Hi Just organising where to meet the inlaws when we are at a show on the weekend we are in ring 6 does nayone know if a ring layout is available anywhere. Trying to explain where to park as they are elderly didnt want them to have to walk to far they dont have a disabled sticker thye arent that bad yet but still trying to help them a little bit. Hi, I have been watching and reading this forum page for a little while now. I have a tripawed dalmatian and was wondering how she would go. I wanted to get permission to be able to enter first. Finally got the ok and we have been in trainng for a couple of weeks now we are almost ip to 10 ks no break and shes going fantastic she would go all day after the first training session i got my vet to check her out as i didnt want to cause any undue stress on her. Having said that she is superfit vet reckons shes fitter than almost all dogs she sees in the surgery. She pulled up fine so we have been training well tommorrow we should crack the 10 ks weather will determi e it as we have to go after my daughters netball. Shes also doing it she is 12 so again i wanted to check she was allowed to do it and yes as she is 12 its fine shes also a ju ior member so its all good shes got her jack russell we must look like the odd couple but have had so many positive remarks about my girl. I was worried people would think i was mean and if she struggled in the tiniest way there is no way i would do it still not sure until we crack the full distance but shes loving it she sees the bike helmet amd goes all nutty. Our little jack is working on her fitness after maternity leave so she found it a bit harder and has so far oly got to 5 ks again weather depending we will hopefully go a little further this week.

Does anyo e kmow the dates of the ACT and the Sydney one. I have an entire bitch so trying to roughly work out dates to see if she will be inseason if we can get her last few points for her CH title she maybe be desexed so wont be a problem. Thanks

I have emailed her and to.d her the deposit will be fully refunded once the pup has a new home. I dont need any more dramas. She was apologetic and i can thank the lucky stars he didnt go to her. He might now be going to a friend so fi gers crossed that comes off great home there.

Finally got a reply shes changed her mind. She has requested half her refund back. Im happy to do that or all of it. What do others think. Shes decided she cant commit to a puppy betterr now than in 6 months time and i have to try and get him back.

I have phoned her her mobile is switched off or out of mobile range. I have emailed her and aslo sent a facebook message still no reply. I dont think that having thta number of anmals means a horarder but she hasnt been honest with me and wont reply to me if she doesnt reply before getting a pup she definately wont afterwards. So now i wait to hear from her so i can return her deposit.

Thanks for reassuring me i wasnt keen to take a deposit but she was insisting and this being my first litter and probably only i wanted to try to everything right. My gut rles i reckon. Im off to try and call her if not i will email her.

Someone at our dog club told me legally i am obliged to sell him as she paid a deposit??

S i thought i has sussed this girl out asked the right questions she seemed to answer and tick all the boxes as an idela owner. She couldnt come up and see them as she needed to get driven and it was about 6 hr round trip fair enough. She askes if she can leave a deposit on him id sent a million photos i said ok. She deposited it inot our account. She was supposed to come last weekend but told me she had to go to sydney to see her father and it would make the trip to long to come back via our place and pick up the pup. Fair enough then she said she was coming this weekend well its now wed early evening i still havent heard form her. I look on her facebook page and one of her friends has written . Yu didnt tell me you were going to sydney to pick up a new cay you are one crazy cat lady. She hasnt mentioned cats she told me thye had an elderly weimeraner. So now im thinking shes an animal horder im getting bad vibes. The mother wasnt too keen to drive up with her and in the last conversation she said she hasnt gotten around to telling her step father but she said mum knows. Am i allowed to email call or however i can contact her and tell her im not happy with the arrangement and refund her money. Things just arent sitting well with me. Im annoyed as i turned away lots of nice potential home. Well hes safe with me until he finds his forever home. He is 10 weeks this friday.

Excellent thanks. I just gave a meal of soaked kibble and mince and blended it together yes very messy so tommorrow. Wnt make it as sloppy. Thanks guys great suggestions off to do groceries this afternoon so will get one of those tiins.will also get some mety type bones have run out in the freezer.

My babies are three weeks today and am going to start on the solids/slop how many feeds a day do you start with. My thoughts were one then second day two to get their tummies used to it but wonder what others do

Definately sooky males ???? They all lapped up a little bit of meat blended with milk divetalact this morning and all had a go so will give them a little more this afternoon must have been hungry as they have all crashed out for ages. Mum Is doig a great job and also from all their extra suckiing yesterday mum has more milk by the looms of her. People mentioned leaving some water in a bowl my question is what type of bowl do you have that they dont knock over and can reach into? Thanks for all your help and ideas. I guess like human babies they are all different i think the hot weather is making them hungry they will be 3 weeks on friday i didnt want to rush into feeding them too soon before thye are ready but i guess if they are lapping they are ready???

I think ours have only just started to be able to hear two times today i made lod noises near them and they all jumped up from a sleep startled for a second then settled down again we have two kids on school jolidays so dont think noise will be a problem. We were lucky no fireworks we live out of town so had friends and their dogs stay as one is majorly noise phobic and has to have three valiums normally so she had a drug free new yeard eve.

Thanks i tried them on soaked biccies and divetalact and not much interest one boy licked it off my finger the others no interest think we will wait and try next weekend they will be three weeks then. I ave put a oool mat in one corner a couple have rested their heads on it. Just had a visit from a friend whose been a longtime breeder she said they are all ok and mum doesnt need to be with them as much so it was good to put my mind at rest she said they also start o vocalise a little bit as well just perimenting as long as its not on going they are fine. Thanks or all the support guys you never want o ush to ting the vet uneccesarily but also dont want o not go if need be and being new to having a litter i think i do panic at the drop of a hat....????

I think you are right ???? I picked him up rubbed him and heard him burp. I have another one a bit whingey as well now i think mum needs to make more milk so i have shut the door to the room shes in and not letting the kids in to see the pups today only to give mum her lunch all quiet so might just need some time to relax and build up her supply as the babies are growing i remember my own kids doing that to me.

He is still doi g it and i heard him two ti es in the night. Could he be constipated? He has only has mums milk and i thought that woldnt make them constipated? Ill try some mince id like to get some youghurt to but do nt have any and the shops are closed today public holiday. I dipped my finger in a bowl of milk and he did try to lick it off my finger the others are all quite content so i assume mum still has enough milk this whi gey one isnt even the biggest one but in terms of walking and eyes opening hes been the first so maybe hes ready for solids

I have one pup wo after feeding is whinging just tonight im tiking hes still hungry as i put him back on mum and he sucked and went to sleep. They will be three weeks on friday so i assume its too early to start feeding him mush food is it a good idea to give him a top of of formula or jst put him back on mum its a bit weird its also hot tonight so have the fan on and wet their tummies in the afternoon. Is it an emergency call he does settle when i put him back on mum

What was the first indication that there was a problem? Has anybody read the thread on giving red cordial to puppies? literally in a space of hrs he developed what was believed to be hypoglycemia which we treated and there was minimal improvement .. went to bed Friday he had the slight shakes but apart from being whiney wasn't too bad, just lethargic but hoping a good nights rest and give his body time to rest. Saturday morning had to look after family but he was back to how he was Friday so treated him again and left him to rest with the plan of heading to the vet a short while later but sadly he passed on.. we're not sure if possibly mum sat on him as originally we found him curled up under his bed but we're never going to know.. our girls breeder had a litter recently where she lost a few to what we still believe was hypoglycemia.. she also managed to save a pup from it too.. so right now being vigal with everyone else. being an uncommon breed we don't know if they are susceptible to the condition.. so it's just a matter off Learning what we can.. it has been touch and go here as mum decided to stop feeding for a bit but we managed to get onto that.. her breeder has been so much support to us. just all the little things have Made it a roller coaster at the best of times lol! Our girl is having three meals a day so etime she doesnt eat all her lunch other days she scoffs it all. You poor thing with temps that hot hard on you mumma and bubbas. If its hot and im trialling i have been known to add a tiniest bit of cordial into the dogs water and then they drink up.

How are all the december babies going? Our little jacks are growing so big. Tommorrow they are two weeks old and will get their first worming they are starting to get up wobbly and walk rather than crawling flat on the ground. Their eyes are just starting to open with little slits in the corners closes to the nose maybe tommorrow we will have eyes. They are so quiet and clean they hardly make a noise i was worried anout them being so quiet and my breeder / mentor friend said no just means mms doing a great job feeding them and settling them. I will buy some baby nail sissors tommorrow as they have sharlp nails now but i cant use our normal ones as the nails are so tiny. Its just been so good as all of the family are home for the holidays these must be the most loved bubbas ever. How will i ever let them go at 8 weeks. My friemd is taking the girl so thats ok and im keeping a boy how will i choose which one out of three.
