Unbelievable Snook Why are some dog owners SO CLUELESS ????? They make our lives an absolute nightmare. All the while happily oblivilous to the world. Errrrrrr..... Be kind to yourself. Hope you & Justice have an enjoyable evening at least. -
Yeah, it's hard around here for dog sports. Sydney or bust by the looks. I'd want classes or lessons having had no experience in herding at all. Stella would only be working on instinct atm having only ever seen a herd of stock once besides out of the car window

Great idea Westiemum

We'd had both here & both have been eaten. But I have to say I think I'm seeing better results from the Equine one. May be just me. Just got to watch their waist lines though cause Molasses can put on condition I have found but it also makes their coats gleam :)

Hi folks, Did a quick search but couldn't find anything. So was wondering if anyone would know if there are herding classes or alike for beginners in the Hunter Valley NSW or surrounding area. I have never done any herding but my BC girl Stella saw her first herd of cows at the w.end & was more than a little interested. Seems we may have found her calling. So I thought if i could find somewhere where we could both learn would be great. Thanks in advance :)

I was quietly thinking the same fkf... My heart boy had to have a tie back eventually but coughing was one of his symptoms.

Snook with that Dogmatics DVD. Do you have to be a member to buy it ? I love her work. I have watched her on Utube. She makes it look so simple. -
Poor Juene hope the Vet can get to the bottom of her issues soon. Paws crossed she is comfortable & well asap.

My 2 BC's don't mind it either. I too just put a couple of scoops on top of there dry food. No issues. They both do very well on it & have looked better :)

I too really like Emily as well. love the look of that rehab thing Snook. I also need some structure. I find it very easy to get into a training rut. Then I get bored & just play retrieve games or just have fun for a couple of hours I have great repore with my guys & they don't disobey me as a rule BUT we are behind in training. So I need a schedule or someone there to say, right lets do this, & I don't have to think or over think which I do a lot. Thanks Snook & teekay for you support. Means lots :) Just had to edit to add Stella saw her first herd of cows in the flesh on the w.end. we were in the country, camping. She went off barking it them & chasing them. They were on one side of an electric fence & she was on the other. She followed them up & down the fence line. I was very concerned at first as I thought Stel would be terrified & I certainly didn't want her going through the fence or getting injured. Much to my surprise...She loved it & was totally in her element. She came back to me every time I called too which was great. It was just like a light went off in her head, 'work' & that was it. She got quite cranky too at one cow as it was looking right at her. Her hackles went up & it mooed at her. The look on her face was like What the.... It was very funny. She did extremely well. Looks like I might have to find somewhere we can go do some herding work. I have a little cow girl on my hands I think  -
I use Rose Hip Vital tablets for myself from chemist wharehouse which seems to be giving me some relief with arthritic/nerve damaged hands, wrist & elbows. Both my dogs are on RHVE & they are both thriving. I buy this online from VetnPet Direct. $160 for 1 kg :)
