While I understand your frustration and being totally over it at the present time and just wanting to get a prefix ( I only had my first list rejected and then got first pick of the next 10 submitted) don't forget it would be good if you also like the names you submit as you pups will be carrying it. It will need to be a name you can live with as to change everything again down the track would probably prove to be another nightmare.

+ 1 I recently used his transport services again, this time to send a pup from Melbourne to Perth, very happy with communication, service and price. The pup was sent in a PP30 crate (really to large but allowing for future usage) was under 8 kilos and I think most of that weight was crate, bedding and water.

I find toy poodles adapt very easily and once he realises life is back to normal (well his sense of it) with you and back in his own home environment I expect he will completely relax and be back to his old self. I am currently minding an 3 year old toy male while owner away on extended holiday who has adapted and adjusted to our routine very quickly and now when he goes out the back door with my girl comes straight back when I call him and stands still while I remove his belly band. I just haven't been able to totally re educate him not to lift leg while inside my house.

How do I answer this - the dogs live in our home and are never far from us at any time - was with them on the first two matings and all was well and held the girl and kept her placid - although she is a very laid back little girl - the third one cought me a bit of guard - but noticed them missing for a short time and found them together - so sat on the bed with them and my visiting granddaughter till they were apart - nothing untoward happened in the least - and the last one - they had come upstairs with me while I checked my emails etc. and were gone for no more than a few minutes when I heard the yelp - and went to see - and found them tied- have not left them unsupervised - the whole 6 days she has been here have kept in constant touch with her owner and she has no problems in the way things have been - they are not big dogs and my male is not an aggressive boy at all - very gentle - he is used to this with my own girls - I know a kennel situation may be different but I don't want to lock this little girl away and just bring her out for a mating and put her back - while she is here she is living as my own dogs do - have used my boy with own 3 girls in a similar way and never a problem yet. We all have our own ways of doing things and this is working for me. I had the option of sending my bitch interstate to my first choice stud dog to be mated but decided against it as after talking to the stud owner I realised my girl would have been kennelled for the week. As she is king pin here with full run of the house I decided it wouldn't be the best time to make a dramatic change to her lifestyle so I opted for using a dog where like MG they lived together in the house with supervision. After the week away I bought home a bitch that had a straight forward whelping and produce lovely healthy pups.

As I understand it Security were to do 5 rounds on the Friday night. I mentioned that as there were a few campers that may reduce the risk of damage only to be told the year before damage was done and people were camping nearby. So either the vandals were very quiet or the campers didn't want to become involved. Guess it is quite easy to find out what is going on in a small town - mobiles and facebook are great communication tools that sometimes can be used for the wrong purpose.

I know how you feel too - one girl here (son's) dog still isn't completely house trained but that is also due to him not putting in the time and effort. She used to sleep on his bed but he never responded when she need to go out. As a result she would get off his bed and toilet on siblings bed and then jump back on the bed with him. After throwing out one mattress I cracked it and decided to take over her training using crate method. I use her crate only if I am going out for a short period and for sleeping overnight but it isn't viewed as a punishment by her as it has a nice comfy bed in it and on occassions I found her in it of her own accord. The rest of the time she is in the kitchen dining area (vinyl floor) and quite happy to be there - of course she may prefer other areas of the house but she has to prove herself first. She has been really good - will toilet on command but even though she can get in and out the backdoor I still have to physically take her outside, give the command and watch until she goes and then praise. She is restricted to the family area by a baby gate and only gets access to the rest of the house if I have just seen her toilet outside. At the moment we seem to have the urine side under control but she will still leave deposits especially in bedrooms if she gets the chance i.e. someone leaves the baby gate open or doesn't close it properly when she has the need to go. The other thing that works against training is if others in the household don't assist or follow the same method when you are not at home. It is like two steps forward and one step backwards.

Same here I joined two to create puppy pen in are family room and had no trouble containing 4 & 5 month old toy breed pups. Found them great as I could add or remove a panel as required to fit the space. Actually bought another one last weekend so I can create a large contained outdoor area if required.

Same here - I was searching everywhere and calling out but couldn't find Ruby anywhere. Rang hubby who was in town to call into vets incase she somehow got out and was taken for microchip reading and as it was near the end of the day I didn't want her staying there overnight. Just couldn't find her even had the other dogs looking for her. At some point I went to laundry to top up dogs water bowl and who was on the other side of the door patiently waiting to be released. Obviously she had followed me in there at some stage and the door which is usually ajar had closed on her. Little bugger didn't make a sound while I had walked all around the large outside area including right around the outside laundry building calling out for her!!!!.

Started using it on mine (toy breeds)after flea outbreak last year. Must admit I only use it during the warmer months so they are not on it all year - started them back on it in November with no adverse effects to date.

Reattaching A Dog To A New Family Member? Help
Vacuna replied to angelsophie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Same here and as kids bedroom is opposite ours usually the constant scratching and barking at the door means I get up and let them out. They even prefer to sleep in their beds on our bedroom floor rather than in comfort on a doona on kids beds. One was my son's dog and she slept with him for 12 months before deciding to swap her allegiances. -
If more are seen in the ring on a regular basis maybe they might get some recognition in the long term.

Thanks - I even asked store manager of large supermarket chains and said they no longer stocked corn syrup. Did notice glucose syrup on the shelf but didn't get it down to read label when I was trying to find glucose powder. I have now been educated - THANKS!!!!

A bit of a diversion just wondering where did you get corn syrup. When I was looking for it I came up a blank in our local area - luckily I didn't need to use it with my litter.

They look good - might be the go for taking to shows if they are lightweight. Girlfriend and I struggle for space on the top of the show trolley when we only take one trolley away to a show. Wonder if they would be stable on uneven ground. Hopefully will still be in stock later in the week so I can check them out!!! Thanks for posting info

We took our dogs holidaying at Paradise Beach (Part of 90 mile beach) in the last week of January last year and they ran on the beach every morning and evening mostly off leash as long as we had the beach to ourselves (which was most of the time). We stayed in a pet friendly house. Only drawback was the mosquitos - which were dynamite down there last year. If you go on google and put in camping with dogs in Victoria - you will get info on camping places and also camping facilities in some of the National Parks which may suit you (they might not be as popular with general public as the tourist areas).

The reason you don't know she has been is because unlike the 2 legged kids the four legged kids (pups) don't demand some monetry compensation for their teeth!!!
