  1. Oh my gosh that is just horrible. Poor poor thing what a horrible thing for them both to go through. I have never had to have a dog PTS and my family has only ever had cats PTS so cannot really offer any insight. I hope your friend is ok and that you can provide her some comfort. It was not her fault at all. My thoughts are with your friend who has gone through such as hard time.
  2. That sucks about not being able to go to the Coast :p Haha no don't change!! I am like you after a coffee wen I have had a red bull haha, need someone to equal me out although my friend Les tends to keep up with me and she will be there. Ooo I want to go to Elanora was going to go last weekend but didn't make it but its like 5 mins from my house so give me a heads up and I might come depending on when it is ;)
  3. Shirts have been paid for. I have emailed the seller explaining what they are for and that we require them for the 15th May and asking her to please post them as soon as possible once payment has shown up in her account. Fingers crossed they arrive by Friday!
  4. LMAO at your Mum's comment about boobies. That is halarious!!! How about you just make up the stencil for the words and a stencil for the pawprint and then we can work it out from there FYI - Just so everyone knows I will pick up the stencils over the weekend and take them with me on the morning of. GG I am getting Dju to make up 2 of each stencil so we can work through faster
  5. Not sure, they haven't registered yet but I guess if they do decide to come they can pop into kmart or target to get shirts. Received and replied
  6. WhoAaa lol. Where are you based DJU? I might be able to pick the stencil up over the weekend...? That way me and GG can meet early and do the shirts. Then everyone can meet us a bit later.
  7. Not from what I can see. Just Old Family Rednose Pitbull
  8. I think we just have a fabric pen so don't know if the stencil will work but you can always do it and see on the day. Just got Kitts order so am placing the order now Get back to everyone with the price in a few. We have fabric pens in 10 colours!!! love crayola lol Oh someone needs to bring a newspaper...so the pen doesn't go through, also the people that have things for the shirts will need to be there in enough time to let the ink dry before we put them on, I was going to aim to be there by 7:30 with my stuff Yeah for sure. Its only 10 or so from my house so no problems
  9. Ok I have done the order. I have emailed seller a request for total so she can fix up the postage. Total should be $37.13 for 7 shirts. That is $4.20 postage for 1 shirt and $2.00 postage for the other 6 shirts. That is a total of $5.30 per person. Kitt - There were no Red 12's and only 3 red 14's so I got you a Red 10. No problems! Happy for you to make something up for us to use
  10. I think we just have a fabric pen so don't know if the stencil will work but you can always do it and see on the day. Just got Kitts order so am placing the order now Get back to everyone with the price in a few.
  11. I will get them delivered to my work address and if I get them with enough time I will wash them. So long as they show up by the Friday next week I should have time to wash them. (If the don't show up by then we wont get them )
  12. Fabulous. Yeah, I will just email her the order and maybe ask if we can get them sent as soon as possible because we only have 7 more business days before the walk.
  13. So true Staranis, I've lost count of the number of times i've heard people referring to their dogs as rednose, what stupid uneducated fwits.. if you're really into a breed learn the facts!! And as someone else posted having a rednose certainly doesn't make it a pitbull, labs, dobes i'm sure there's more and people just buy into the hype! They somehow think that rednose is some special type of pitbull which it is not. And i doubt there's any true ORFN in Australia. Very true Staranais and Geo. Sadly there is a stigma that Red Nose Pits are tougher, better fighting dogs then the other Pits and so obviously every idiot latches onto that. "I'm so tuff I have a rednose ay" The other issue is as mentioned people think any dog with a rednose is a pit, in places with BSL this is very bad for dogs who are just crossbred who have rednoses. Ie anything with kelpie, boxer, DDB the list goes on.
  14. OK I am going to order the red shirts today. So far I am ordering 2 for me - 1 size 10, 1 size 14 (me and friend) 1 for Golden Girl - Size 10 2 for Dandy - Size 14 1 for DJU - Size 10 1 for Kitt - Size 12 (Had to get a 10 due to the seller not having 12's) Can Kitt and Dju get back to me about if they want me to order shirts for them and what sizes. We need to do it now otherwise we may find we don't get them in time DJU if you are registering with our team follow the stops below Click the link on the OP of this thread Click Register NOW Select – I want to search for an existing team, hit continue Search DOL Doggies and hit the green tick Click on the team name as it comes up and click the green tick again On the next page enter the password which is dol2011 then hit join. 15. http://www.barkcontrol.com.au/shop/dog-enc...-kennel-runs/08 These guys have some decent sized kennels for good prices, you can buy roofs for and they seem pretty simple to put up/pull down. $460 for a 3.8m (L) x 2.3m (W) x 1.8m (H) + $118 for a roof
  16. Yes it is used to refer to a certain line of APBT but as someone else said who knows if it really is... Re: Being illegal I believe it was around 1992 that QLD bought in the law against Pitbulls not sure about other states. The ACT and NT have no restrictions on pit bulls though.
  17. Cool I am going to get a 14 but because I would rather it too big then too small lol. Anyone else need a shirt?
  18. Yea I only did a drive by today but will probably take Phi over for a proper look see at some stage tomorrow, so will report back when I get a better look.
  19. ROFLMAO at the last few replies! Will be great to meet another DOLer and a Swedish Vallhund how exciting!!! I am pretty sure you have to buy a ticket for anyone entering the venue area on the day..so your mum would have to have a ticket. Did you want the details to register with our team? ETA - I still need a tshirt so if we want to bulk order and save on postage I am keen. Dandy??
  20. I liked Kroll but if we can find one with water that would be great! I found a good Southside park @ Elanora Park, Wynnum. The dog off leash park is HUGE and there are lots of walking tracks etc as well.
  21. OMG Kitt! That is horrible. I am always paranoid about my dogs jumping out windows so I only open them a little bit or if they are down enough for heads to stick out a bit i have them tethered/restrained. What an idiot! Glad he was apologetic though! Glad you are both ok! Let me know if you need anything.
  22. As someone already said the dingoes have many natural prey foods already there and are not starving. Introducing rabbits to what is a mostly untouched environment would reak havoc and they would destroy the island. I don't think it needs to be as far as banning toddlers/young children, my friend went over Easter Weekend and her toddler came out just fine. It comes down to the parents being responsible about their children. If you don't want to keep a constant eye on your child then don't go to Fraser Island or leave your kids at home with babysitters/family because they need to be closely and constantly supervised. Yes, but unfortunately there are a lot of people out there without any common sense who do not properly supervise their kiddies. It may be a tough restriction but if it saves lives (of both the dingo and human kind)... Not allowing children under a certain age rules out the scenario of the young child wandering off and getting attacked. Heck, I'm pretty sure one of the islands off Cairns in FNQ (Lizard, I think?) have an age restriction and that's only for quiet enjoyment of the island, nothing to do with predators. I would say the island in FNQ is privately owned though. I don't think Qld Government can put age restrictions on public land... You are a good parent but a lot dont have common sense like mr.mister said and i think that has been proven with kids that have been attacked by dingoes. If they can put restrictions on alcohol, smoking and dog breeds etc they should be able to do that. LOL I don't have kids (outside of the furry kind) Your right lots don't have common sense that is why I think rangers need more power to remove people from the island if they are beong stupid or breaking the rules. It is one things to ban products/dogs and another to stop certain people from going to a public owned place and could you imagine the stink that would be made. Many of the people who visit the island have families, for every one irresponsible parent there are 200 responsible parents on Fraser. I wonder if they were Aussies or tourists (the people whose child got bitten). Aussies seems to be pretty responsible on the island these days.
  23. OMG this sounds exactly like Phoenix!! When I do targetting with her my trainers have called it punching lmao she is so over enthusiastic about it! She does the grunting/growling/whining too. I make her sit away from me when eating dinner. Well how rude of me!! She gives the cats attitude too if they won't play with her (which is always)
  24. They are beautiful looking dogs. I like the colours and their build. That puppy is to die for
