so I'm looking for a new good home for her. She's not leaving here until I do. I'm in Brisbane. Cinder is desexed and all up to date with vaccinations, I monthly heart worm her. She has home obedience (though being a terrier, the recall can sometimes be a bit iffy) and she's started agility classes. She can be a little bit timid (especially with males) but warm to her and she warms to you.

We're looking for a breed of dog for my daughter. I have Dobermanns and they're rough, so little dogs have proven to be out. My daughter is a tall 11 year old and was training with agility and lure coursing. We're after ideas of what sort of breed of dog to get her. Something that doesn't mind the rough and tumble of the Dobies, but something that a kid (with myself and other adults supervise) can train (something that doesn't need too much encouragement, as she doesn't get physically excited - as she gets embarrassed - even though me and her instructor tell her otherwise). What does the DOL forum suggest.

Yes please, cause some of them I just didn't know, like Warren Hound? I googled it and still don't know.

My Dobie talks rather than growls. Sorry to the staffy owners, but it's like staffy talking. It's usually only when he's excited, but if he is... Something he'll do and almost strangulated sound and that's when other owners will look at me weird.

Could People Think You Have Abused Your Dog?
DobieMum replied to far_kenell_73's topic in General Dog Discussion
My Dobie talks constantly. Not a barker, but like a staffy talk. It's either that it whining, so I'm sure people think I'm abusing him by not taking him to the vet to get this pain sorted out. He's not in pain, it's just him, he's a talker. People either look at me badly or they're running away, cause they think he's going to attack them ;) Modified to fix my spelling mistake -
I go to Qld agility and jumping dog club and we have our training on Thursday night at Durack starting at 7pm. After this month we're finishing for the year and will be back in end of Jan.

I feed Royal Canin, but added to that my brother-in-law put me onto bone dust from the butchers. To explain, you know when you use a saw you get the dust off it and it collects around the saw, butchers actually get the same thing and they call it bone dust. I buy iy for about $1.00 a kilo and my dogs go nuts over it. Where i love it, is the meat isn't usually bloody, it's actually quite dry and crumbly.
