  1. Nawwww what a sweety. Puppy cuddles are the best when you aren't feeling 100 percent! Was thinking of getting a pack for my older girl because she is always so over the top with walks thought it would give her something to do, but don't know if its a good idea because of her hip displaxia. Might ask the vet we see about her hips next week when we go back to see him.
  2. Thanks! Yeah can you email me the fullsize pics I will pm you my email address. Your a legend. Haha I call her my springbok because she bounces around so much! Yep got mine from HorseLand for $15, its 8 metres long so heaps of room it was great for the security at the start of the meet but was able to let her off at the end. Watch out they get up speed though, I swear she almost broke her neck at one stage when she reached the end of the lead at full speed and came to a sudden stop!
  3. ;) SO true, look at her the bloody goober. Its ok for me to copy these photos hay? So long as I leave your watermark? They are fantastic, better action shots then I got!
  4. Yeah it was fantastic Scarlett. The dogs had loads of fun and I was even able to let Phi off lead after lunch she was being such a good girl. Yeah the list is good but it doesn't really give much of a description of the park so its hard to tell what your getting into unless you go and look like I did the other week. If someone wants to a suggest a park they have been to that was good then that might be the best way. Yeah it is annoying when people think it is ok to just let there dog do whatever while they have a chat!
  5. Yes Phoenix got a bath and Keira did too while I was at it. I know what you mean by dead, Phi is sound asleep next to me on the bed. LOL
  6. Hey Dandy, glad you had a good afternoon!! Sucks you missed it I am sure Raz would have had a fantastic time!! Its was really good, not overly busy and all the dogs were very polite. The dogs all provided us with a lot of laughs. Lexie who basically refused to swim went on a massive mission across half the lake TWICE chasing ducks! Pheonix decided after lunch that Louie's lead was the best toy ever and was pulling on it,meanwhile Louie is inadvertently playing tug-o-war with Phoenix as he tries to swim out and get the ball. Got a few pics and I know Flick did also. Just uploading to photobucket, will post shortly! Ok so here are some of the photos and here is a link to my photobucket page where you can view all of them as I can't really be bothered posting all (sorry I didn't do any editing yet to pretty them up) http://s1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee495/...;cpZZ1QQtppZZ24 Lexie in her lifejacket Banjo and Louie Phi and Louie Lexie Louie http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee495/...11/DSC00664.jpg Louie playing tig-o-war without actually knowing he is LOL I caught a big one LOOK Pouncing in the water Lexie, Banjo and Louie
  7. Will do Dandy. My brothers have just headed in for Top Gear too! Have fun!
  8. Just confirming weather is great and the meet is a go ahead!
  9. Well I have no plans for next Saturday so I am keen I am not fussed where either. Not sure about Whites hill, I went out 3 or 4 weeks ago and it was open. Nothing on the BCC website.
  10. 3 is fine Dandy Um well just before you go in the gates to Daisy Hill there is a street on the right(its unsealed non named road pretty much opposite lawnton st) you park in there and te entry to the walk that goes to the resovoir is at the end of that street. We can meet there and you have my # if your having trouble finding the right spot.
  11. Haha fair enough! Ok cool I am happy to head west one day and meet you somewhere out there so you dont have yo travel as far and I am sure there is somewhere good out there to go
  12. Fantastic Dandy. Meet at about 230/3ish. Its approx 30 mins to walk to the resovoir from where you park.
  13. Oh yeah I have been to whitehill its good there but really busy!! Well as previously mentioned I am always up for play dates between regular meets. Im happy to come to whitehill Well its only supposed to sprinkle during the day tomorrow so we should be fine but I guess we can reassess tomorrow morning. I will text everyone in the morning, it will be easier than using DOL. If its only sprinkling on and off we should be fine and it will mean less people at the park. I can't make Sunday, but I would love to catch up for a playdate sometime. Weekends are better for me. I'm happy to travel up to about an hour away, and prefer fenced areas. I like New Farm Park (though it's just over an hour away), Booker Place at Bellbowrie is excellent (has agility jumps/tunnels/ramps) as well as a couple of undercover seating areas. If you prefer, you can PM me...as I'm on DOL pretty much daily. Where are you based Jadesamara? Dandy and I might be doing a bushwalk next weekend to a resovoir where the dogs can swim its near by us in Logan. Otherwise Saturday's I am usually free all day.
  14. What if..............they were bogans What if............. it had always been their dog? What if..............it was a restricted breed & they were trying save their sorry asses? Plenty of ''what ifs'' that fit án often played out scenario. We cant blame all dog attacks on bogans and restricted breeds. Dogs are dogs and by nature and prior treatment they can and do attack occasionnly, disasters happen, the poor victim doesnt care about what ifs..... Wiseguy you have made it blatently clear your hatred of Pit Bulls and their ilk, maybe time to get off that particular bandwagon as there are many people who do like pit Bulls and find your relentless attacks on them insulting :D Thank you. I agree. It's a little egotistical to believe someone posted this thread just to get at you. And downright low to go and bring Pitbull's into it to try to save your breed.
  15. That works for me! Yep 12, see you both there and hopefully Dandy a bit later
  16. Just read in another article on it that the pup had 2! injections one into its leg and one into its heart!!!! http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8219504/p...anasia-attempts
  17. Poor kidlet, hope he makes a full physical and mental recovery. What were the owners thinking! Lucky thay guy was there! Gosh some peoples comments make me sick to the stomach, bloody closed minded people who believe everything the media feed them. Noticed because the dog could be clearly identfied as a Stafford It didn't have the breed at all in the headline, But if it was an unknown cross breed it would have had Pitbull in the headline.
  18. Yeah I have a set I use for camping. Got plates, mugs, cuttlery etc. Nothing flash but should do the job for the 3 of us.
  19. Oh no I hope she is OK!! Look forward to meeting Lucy and you at the April meet though! What area are you in? Ok so its just the 3 of us(me, GG and Flick) and 4 dogs?? Ok so I will bring bread rolls and cold meat and salad (ie: tomata, lettuce, carrot) to go with it and some softdrink. Can you guys bring like a fruit salad or potato salad or pasta salad? And maybe each bring a soft drink or something to drink whatever you want. Also whay cold meat do you prefer - turkey, ham, roast beef???
  20. Wow what a fantastic response you received Elina. I hope you have enjoyed your time here and enjoy the rest of the time you are here. You must have saved a fortune in Accommodation!! I am planning on travelling the States mid - end of next year so might have to try something like this!
  21. Yep I have a dog with fully developed big dog syndrome my 3 yo Bullmastiff X still thinks its ok to sit in Mummy's lap And I have a developing big dog syndrome in my 6 month old Amstaff X who currently weighs 17 kilos! She is often referred to as my lap dog by my family LOL. She thinks she can still lay in the crook of my arm against my chest when in truth its actually painful yet its so cute I cant bring myself to remove her.
  22. Good for little Wall-e but how sad for all those other pups, to deem them too sick to survive and then have one of them survive a needle for euthanasia really makes the vet sound incompetent. I wonder if he ran out of the drug and just thought he would dump it with the rest and it would pass away over night..... all those pups should have been given a chance its disgusting.
  23. It also says he had never been asked to identify the dog so he probably hasn't seen the dog they have impounded. He may think it is his dog.
  24. When you say worse condition, do you mean their hip bones sticking out etc? If so, I know you cannot see it but that is exactly how the dingoes on Fraser looked, so don't fret it is natural because they only eat when they can catch something (unlike our pampered pooches) and things like grass hoppers are high in protein but nothing else so it doesn't really put fat on them.
  25. Hi, Yes the underwater treadmills are apparently good for this injury. I will take him to a dog rehabilitation place which has one, however it is difficult getting time off from work during the day to take him there. I was hoping to hire a dog treadmill so that I could use at home with him. Thanks, -Angela Yeah I know it is hard, I have a dog who has had patella surgery and who has hip displaxia. Do none open on weekends? Also just swimming is good also, so if you have access to a swimming pool getting your dog in and just swimming it round and round is great exercise and really good for helping heal the injury. Otherwise you should be able to find somewhere in your area which offers dog hydrotherapy. I don't know where in Vic you are but if you are close enough to Digger's Rest there is a place called Kepala there that has a pool you can use for hydrotherapy, its heated etc. 6 or so months after my girl had her op she started limping again, they day after we had our first swimming session she had stopped limping. So now I just try to take her swimming as much as possible.
