I am sure I saw some Timid Joe's on my travels - in a pet store somewhere while I was doing some retail therapy. Is it a specific IOD shampoo that you love the smell of? When my puppy arrived following a long journey she still smelt really good so I contacted the breeder to find out what she used (Aloveen). Nice smell to have under your nose when sharing a bed. Timid Joe still very much available, I have a few older people that come in to buy it, younger ones don't know about it and generally won't use a cake of soap. It is great on dogs with itchy skin, after all people use Coal Tar shampoos for psoriasis, sometimes the old remedies are the best. Any one know if you can still get Rawleighs Salve, "good for man and beast" I seem to remember was its catch cry. Pretty sure you still can get that product - I still have a can of Medicated ointment in the medicine chest - I can check it out if you are interested as Raleigh's Healthcare are exhibitors at the Seymour Alternative Expo being held this weekend.

Congratulations on the new addition. I am sure that everyone will have their own favourite products but if you pop into the poodle thread in breed forums I am sure you will receive some valuable advice.

My daugher unwittling tried some (I used an empty human shampoo bottle to dilute some of my groomers shampoo when washing my crew and left it on the side of the bath and she grabbed it by mistake.) She didn't whinge too loudly so I guess no major problems with having used it. It was either the royal jelly or the one with evening primrose oil so I wouldn't imagine it would have any bad side effects on humans.

Would be Deklan Kennels. Some results from FB BIG 6 - Boxer (Hobday) BIG 3 and RUBIS - Irish (Scott) RUBIG 3 - Cocker (Bellamy) RUBIG 4 - Borzoi (Davidson) A bit off topic - but not being very savvy with the use of FB is there a particular site that show results are posted on - or is it just individual's pages

I thought she was going to kiss him - only he reacted first.

It's actually the best dog show venue in the state! The venue is the reason I entered this show - only show I am going to in February as I usually don't show during the hotter months for the comfort of both my dog and self.

My toy breed bitches kept doing this too - they actually bit holes into the black pants so I gave up using them and for the last two years both pair have been sitting in a draw. Just recently I have been minding a dog who if given the chance will lift his leg inside. I purchased belly bands to use on him - have been very successful and in the same order I purchased some bitches pants but as yet haven't had the occassion to use them. The girls are 100% house trained and it will be a couple of months before they come back in season. I purchased them from an advertiser on DOL - LoveMyFurBabies. Britches come in a choice of fabric, competatively priced and I had my order within the week. Only question is will they stand up to the bitches test. If not with my mature girls I hope I can use them in the future on a female pup while toilet training and then hopefully she will be fine with wearing them when in season.

Soft pens have a large mesh area - no good for my toys as they are likely to chew their way out. Even in the soft crate they learnt to open the zip so I only use my hard crates at shows. I am not comfortable with having my dog run to meet me as I return from the ring.

I purchased one through EBay - found it was strong enough to suit my needs and as a bonus had a metal tray. If you check out the pet shops to gauge the size and get an idea of price you can check out the EBay and online stores -some even have specials with free postage.

Too bad it isn't on the north side - sounds ideal to me

Good option as you can maintain easy access to hot water service incase any work needs to be done to it. The compost panels do lots of jobs here too! Currently using some to block off access under the house as OH has run wire around most of the back of the house but not possible in a couple of places.

Thanks for the info and tip - much appreciated.

Would you be able to recommend the clipper sharpening man - have a few that need sharpening and debating on who to use? Would rather use a good sharpener rather than having to discover this for myself by trial and error.
-
Could you tell me what model Andis clippers - thanks
-
Can't advise on which are the best clippers for you but it would also pay to check out clipperworld (advertise on DOL banner) - as they have a good variety and price on clippers too.

Using the words strong nose and came up with the following - remembering you need to like the sound of the name - some may or maynot work for you. I would add the two together and see if I liked any of them when I said it aloud. NEZ FORT NASO FORTE NARIZ FUERTE SRON LAIDIR or the words the nose IL NASO LE NEZ AN SRON

I played with your dogs on line name (sniff alot - adding sir made it too long) and came up with ANNUSAMOLTO (Italian dropped the signore) SNIFFALAN SNIFFERMOI
