  4. Happy Gotcha Day Didi. Gorgeous boy ????
  5. Such a heart warming story. What a brave lovely boy Kipper is. At the grand old age of 15 & blind it must be extremely difficult for him. He has been very fortunate to have found a very loving & understanding forever home with you Chris. Thank you so very much for taking this dear old chap in. Give dear Kip a big cuddle for me ☺
  6. I check my dogs more than once a day as I'm more than a little tick phobic I hate them with a passion. Have always lived in coastal area's so I've grown up with them & have seen way too many poor animals lose their lives to the horrible things.
  7. I will be really interested to hear some feedback on this product. Sounds great that you only have to administer once a month orally. As it is made from the same folks that make Frontline makes me a bit dubious to give it a go as Frontline was grossly ineffective as a tick prevenitive on my guys. Within 2 days of applying the spot on treatment I found 3 ticks on my dogs. We live in a fairly high risk tick area & Advantix works very well for us thus far but it does leave their coat a bit messy & it must be applied fortnightly to be tick effective. So will be watching this thread to see how others go with it & I will ask my Vet her thoughts as well.
  8. I did the same Pers. I forgot Goose is OSS's BC. I'll re read the post again as well now
  9. Oh Love this !!! Look at the change in their faces. Beautiful ????
  10. Chuck it out...would have lost all its nutrients/ goodness anyway.
  11. Gosh HD, Jake is such a character. I love the second shot with his tongue sticking out  He is built like the preverbial outhouse though, like you have said. His chest is as wide as he is tall just about. Amazing !!! no wonder you have trouble getting gear to stay put on him. I'm glad you are happy with your Webmaster. They are really well made & strong. I love ours & that handle comes in very handy when Stella is having one of her moments. I use mine mainly in winter when we hike in the bush. But I'm with you, they aren't the most attractive piece of dog gear. I would really love a blinged up version. We have the red one but still very boring on the eye.
  12. Maybe I need to get Stella a chair then Hankdog Yes I would be really chuffed with Jakes progress HD. I think you make a very successful team actually & you have done really well with him. With reactive dogs it's all about ANY positive progress = success, no matter how small. Your post made me reflect over our year & while we haven't made as progress as what I would of liked training wise I believe I have strengthened my bond with Stella & I think she does trust me a lot more than she used to which is very important to a dog with a very weak nerve like she has. So I am very pleased about that. Also I seem to have finally got her medication correct for the moment as she is the happiest & calmest she has been for quite some time. She is such a sweet sweet little girl. I just adore her to pieces I'd love the set up you have regarding a regular trainer HD & that is something that I am having loads of trouble finding in our area. There are a few trainers but I'm after someone breed savvy & who has had experience with reactivity. I did have someone who would of been marvelous for us but she got to busy & has loads of commitments with her own dogs unfortunately. Seems everybody that I have contacted that would be suitable ( & that really limits us)are just too busy. Will keep trying & keep my ear out though, hopefully someone will come up soon.
  13. Dear Maddie is just like my Stella. She hides behind Sonny when the camera comes out. She hates it & has done since puppy hood. So I have very few decent photo's of her. Sonny on the other hand is the biggest show off ever. He loves the camera & pours it on whenever there is a camera about. It doesn't matter who's camera either. He will run up & photo bomb a complete strangers efforts to take a family pic at the beach. Squeeze his way in amongst all the folks so as he is right in the middle, haming it up & smiles for his photo to be taken  I always love this thread every year. So many lovely photo's of such beauty.
  14. AWWWW Gosh, look at all those very well cared for little lovely's. That's dedication for you. Wonderful to see
  15. Well done Zig You have come such a long way. Congrats Staffyluv you must be bursting with pride :D Just wonderful what love & guidance can do. The sky is the limit... Gives me some hope too.
  16. Big d perhaps a Thunder shirt, maybe crate Jasper with a sheet over it as well. I find with Stella they more she runs, moves around lots etc the more agitated & fearful she becomes. Zanax & Prozac also work to help her anxiety. Maybe try some Resue Remedy to begin with as well.
  17. So sorry for your loss of your dear Robo Scootaloo. How heart breaking & so very tragic My deepest condolences to you & your family RIP darling Robo. You will be greatly missed dear fella
