Look What I Got My Guys @ The Nationals
~Rumour~ replied to sheena's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Rumour got give one to sample, she ate the whole thing except the tail which she took back to her crate and kept it in there for about an hour before she finally decided it was safe to eat  We too spent a long time at that stall (and spent a lot). The owners were lovely and so helpful! -
All Paws Paradise at Pimpama is where the courses are being run by a small group of instructors :)

I'm in Brisbane and have been doing Nosework for about two years. There are also classes being run on the Gold Coast. My two BC's love this sport.

Recommended Food Dispensing Toy?
~Rumour~ replied to The Spencinator's topic in General Dog Discussion
Baby food or mashed pumpkin mixed with mince/ dry food in kongs then freeze them. It helps bind everything together and make it harder. Or soak the kibble before you pack it in and freeze it. -

Where Is The Cheapest Place Online...
~Rumour~ replied to laffi's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I've always found Oveds to have great prices -
Congratulations, it is such a hard thing to achieve. It's always such a let down when you get so close because it's not the actually thing no matter how awesome the start is

My girl is one of those, she will spit food out or pretend to take a treat but actually not take it if she thinks I'm not paying attention but loves her tug. It made attending a traditional obedience club an issue as she would spit the treats back at the instructors that tried to make her eat them, we weren't allowed to use a tug because it would teach here to bite people...... Needless to say we left the club and she will happily do any obedience command for her tug or ball.

Agility/obedience/dog Sports In Brisbane
~Rumour~ replied to Elise+Hudson's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Maria at Red Dog Agility does private agility lessons as well as group classes. If you are still interested in Flyball there is going to be a good comp on tomorrow afternoon at Pine Rivers :D -
I couldn't see if we already had one if these threads for 2014 so I thought I may as well start one. At our first agility trial for the year Rumour gained her JD title, with two quallies and two first places (for the 400 dogs) My OH and Diesel also got two novice jumping quallies with two first places (out of the 500 dogs) so now they are just one off their title. My favourite run of the night was Rumour's JDO run, just one bar down but it was our smoothest run yet since we started trialling. Looking forward to the rest of our trialling year now

My other BC will eat it straight out of the tub if you let her

It may seem odd but I made little frozen yoghurt 'tablets' for my boy as he wouldn't eat it at first (he is now happy to eat it just sprinkled over his food). In an ice tray I just mixed a small amount of youghurt with the RHVC and froze it making little tablets for him.

You can make the wobbler harder by putting something else in it with the dry food. I start off by putting a tennis ball in as well and work up to bigger objects that make it harder. -

Congrats TO, so close to getting your 0.000 A big brag for my OH from our last agility trial for the year. Last night he ran Diesel in only his and Diesel's second trial. His JD run was a little bit interesting  As he was walking to the ring for JDO he told me not to bother filming because he wasn't going to bother attempting the distance challenge. I told just give it a go and if Diesel needed more help then cross the line. He came away with a clear round (their first ever qually) and 1st place It was a beautiful run but I'm pretty sure I held my breath from about halfway through until he cleared the last jump.

Have a look and see if there are any Canine Country Stockists near you. They would be able to get it in. http://caninecountry.com.au/

I've seen people display them in a vase or a few, it can look quite good.
-
I like the Joint Guard Liver Chews - they are slightly more expensive than the powder but much easier to handler (I hate powders). Vet n Pet Direct is the cheapest I've found them (and also currently 15% off) http://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/JGARDLT#.UjJtwtJgfSs Tumbleweed, Oveds are pretty good pricing too.
