I have seen this website before and was devastated that a dog of my chosen breed caused an incident in which a child lost its life. They were not very forthcoming on what they thought caused the dog to react the way it did (they detailed the incident but not what they thought was the reason for the dog's reaction) and from time to time I still wonder about this.

Wow I can't believe they were encouraging that behaviour and called the child back to harass that poor dog some more. Amazing, some people are obviously completely oblivious to their dog's body language

No, she is still unclaimed at the pound I believe the ranger is trying to organize for her to go to a foster carer over Christmas but that will only be a temporary solution (though it will buy her more time and relieve her kennel stress). It is very difficult to find rescues willing to take on the bully types and even worse at this time of year

I am sorry but it does not sound to me that there is anything ethical about this group. Even their artwork is plagiarized! Why are people even still arguing with this person, they will obviously not take any advice on board and after reading the entire thread I think they may simply be baiting you? If they are doing anything illegal, report them. Otherwise just ignore them and make sure all the relevant people/rescues know not to deal with them, just like PR?

That's probably because they make so much money off of their clients that have them... This is true. Not every vet actually cares for animals or even likes them. Sad, but true. Some people are in the profession for money.

Just because somebody is about to be a vet does not necessarily make them responsible or even knowledgeable about things that were not specifically taught (and even sometimes things that were taught). I find that many young vets will learn more in 12 months of real vet experience, than they did during their entire time at uni :p Many will take much longer than this to become humble and realize that they do not know everything yet, despite being a qualified vet. Maybe once she treat a few dozen completely avoidable hereditary byb illnesses and ha to put some of those dogs to sleep herslelf she will gain some perspective. Maybe.

You did just pass judgment on them without even knowing them. Also is it now required to kennel all dogs? So any group that uses foster homes is bad and irresponsible if they dont have them live in kennels? How did I pass judgement? I said nothing about them needing kennels. You were the one who said you were going to keep the dogs inside your home and this person said that is what they do as well. I do not see how I have stated an untruth or passed judgement on any of these things? I merely said that it appeared to me that the two of you were "networking" and I believed the dog may have gone there. If she didn't, then surely you could have just corrected me?

I have not previously commented on this thread. I have not passed judgement on the quality of that person's work either, but only assumed they did something similar to what you were planning because they said they did not have kennel and did a rescue-from-home style thing. My bad if that is not what they are doing.

This. You seem to be very inclined to listen to the advice given here, which is not always the case. It's great to see though! I also agree that $600 for an unreg. puppy is pretty exorbitant! Especially without any kind of health testing. ETA: With the way BSL is going at the moment I would be even more inclined to go with a papered dog so that you have a way of keeping it safe from laws aimed at "pitbulls".

There are various facebook pages and groups where this drama is unfolding. It seems that there is another person in Vic doing something similar as this person and they are "networking" together. I have not read it all but it appears to me one of the greys went to this person? Not sure about the other
