  1. I have but I don't have photos on this computer.
  2. I play little games with my 14month old girl to check she knows the verbals and signals. I do sit, drop, paw, back and stand in random order of verbal or signal and she nails it every time. She is the first dog I have trained that knows stand off a verbal or signal, the other commands I have found easy to train. Makes me smile every time I do it, and it looks so fancy.
  3. Apart from cooked bones splintering, the main problem for the dog eating cooked bone is it can be very difficult for the dog to digest which often leads to constipation. Not a nice thing to fix for vet or dog.
  4. Have you ever seen chickens being chased?, it's all feathers and noise. If I was a dog I think this would be the best game ever. I agree with the better fencing suggestions. Sorry about your chickens.
  5. There is no way I would do stays with people that told off dogs next to my soft, good dog. Set it up so he always gets it right and he will get more confidence.
  6. If you're walking both dogs together when this happens I would suggest you take KC on his own until you overcome this problem. If he is fearful of the little dog on the deck, then he gets told off by his kennel mate this could be adding to his anxiety. It is quite common for dogs to refuse treats when they are stressed. I would approach walking past in a very confident, matter of fact way. If he is crazy about balls you could try playing with him as a big distraction until you get past the problem dog. Good Luck.
  7. Prodigybxr, I love your clip and I love your dogs. The music suits them so well.
  8. Your vet will give you duplicate vaccination cards if you explain they have been misplaced.
  9. If the club is affiliated with the CC I'm not sure how you would go having dogs on the ground that aren't fully vaccinated as that is the reason most clubs wait until 16 weeks.
  10. I have a really shy timid dog that was very well socialised as a pup, she has never had anything bad happen to her to make her timid. I actually had two pups with similar breeding, both raised by me from the same age. One is very outgoing, loves everyone and the other is very timid so in my dogs case it's genentic. My friend has bought a puppy that is the repeat mating of my puppy and she is very outgoing.
  11. Yep what a naughty dog. :D I watched a few of them, he doesn't show you anything just the before and after but nothing of how he acheived it.
  12. Gawd it's all a bit technical, you sound like me when I switched to BARF. Just give him the stuff and see what happens. I think any unwanted stuff would just get pooped out. :D You should notice an improvement within a month. Just to make things more confusing I also fed Evening primrose oil caps and cold pressed olive oil a couple of times a week. I stopped it all after about a month and just gave the fish oil and cod liver oil when I remembered. I never fed Livamol to this dog.
  13. When my Dobe had scurfy skin I gave him 4 fish oil capsules per day plus two cod liver oil capsules per day. After two weeks I cut it back to two per day and Cod liver oil caps a couple of times a week, he weighed 40 kilos. Also try the malaseb wash if you haven't already, if just lifts all that flaky skin off, honestly it was like magic (I am not a Malaseb rep, I swear). :D
  14. Adding fish oil capsules may help, and it wont hurt him.
  15. Hey Warley, A friend of mine that has shown black dogs for years swears by Malaseb to lift scurf and dandruff. I found it was excellent and left no residue in the coat. Also a lot of people with brown Dobes say that livamol is the worst thing for making the coat colour patchy and blotchy. I like missing link for shiny coats.
  16. That's Ness and my point, if they make a mistake you can't do anything about it as you are not to go to your dog in a group stay. Your dog got to complete an incorrect behaviour and there was nothing you could do about it. If a dog humped my dog in the stays I am sure she would be very upset as she is very timid and that is a risk I wouldn't take for a Nqing score but that is just MHO, whatever floats your boat.
  17. LP, I think what Ness meant is that there is a risk in CCD stays (most dogs are very inexperienced and often unsteady) and if you are only NQing why take the risk.
  18. Dax, there are 12 pups and there were 22...............
  19. Yep Coffs, are you going to come to our trial on the 22nd of September????
  20. I could take one of the problems for you. The are just the most beautiful dogs.
