The training club should help you to acheive this, if they can't help, find another club. -
Why Do People Feel That A Tug Game
PAX replied to dasha's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I get your point, and you are correct, but needs to have lots of value of the game/reward, reward history, consistency of markers and bridge words, and faith of a reward. Easy! -
Why Do People Feel That A Tug Game

But you should have a bridge word/words to get from the ring to the dogs reward. Your dog should have faith that you will always provide the reward through reward history.:D -

Tugging heaps with lots of dogs stops you from getting bingo wings. -
Congrats Sandi & Deb and the dogs.

Would the pending payment be for you to register them with your council? You pay the vet to microchip them not to register them with council.

Chester's First Night At Puppy School!

Yay, and good for you and your dog -
I hope you haven't asked that question with sarcasm, I hope I expressed that any dog can be better with drive training. Dogs do what works for them, whether that is a reward or avoiding a correction. I believe if you don't want to use drive your only other option is using adversives to get what you want, I guess it depends on what you think is acceptable. I do not want to use corrections for my dogs to play my silly obedience game, i want to pay them well for my game by offering the best fun for them. Of course this varys with often self rewarding work like herding and sometimes agility or retreiving..
