Thanks guys, i looked it up and to me it lookes more like a Portuguese water dog.. PWD edited to add that it does look a lot like a Lagotto too :D maybe a PWT x Lagotto
-
I know sorry it's not the best picture and hard to tell if it's a big or small breed. I will look up shaggy Lagotto and Portuguese Water Dog and see what they look like. thanks
-
Sorry for the poor quality pic! My friend found it somewhere and would really like to find out the breed as she has always wanted one of those :D very cute! I dont think I've ever seen one before..

we use the same thing, it's a very short lead that clips in the seat belt thing and collar, we did have a harness but spudd hated it and kept trying to get it off. He is good in the car, usualy just lies down or sits down and looks out the window.

I did too. the note from Liam's mum should have been posted here instead of the dad's story tho. I will show it to my step son and i have learnt a few things too!

Shocking Truth About Cat And Dog Food
Spudd replied to White Shepherd mom's topic in General Dog Discussion
I trust royal canin. The breeder recommended it and we stuck with it. Spudd loves it, he is very healthy and happy, his coat is shiny. The breeder we got him from has been breeding bull terriers for over 20 years now and has always fed her dogs dry food and have never had any problems. I did think about RAW diet but decided not to change. Why change something that is working. I think that the bad dry food is the cheap brands from supermarkets -
I got my first ever dog almost a year ago and when i was reading about bull terriers, many said that they are not recomended for first time dog owners. But his training is going really well and he is just awesome! I love him to death! :D

Amstaff First Time Breeders...many Questions!
Spudd replied to Amerigo's topic in General Dog Discussion
Going to a show is a great idea, also searching the net and buying a few books -
We have been to Holden Hill Vet clinic on North East Rd, had puppy school there and a visit due to conjunctivities, they seem alright. The best vet in Adelaide is Chris at Noah's crossing at Two wells. I got Spudd desexed there. It's a bit far but worth it!

I would do this too. I would be so sad if I was forced to give Hugo up and the new owners wouldn't let me see him.. I would just ask for their email address and email them piccies every now and then. If i had to give Spudd away, i don't think i'd want to visit him, it would make me even more upset and make me miss him even more, it must be so hard for them. But keep visiting him is making it harder i think..

Hi I buy mine from http://www.stepaheadcollars.com/ Her name is Sue and she makes the best Martingales for Hounds She is from Canada tho but not too expensive for the best quality! I paid $45AUD for a cool 2inch collar including shipping.

I have spoken to owner of Chilly Dog & she has told me her dogs wear these coats even in the snow & dont get cold, (they have short coat breeds) the lady also does dog sports with these coats on & they dont interfere with the dogs movements I am ordering the winter coat for my Whippet :D A little pricey but I think it would be worth it, the best I have found so far that wont interfere with dog while trialing I got a coat from here: http://www.caribuhorsewear.com.au/waterproof-coats-c-313.html

Good on you! I take Spudd out in the rain, he does have a rain coat but he probably doesn't even need it because he runs like crazy and gets warm in 2 minutes. Most dogs love running in the rain! That lady needs to get a life hehehe

Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone here lives near the Linear Park around Holden Hill? I walk Spudd at Highbury on weekends and on week days i walk him at night and in the mornings at the Linear park but never see other dogs there? Would be good to socialize him during the week too if any one is interested He is a very friendly fella There is a dog park at Holden hill we used to go to but some of the dogs there are aggressive, constantly have conjunctivitis or hump and the owners don’t do much about it unfortunately

Hi guys, just a quick question :D I was wondering what you think about adding a teaspoon of natural yogurt (low fat, no sugar added) to my 10 months old Bull terrier's dry food every day? He getts 2 meals a day.

Hi Guys, Spudd has Conjunctivitis again Poor little man, he had it a few months ago and they gave us a paste to put in his eye twice a day for a week and it went away, now he got it again and even worst this time, i hope it is Conjunctivitis, it's kinda yellow/green color in his eyes and green in his nose, he also got a runny nose, sneezing, etc Maybe hes got a cold? Will see what the vet says tonight I usually go to Holden Hill vet clinic but they don't have any appointments left for tonight so i decided to try Adelaide Northern Veterinary Group - Modbury on North East Rd. Has any one been to that clinic before? any thoughts? Here is a pic of Spudd :D

Driving From Syd To Adelaide With Dogs
Spudd replied to MadWoofter's topic in General Dog Discussion
We drove from Sydney to Adelaide on the weekend and went past Ouyen Pinaroo and Lamaroo, there is nothing there! There are nice parks in Mildura & Renmark tho. -
Ohh.. that's very strict. was there complication in the op? Maybe with this operation, his routine is out of whack and barking is an outlet of too much energy and frustration. once his stitches are out and he is back to his normal routine and getting the right amount of exercise, he would bark less and not care about what happens in the back fence? That's exactly what the obedience trainer said! I hope that you are both right. ;) I know i was strict but i listened to the vet, he is my first dog and i wanted to do every thing right. :p I cant wait to take him to nice bush walks with me next week! oh and there was no complication in the op

The barking isn't boredom, we play gentle and we do some clicker training and he follows us around the house, he is always busy, there must be something he doesn't like behind that fence! I think i was a bit strict with no walks at all for a whole week but back to normal exercise the next day isn't right.
