Im just feel so sorry for both you & NO I can't believe it either How bloody terrifying..... his dog isn't aggressive my a#se... sorry but the owners negligance has got me very cranky. Thankdog you reported it & surprise surprise we have a repeat 'known' offender . I hope you are both doing OK tonight. Be kind to yourself Snook & give your very brave Justice a huge cuddle from us. He behaved so dam well considering the shocking aggression that was thrust upon him. -

Thanks Hazy, for your kind offer :D I'm going down to the Peninsula fairly soon to see mum so I might drop by there & pick up just a small amount of a few varieties to see whether Sonny & Stel like it & if they do I'll find out where they stock it closest to me. -

I'm liking the sound of the Swaggerabout Hazy. I hope I can source some to trail my guys on. They are both fussy pants when it comes to their roo meat though. ATM I buy the human grade Micro roo mince from the supermarket for them which they love, love, love. It's $9 a kilo though. I have tried a couple of pet grade ones in the past & it was a huge eye roll & you don't think I'm going to eat that do you ??? Maybe they might like this one though??? -

Oh yes Snook. She was more than a handful. Right little bugger to be honest  Stella is definitely a work in progress. Thanks for your kindness & support Snook. Much appreciated :) I've been looking into getting a trainer but haven't had any success thus far. Also been looking at getting a couple of suitable DVD's to help me become a better handler for Stella. I need to step up for her so I can bring the best out in her cause I know she could be so much more. Anyway I was thinking of buying a DVD on Prey Drive Training. Normal obedience training is way too slow for her & she loses focus. Was wondering has anyone heard of Neil Sattin, he has a prey drive training DVD & I thought this may suit us. Seems to cover everything I need & in basic terms for folks like me. Thoughts on this or any other ideas...TIA :) -

Oh bugger kirty Darn KC. He would be really missing his walks. Oh nobodies fault just makes things difficult for a bit. -
Both mine love the Sunday Pets freeze dried ones Sheena. I just pop one on top of their morning kong half filled with roo mince :)

Excuse my ignorance Amax1 but what do you mean exactly by advanced training? Following this thread with interest not that I own a GS but I do own a very drivey BC.

Yes Dame Aussie, he may be a bloody doctor but he'd need one after I got a hold of him if he touched my dog...

This oxygen thief should be put away for a long time. He nearly kicks this poor little Pappy to death cause he pooped on the carpet & that's justified ???????? NOTHING justifies cruelty.... Evil B@st@rd

Yes, they are very bad atm here. One little dog at Vets the other day with 3 large brown ticks on him. Poor little fella nearly lost his life. Quick action from his owners saved him apparently.

Thanks Snook :) I've never had a puppy that didn't like to be handled much like Stella. She would tolerate a pat but anything beyond that you'd see her tense up & turn around looking at me like,'what the hell are you doing'. I just kept persisting. Daily grooming etc & handling but kept my eye on her though as I wasn't sure if she was going to bite me at that stage. She was pretty aggressive when I first got her, especially around food. She'd fly at me with her teeth bared & hackles up & growling her head off if I walked near her prized chicken wing. She was a real shocker... So thankful she has made a lot of progress & actually really loves affection now. She even quite enjoys a bath. Put herself in the bath when we get home from the beach & waits for me to come & rinse her off without even being asked. Who would of thought :) -

Gee this DVD sounds terrific thus far Snook Sounds like I will have to get a copy. Funny, Stella didn't like to be handled or touched as a puppy very much at all. I have slowly conditioned her to it. You could see her cringe as a youngster when I'd attempt to stoke her for any length of time. Now she waits in line behind Sonny for her massage every morning :D -
I would love No.3 BC but I am a bit worried I would end up in the same shoes as you Yippeegirl. My male would be fine with the new boy I would love to have but my girl is no social butterfly. She is very unpredictable. She may be fine but if she isn't all hell could unfold. She is not one to give up either. So I'm hoping as she matures ,she mellows some what & then maybe just maybe add no. 3. See how we go. :) Had to edit as I am so fortunate, blessed even to have my guys who are the very best of friends anyway. I wouldn't want to risk it. Not fair on the newbie either. Or upset my girl ... little miss precious :p

Thanks Snook, the way I'm going I'm going to need it. I found a really good trainer this morning. Had experience with very reactive dogs, 26 years experience Blah Blah Shame he is in OHIO
