If your dogs are desexed they can be registered on the Associate register with your states Canine Council and you can compete and get titles (hopefully) in any fields you decide. Koolies rule.

Tassie, I bet you're glad to be home.

There is a thread about this on page three.

If you do a google search with the correct spelling of her name (as Miranda posted) you will get lots of info.

We survived our week of camping. What did other listers that attended think of the Camp? I enjoyed learning how to teach all the tricks and my dog is too. So what did you think was the best of it and the worst?

Mary Ray has done it in Heelwork to music comps in the UK

I am in two minds about this toipic, I honestly think that dogs don't know the difference but we change our behaviour and that is different and puts our dogs off. I think it is a good training investment to get your dog used to all aspects of the ring and build heaps of drive so they can cope when we are stressed and nervous. I heavily reward removal of the lead. The ring ropes A person walking around them like the judge. Have someone you respect video and call for you to simulate ring nerves while heavily rewarding the dog. Video and watch the diference between training and trialling, try to make everything the same. When you watch it, be critical of the differences. Try to have a routine before heelwork so the dog knows and gets excited to work and knows the cues to recieve reward. That's all I can think of now.

I buy mine from the USA http://www.cleanrun.com/ but you need to to do a big order to make it worth while because of the postage prices, get some friends to buy stuff too. With the great Aussie dollar price it is a great time to buy. Make sure you buy the oringinal 'Kong' product.

Come on (Llewton Hewitt 'come on' sign here), I shared then with lots of you before the computer ate them.

Does anyone have the current Dogs NSW Obedience rules saved on their computer? If so can I please have them, pretty please. PM me for email directions. I used to have them and my computer ate the file.

That's ok Erny, I still love you. My bad writing.
-
It involves teaching the dog to chase the lure, jumping out of the boxes and hopefully running really fast.

Although I personally don't commonly train with a clicker, it doesn't have to be a good addition to only the tool box of "positive trainers" ..... can also apply to "balanced trainers" as well and be used where its purpose suits the dog and the training exercise the best. Erny, That is what was part of the info add for the clicker from the site/link i posted.

Does anyone know if an I-click (no-name brand I have seen on the vet direct webpage) would fit on a normal wrist band (the coil ones). Yes. the click arm coils fit any clicker. The polar paws site has them for sale complete with wrist band.

http://www.polapaws.com.au/ecommerce.php?a...81312ef7a1& The rounded design means the i-Clicker is more comfortable for trainers and the big yellow button allows you to Click from a whole range of positions - in the palm of you hand, in your mouth, you can even drop it and it will land ready to be clicked with your foot. The i-Clicker gives a softer sounding click and you don't need to press very hard to Click. This is a great addition to the tool box of positive trainers.

Congratulatons Ptolomy. Can I send my dog to you?
-
Is it a box clicker or an I-click?, the i-clicks aren' as loud. You could try sitting outside with some really yummy food, click and throw her a peice of food. It doesn't matter if she doesn't come near you and you're not rewarding anything, you are just teaching her that click means food. If you feel the noise bothers her to much there is nothing wrong with charging a verbal marker the same way, pick a nice short word like 'yes' or 'good'.

Huge Congratulations LL and CJ. You deserve the great results as you put in the training.
