I have a car chaser here as well. I too agree with Dancinbcs & Tassie. I use the same method as Tassie. Hear car or motorbike look at me for treat. While this method works perfectly because herding/ chasing is a natural instinct I would never rely on either of my guys not to chase off lead either.

Sorry slightly OT. Just wanted to say a big thanks for posting this nail link. Fantastic link & very informative. Showed me exactly what I needed to know about how to get their quick to shorten. Now on a mission for a nail grinder. Always wanted on anyway. Might try & find the quietest one though with Stella being so noise phobic. Thanks again CBD :) Back to the beautiful Greys -
Introducing New Puppy To Your Older Dog.
BC Crazy replied to suziwong66's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sorry I'm another that found your post very confusing. If you are having trouble controlling Wilbur now I would be getting a trainer in to teach you to help Wilbur learn how to behave himself before bringing No.2 puppy into the mix. Otherwise all you will end up with is double trouble IMHO. But is you don't have issues with Wilbur I introduced Stella to Sonny on neutral turf at our local park. I was there with Stella & my OH brought Sonny down to the park. I put 12 week old Stella on leash on the ground, then Sonny introduced himself to her. He was fine with her so we went home & I let Sonny into the backyard first then brought Stella out & put her on the ground. They have been Bf's ever since. Sonny is the boss & Stel is fine with that :) -
So sorry for the loss of your lovely girl Trifecta

BCC that's interesting about the stability control. I was behind a caravan a few weeks ago when I was driving home from Sydney and as you know the high wind areas on the F3 are pretty full on even for a car but this caravan was all over the shop coming down the massive hill to Mooney Mooney bridge. I could see all the brake lights and wondered what was going on, didn't help the dude was in the middle lane! I couldn't wait to get past it. Yes Hazy, we have been behind folks towing vans & they are swaying around everywhere. It is very dangerous & frightening. It is really difficult towing a van especially if a big truck goes past or in high wind areas. Naturally there are also some idiot drivers that tow vans & go way to fast as well. We decided to get the SC on this new van purely for saftey reasons & peace of mind. It is an extra & like everything else it is $$$$ but it is so worth it :)

We caravan a lot always with our dogs but the dogs travel in the Land Cruiser. Our van has stability control so it can't sway or jack knife. It has aircon & a diesel heater but I still don't think I would be comfortable with them travelling in there. Thats just me though. Our guys love the van. Love sleeping in there as well. I wouldn't leave them outside in the annex. Very easily stolen out of there IMHO :)

What Do You Say When You See A Dog Being Mistreated?
BC Crazy replied to BarbedWire's topic in General Dog Discussion
I sometimes see things that have really upset me when I'm out with my guys. I often wonder what other folks do too actually. Do you say something??? Intervene or what??? I have spoken up on occasion only to be told to 'F' off & it is none of my business. And it probably isn't but I can't bare the thought after witnessing abuse not to speak up & a least intervene if I can. I have seen one young couple with a SWF at our local dog beach on a coldish sort of day stand on the shore at low tide & literally throw this puppy up in the air & out into the shallows Apparently teaching her how to swim :mad I sore read. I couldn't believe it ! They were a distance away from me so I yelled out to them 'what the hell are you doing' to which they answered, 'teaching fido how to swim'. I walked up & asked them why aren't they going into the water as well then & they said 'Oh no it is too cold". I say, but you expect that tiny puppy to want to go in then?' HMMM... & another thing that is not the way to treat any animal. You don't bloody throw them I also showed them that it was indeed low tide & if you want to break puppies legs, just keep doing what you are doing then. I was fuming but kept my cool to get my point across. They actually ended up thanking me in the end but I wasn't after thanks just wanted them to stop mistreating this poor little pup. Shocking really some of the things you see. Amazes/horrifies me. That poor little JR op I wonder what happened to him??? -
Anyone On The Central Coast Nsw Feed Raw?
BC Crazy replied to Skysong's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Oh Delta I thought that because it's a tiny, not very modern shop & yes very expensive. I used to go in there years ago but there were puppies for sale in glass cabinets near the counter. Always quite a few actually. Even a 12 week BC puppy one day that did it for me. Never went back. The one at Taylors beach has puppies in there as well. One lot were only 5 weeks old when I inquired how old they were Haven't been back in there either. Think I'll just go to Medowie. It's a nice drive anyway. 11 dogs how do you manage 11 DC. I'm flat out with 2  Don't blame you for hunting down a bargin. Have pmd you about something. Hope thats ok :)
