Yes, in theory lol The reality is, that a lot of people would not be able to afford lengthy legal battle and would simply bend over and take what is dished out. The RSPCA, despite what they may claim during ads begging for donations and such, are very well funded and are not afraid to use the power this money gives them.

Here you go: http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/inforcepdf/1979-200.pdf?id=cdd097d8-009d-48a1-a284-e6f86a5ab271 So basically, as long as they claim they believed an animal was in immediate danger, they can break and enter and be within their rights. Cool, huh

Last I read, the RSPCA can enter your premises, excluding a dwelling but if they have reason to suspect an animal may be in immediate danger, they can then enter a dwelling. It has been done during the RSPCA show on TV, they literally broke into someone's house to seize their (well cared for) dog because it had a docked tail (not fresh or anything, they returned the dog after getting a bunch of money for vet checks and such). Laws from other countries only apply to that country.

There is already a massive thread on this. From what I gather, the main changes will be that breeders are supposed to become licensed, which means they can come and inspect you at any time as they know where you are, and actually enforce rules. There are already many restrictions in place which simply cannot be enforced (i.e. dog numbers, no whelping on land that is not zoned for it etc) and which are now scaring pure bred breeders shitless, and rightly so, since you will not be able to avoid these regulations any longer once they can look you up and visit any time. NSW also has similar drafts being reviewed and I have already completed the government surveys to give my opinion on it (as per DOGS NSW recommendations) and so should everybody else who cares for pure bred dog breeding to continue other than in a large commercial facility.

Dogs Seized From No Kill Shelter

I'd say baited (non poisonous you'd hope) cat traps would be your best bet :p -
Pretty sure most councils already have a limit on the number of dogs you can keep (at least on residential land) and anything over you need a permit, so this is not a "future" scenario but a "right now" kind of deal... What exactly is going to be changed/brought into legislation?
-
I think having a large percentage of dead beat owners who don't confine them might contribute to these numbers. ETA: I agree, btw, that some breeds can be prone to not getting along with other dogs unless well socialized and well managed. This includes some bull breeds but also many other breeds, including, from my own experience, GSDs and Weimaraners. Still, all dogs need responsible owners to manage them

I also have been wondering about the red nose thing. Any dog can have a red nose (providing it is genetically a liver), how does a red nose make a dog a pitbull? I've seen photos of a lot of US ped pitbulls and they come in all sorts of colours? Where did the obsession come from? Or did it start off with somebody who actually knew their stuff and preferred some of the red lines and this got bastardized? Every time somebody tells me about their red nose pitty I can't stop myself laughing so hard I snort, literally, like a piglet

This. 90% of "lost" ads on my local buy, swap and sell say "stolen", because everybody wants your variety Heinz57 friendly staffy mix you know.... They aren't a dime a dozen or anything, being given away for free on the same page.... Even if there were legitimate dog fighters out and about looking for dogs all the time, everywhere, all they had to do around here is drive down the street and pick up a couple dozen strays. Even so, I imagine they could only use so many dogs before they run out of room or their bins/backyards get full of dead dogs. Most posts get comments saying the dog was seen wandering near xyz, so obviously it is just roaming, not stolen.

If somebody feels threatened by him they need to make a report with the police. This may actually get his gun licence suspended and his firearms will be seized. A fair result methinks -
Great, thanks Espinay!

Owner Charged With Murder After Jogger Killed By His Dogs
BlackJaq replied to RuralPug's topic in In The News
I think an article about this case has been posted before but in any case, it gets my thumbs up once again! This should be the result for any dog attack case, owners charged with murder or grievous bodily harm, depending on outcome. Would be no different if they hit people with their car. Would be nice if they were banned form owning any more pets as well. -

My insides roil every time I think of him being grilled on the topic by a person who knows what they are talking about.. Or even nnocent questions form the public.. He can do nothing but harm to this cause -
Sounds great, how are they holding up? Any damage at all?
-
No problems, most of the pictures are of dogs sitting down or at the most, standing. I doubt they are going anywhere in a hurry and if they do, they'll probably just sit down again when they get there.

They look just like the extreme end of their Horses (mostly American Quarter Horses and American Paint Horses). Except the horses become dog meat by 5 because their tiny feet cannot sustain their huge mutant bodies and the whole thing just collapses on itself... Their human body builders don't look much better either... See example of beef cow horse: http://showhorsegallery.com/articles/horses_arent_supposed_to_look_like_beef_cows

Dogs Seized From No Kill Shelter

I've gotta say that this whole drama has certainly brought her a bunch of funds and willing (free) workers to clean up and improve her property. Which, a far as I'm aware, belongs to her personally, no? So if the "shelter" gets shut down, she will still have extensive facilities in her possession and the property should have increased in value vs the state it wa sin before. Maybe she wants to sell up and move to Hawaii or something? Who knows?! -
Some LGDs in their country of origin wear spiked collars to stop large predators being able to latch onto their neck during work but those dogs are so stumpy legged (imitating the Dachshund look maybe?) and fat/juiced up on steroids, I'd be surprised if they manage to reach to lick their own ass, not to mention do any kind of real work. I think it is quite safe to say it is for touch guy appearance only as these dogs would only serve in the capacity of lawn ornament. ETA: Oh snap wobbly!

I've been looking at these for ages to put under the gravel in my horse yards and never found anybody who actually used them before. Did you buy them in a shop or did you order them online? If online, how much was shipping approximately? (I realize it depends on location but a general idea would be nice)

Why would you put him in charge of that anyway, that's like getting the dog to organize your books -

Ok thanks, I have seen the cat pictures now and have to agree it is certainly very poor handling. Why would you post photo like that in the first place if you are not trying to hurt your cause  -
Yes, people have been sterilized at an early age. Do you have any documentation to show how this has influenced their development? Do Eunuchs live longer than all unaltered men or are there unaltered men who outlive Eunuchs? How many Eunuch do they have to outlive to prove their physical health is better? And how do Eunuchs know that they are happier than unaltered men? What was the perceived problem with women? Why are the reasons more disturbing than those for chopping the testicles off a man, making him a Eunuch? I am genuinely interested because I know many entire dogs who have outlived neutered males. Are there actual surveys or studies on this? I don't recall ever coming across one but then I have not actually looked into it, having girl dogs. If an entire male is not exposed to in heat bitches, I cannot imagine why he would be less happy than an altered male dog? Or are you inferring that male hormones somehow make males unhappy?

But I have repeatedly asked you. How do you suggest we engage the system of government? Anti BSL campaigners have been struggling with this question for years now and yet you seem to have all the answers and solutions so go ahead and enlighten me please
