Hi guys, I just thought I'd share an updated video of Rumour doing some Flyball training, not very exciting stuff but her focus is unbelievable. eta- she has a long line on in the video because there are a number of other dogs on the oval at that time including people who decide to walk through our training with their dogs off leash, more for her safety incase I need to get to her in a hurry

I have two Border Collies but am particulary interested in doing it with my younger girl (just over six months). I am not a member of a club currently because I work on Saturday mornings at the moment and am unable to make the beginners sessions. I am looking at changing this to have my weekends free but this will not occur for quite a while yet. Once I have my weekends free I will be looking at joining a club. At the moment I am a beginner who would like to begin to learn whats involved and hopefully developing into being able to do ANKC trials.

As the topic states is there anyone in or around Sydney that runs private lessons for herding? Thanks

You mean you can get clothes without dog hair?

Hi all Thought it's about time that I should join this thread, I have started obedience training with my almost six month old Border Collie puppy and we are loving it We have so much fun at training and I love how enthusiastic she is about everything. She throws 100% of herself into all training we do (both at home and at the club). She is such a little problem solver and I can't wait to see how we go in Obedience. I'm sure she's going to be teaching me lots as I've never done formal obedience before (only Flyball and Agility).

We'll be easy to spot. Just have to look for the Choc. Merle Border collie throwing a tantrum in her crate because she's not allowed to get out and have a turn. I have no doubt she will be making sure everyone knows her displeasure. In the next crate there will be a red border collie fast asleep because he's used to her tantrums and couldn't care less I'm definitely looking forward to our road trip/ mini holiday with the dogs. It's going to be lots of fun

I'll be there with my boy Diesel too, little Miss Rumour will be tagging along with us but she's probably going to be in a very grumpy mood because she'll miss out on being able to compete by under one week

This happend with my girl last week, trip to the vets for a round of antibiotics for her UTi and she's back to her normal self. Snoring (loudly) the whole way through the night. If your concerened that its a break from normal routine I would take him to the vets

I was just told it's an opportunistic bacterial infection. Bacteria travels up the dogs urethra and into the bladder.It is also more predominant in females The vet also said it can occur more often if the dogs are not going to the toilet regularly (as in they are holding it in for hours at a time).

Turns out it was a bladder infection and the vet ttold us it was understable that she was having a lot of accidents as asoon as she had anything in her bladder she felt like she had to let it out straight away. Which explains why she she was having so many accidents inside instead of going out like she normally does. She is on a course of antibiotics and we are already seeing an improvement

Now that you've mentioned that it makes sense. We'll have a trip to the vets in the morning

My Border Collie puppy is currently 18 weeks and hasn't had an accident inside for about 5-6 weeks. All of a sudden today she's gone to pee inside about 5 times. Every time I've managed to stop her and take her outside to he grass without making a big fuss. I then ask her to go the toilet and give her lots of praise and a reward for going in the right spot. I am also still taking her outside plenty of times during the day especially after eating and waking up. Is she just having a bad day or is there something else I should be doing. Could it be something health related?

Ours get Xmas from us, my parents, my OH parents, my grandparents, my OH grandfather and my great grandmother. They also come over for the dogs Birthdays with some pressies and are invited to most family members Birthdays. Spoilt much?

My girl's breeder loves hearing from us. If we haven't sent anything in a while she'll send us an email seeing how we are going

Rumour is currently 18 weeks and has a mixture of adult and puppy teeth. I haven't found chewing to be too much of an issue, that may be because she has a few old towels that she likes to drag around and chew on. I'm hoping that will stop her chewing on all of my things

I don't know. Maybe the officer in charge of the Amberley Qld dog unit could tell you. Yes the RAAF at Richmond do this as well. It's not all the time though just when it is needed
