  1. these mind games are all such great ideas. I will definitely try putting treats in a drink bottle for my 4 month old golden, it seems like rather than liking any of the toys I have got for him he just loves playing with empty bottles anyway so might as well make it rewarding and challenging for him as well as keeping him occupied. KTB your video's are great, I love the one of Elbie with the kong wobbler and with the tucker ball, I may have to look into getting one for my puppy. Thanks for the great ideas
  2. Hi there, I have a 4 month old Golden and we have a friend staying with us who has a 10 month old Lab, the labbie is great with eating, he is really well trained and doesn't try to eat the puppies food at all or get angry when the pup tries to get his food but our little golden just doesn't seem interested in his food unless it is a competition, he eats a little but then stops and when the lab tries to eat his food he gets interested in it again and will then eat it. Also he tries to eat the labs food instead of his own. Would this just be because it is something different? He did this at my mum's place with her dogs food as well, wasn't interested in his food but wanted my mum's dog's food. How do I fix this? just by feeding completely seperately? And how do I get my pup to just eat his food without it having to be a competition?
  3. My 16 week old golden does this too, not interested at all if it is just the dry food but if I put in some chicken mince or roo mince or an egg he loves it... he gets distracted too and just wants to play with us instead of eating. He is getting better now that he is a bit older compared to when we first got him... Hope you dog is going well too
  4. Hi everyone, My golden (Snowy) got a hot spot on the weekend, pretty sure it was from all the rain we have been getting and then having his harness on in the car rubbing on his skin. Took him to the vet and she shaved the area and gave him a cortisone shot and antibiotics and cream... They look a lot better this morning so hopefully they heal quickly... This might be a silly/vain question but for those with goldens, how long does it take for his fur/hair to grow back?
