What a lovely initiative. We had a class pet turtle in primary school, it gave me a greater appreciation for turtles. I love their charter

I like to have one of each... they each add their own dynamic to the family. Have had one female who never leaves my side, is emotional and doesn't like getting her paws dirty. Have had two males (at separate times) who were/are both little boys who love exploring, getting into puddles and dirt, are happy go lucky and the family clown. I've been surprised how my three have conformed to societies stereotypical norm for that sex.
